This skirt is a bit low rise on me and the shorts are on insignificant, they are too short for my 5'10" frame and roll up, kinda defeats the point of them

I didn't think the bottom ties would bother me, but after some thought, I made the decision to return (if it's taking me time to 're-think', means something isn't perfect and they gotta go). But all in all, good product, fit was fine.

I would 100% LOVE this skirt if the shorts inside were longer. I like this style b/c it prevents my thighs from rubbing; however, the shorts are really short and they roll up so they do not provide the functionality I wanted. I ended up cutting out the shorts and just wear some jockey ones. The fabric and style is fantastic though.

First the positives, the material is high-quality as far as the built-in short and overall skort material. It retains its color wash after wash. The problem is with the waistband. I have two of these skorts; one in black and one in gray. After a year and a half, the waistband on each one is twisted/folded over in various places and no longer lies flat. It's uncomfortable and unsightly. I had to throw away my gray skort because of it even though there was nothing else wrong and the black one I just live with. Please do something about the elastic. I would love to order more of this style, but I don't know if you fixed that problem since I purchased my first two. I purchased mine in a department store, not online, to be specific.

The skirt cute but the shorts are useless. I will keep as it was on sale but this brand really needs to step up and deliver a functional skort.

I bought the white and the black versions. The fit, colors, style are perfect BUT I hate the shorts. They roll up and bunch constantly, and I find myself having to pull them down every few minutes. The hems aren't very robust and there's no silicon to stick them in place, either would probably improve things.. Frankly, it's embarrassing to reach under your skirt in public.

Somewhat shorter than I expected and the material a little bit more flimsy than I am used to.

I bought this about a month ago in a size large. It is super cute, however, the shorts are pointless. They dont stay in place and ride up my legs, all the way around my leg, within a few steps. They are made from a lightweight material and don't have any grippy material to help stay in place.
I plan to add my my own grippy material to see if that helps.

This skort is very comfortable and good quality, fits great. However, I wanted a skort specifically so my thighs don't rub together, but the shorts aren't long enough so they ride up, i am CONSTANTLY pulling them down, so finally I just gave up.

The attached shorts on this skort are not tight enough, so they ride right up if you have thicker thighs. They also have a seam right on the inside of the thighs which adds to the chafing.
But the skirt part is really cute, so I'm going to make alterations.

I love the skirt portion, it's exactly what I was looking for! It's long enough to be modest yet short enough to still be functional and cute at the same time - all the while not getting in the way of a nice tan on my pasty white WI legs. The fabric is great, moisture wicking and water/dirt resistant. The SKORT part however, really sucks. It does nothing to prevent the infamous "chub rub" because it does not stay in place whatsoever. In fact, because it moves upwards so badly (and basically immediately) it was causing more chafing than going with nothing underneath at all. For reference, I'm not a "fat" person, however I'm athletically built and definitely have some legs and butt on me. I'm a photographer at a kid's summer camp and I'm literally outside in the full sun all day, trekking very fast on foot around a five square mile area. In other words, I simply can't have my shorts riding up non-stop. I finally ended up cutting the skort portion out of this $50 garment so I could tolerate it. It totally improved the entire experience and I now wear it every other day, if not every. Would be great if this came with build in undies instead of a full skort, or better yet with nothing built in at all. I'd have one in every color if this were the case!

First the good stuff: This skort is super cute! AND it has POCKETS, which I love. I am 5'9 and this skirt is a good length in general, and for work, and can be cinched up or down.
The one big negative is that the shorts part of the skort is not really functional. It fits everywhere, but the shorts aren't very tight/clingy, so when you walk or move around and your legs move or touch the shorts ride up until they are basically underwear, which is kind of a huge problem. I am tempted to simply cut them out and use it as a skirt, because then I wouldn't need to pull down my shorts all day in secret.

I love the length of this short, but have to agree with another review, the shorts are too short.

After loving this skort for the few months Ive had it, it has started to come apart at the seam on the hip.

I bought this skort because of the many great reviews. Like most Columbia skirts, it's super comfy and a great fit. That said, for someone who likes simple clothing, the bunching & ties on the side are pretty silly looking. They remind me of the trends in the early 90s when I was a kid. A+ for quality, but design leaves something to be desired.

I am kind of chunky in the thighs, but lean everywhere else, so skirts usually look best on me. I like skirts because the shorts underneath keep my legs from rubbing together while walking. The shirts under the skirt on this item are very very short and the fabric is loose...and it rolls up when you walk!!! I hate that!

I really want to like this skort. My biggest complaint is that there is no drawstring or any other kind of method to adjust the fit to the waistband. It is a pull on type of skort, and if the fit is a touch too big, there is no way to tighten the fit so that there will be no sagging, or accidental de-pants with this item.

Disappointed. Fabric wasn’t very comfortable. Didn’t lay right. When the sides are ruched there’s a lot of weird out-pouching of material that looks and feels odd. And the pockets are so shallow they’re useless to me and this is a huge pet peeve of mine. I’m surprised it has such good reviews.

It's a case of I really wanted to like this. I tried it on multiple times, I guess I thought something would change. It puckered around the pockets and the fabric below the waistband in the back would never lie flat.

I bought 2 last fall...great fabric, great fit but even a flip phone would fall out of the pocket and there is no zip pocket for keys...this renders these skorts sort of useless for hiking, kayaking or even shopping....too bad because they look great and are so comfortable

I like the skirt part just fine, right length (I’m 5’2”, 135lbs), comes up on the waist at a good level (not low nor high), right amount of stretch. It’s the shorts part that’s seriously lacking. They are flimsy and too short and don’t stay put at all when walking around. The whole point of a skort, for me, is the shorts keeping my thighs from rubbing together. These are too short and too flimsy to stay put and fail at that job.

This is a cute skort but beware of the shorts. I had to change clothes mid day because the shorts kept riding up. I looked ridiculous constantly trying to pull them down. I wish I'd never bought this!!

Unfortunately, I am not one of those lucky women blessed with "thigh gap" - instead, I get "chub rub." While the skort is adorable and was flattering when I first tried it on when I walked outside the inside shorts kept riding up - making my thighs uncomfortably rub together and chafe. It's a shame because the price was so reasonable. I won't be wearing this again.

Poor design choices... There is almost no point to the sewn-in shorts because the elastic doesn't stop them from riding all the way up! Bought them for golfing, unlikely to wear them for that purpose.

I really loved this skort, but the ties come out after a few washes. Disappointed that it didn't last - because it was a favorite!
