I purchased this jacket for my son thinking it would work for warm spring days, but the material is super thin, and will probably only work for summer nights. Also the material gets stuck in the zipper often due to the thin material. I will keep this jacket, but I don't think I would purchase again.

Bought the blue size XXS for my four year old grandson as he needed a rain jacket for school. The colors are perfect, and the fit is great. The sleeves are a little long, but can be pushed up a few inches easily. The lightweight quality of this jacket is great for the hot weather in Puerto Rico where he lives, and the hood keeps his little head dry!

Super thin, but that's EXACTLY what we need. Ordered for my son to take to summer camp, hot but needed something for pop up thunderstorms.

This is a very lightweight but effective rain jacket. The material is soft and thin. It will be great for spring and summer showers because it won't be too hot.

My lil one is 5yrs old he is on the taller side so the medium fit good. I got this as a spring jacket , yes it’s very thin but it’s okay for him since he gets warm easily . It has room enough for a hoodie as well.

We needed a simple rain jacket / windbreaker type jacket that is easy to layer, and this is perfect! The bright color helps you spot your kid easily and the jacket is packable and a great staple.

This jacket performs as expectedit stops the rain. My son is quite detailed with how his clothes fit and feel, even at the age of 7, and after several attempts we finally got it right with the Glennaker jacket. The jacket is very thin, so don't plan on your little one getting any additional warmth from this one. It's also quite 'crinkly' and is always wrinkled, but my son couldn't care less about wrinkles. It keeps the rain off of him and that's the ultimate goal.

Great but thinner than I expected. We've purchased many jackets from Columbia and have loved the quality. I should have done more research on this specific jacket because it's really just a rain shell with no lining at all. Works great so far and I'm sure it'll last a while regardless.

This arrived yesterday, and I expected more. It is a very thin layer and reminds me of a cheap windbreaker. I'm sure it's waterproof, but it will provide no warmth. And it is so thin I am concerned it will rip when my 8-yr-old boy plays outside. It looks like it will rip if snagged on a branch when running. If you are looking for a spring or summer rain coat for pleasant weather it is great, but as fall approaches I imagine I will have to layer it over a fleece. I bought a North Face rain jacket for my daughter that was double the price. While hers included a fleece layer, the outer shell was noticeably thicker. Hers isn't heavy but I am much more happy with the quality. I am not sure if I will keep this one. My son fits a size six, but we have been buying sevens to allow room for growth. The sevens are just a tad big. I bought this in a size 8 and the sleeves are a bit long but I am glad I didn't buy smaller as it wouldn't last past this season.

The size description calls the Youth medium size a 10-12, BUT it has to be really the typical size 8. My son is transitioning into size 10's now and this would maybe fit him for the next few months but definitely not after that. Also, other reviewers talked about the zipper catching in the fabric easily and this was definitely true for us as well.

Cool kids coat. Nice red color. Bought a bigger size than needed for next season but these are great for layering and at the beach on a rainy oregon day.

Grabbed this Rain jacket for our big 4 year old!! I ordered a small hoping it would be big and fit him through to next year and it's perfect! Love the inside pockets and the hood is amazing and doesn't slide off!! Kept him dry in the rain from the car to church!!
