I bought this jacket for my son in "blue." Vey nice color & great function. We had it out in multiple NC rainstorms and its was great. My son lost the jacket & I actually repurchased the same model from Columbia! Very nice for the price and never a leak. The second time I bought the "lime green". It is brighter than expected, but he loves the color and I love seeing him in the woods :)

He won't wear a coat, he gets too warm. It rains a lot, and is overcast so we want him in something. This is a nice fit, he doesn't overheat, and I don't have to worry about him getting cold and wet. This jacket is waterproof, and has a nice hood. So, even though he doesn't think about getting wet and catching cold, I can put this on his backpack--its light and rolls up nicely--it's with him, he doesn't have to lug a big coat around, but he has a nice waterproof jacket whenever he needs it

A little narrow in the sleeves but length is fine good overall.

A really good value, well constructed and comfortable. My son likes it so much he refuses to go to school without it !! Will definitely be purchasing another for my youngest .

This jacket kept my son dry in pouring rain. Its too lightweight, doesn't keep warm, needs to put on layers. Perfect for warmer days.

It would have been nice to have ventilation air holes in the armpits like some other rain jackets. I would also been nice if the jacket was longer in the back to cover one's seat. Lastly, the hood was far too shallow. I wouldn't buy this again, and not worth my time to return it. It will do for now, but I will continue to search for a better one elsewhere.

Great quality jacket. Just wish the size jump between small and medium wasn't so extreme.

Purchased this jacket (XS) for my 6 year old in the fall. Fit is great. Color is fun/visible and it keeps him dry, but I am concerned that the material doesn't seem particularly durable. I noticed today that it's already developed a small hole/tear near the hood which is worrisome as he's probably worn it less than 60 times. I also find that it gets dirty very easily. I assume the lite color contributes to this so I'd definitely recommend a darker shade if I were to purchase this again which is sad because I love the visibility of the bright mango color.

bought this awesome jacket for my 9 yr old grandson who has a little bit of a pot belly. got a Medium and it fits him great in the shoulders and arms (with a little room to grow)... the length of the torso of the jacket is perfect (just covers bottom)... but the torso WIDTH is too small. Get this jacket only if your child is somewhere between lean and very average. Any little pot belly what so ever, and this one will not be a good fit in the torso. I should have paid closer attention to all the other reviews that say it runs small. Sadly, I'm returning it.

This jacket seemed like a good find... until the button broke off on the third wear. The jacket wasn't misused or abused in any way, perhaps it is just a dud. In terms of how useful it could be as a rain jacket, I do find that it worked well.

Beware - if you are looking for a smaller version of the adult jacket this is NOT it! The hood does not fold away and there is no double sided zipper for stowing the jacket in its own pocket. We don't want to spend the $6 to return, but VERY DISSAPOINTED in the quality!

The zipper opens up from the bottom continually. This is disappointing. I leave for India tomorrow where it is monsoon season. So I have no time to return it. Thought I could trust Columbia.

They mailed us a used Jacket with a kids name written on the inside and visibly worn.
