Testing this out for a 200mile hike. Dries fairly quickly, not smelly and the material is fantastic. BUT the fit is a little off. For reference I am pretty small, not broad in any sense. I wear size small in Nike sports bras. 5'6" 120lb 32B and a small is almost too small. I think the shoulders are too short, because the material is too close to my armpits and the band rides up because that's where the shoulder straps take them. I would not get a medium because of the excess material near the armpit. Definitely needs a to be more narrow near the armpits and longer straps for me to buy this again

Surprisingly comfortable, great for yoga or other workouts but not enough support for running for this 36D gal. Felt a tiny bit long, like it could stand to haul the girls just a bit higher.

I'm pretty picky about sports bras. I really like this one because it has the wool material on the inside which doesn't seem to get as stinky or gross feeling and then elastic on the outside like a normal spots bra. It's comfortable and keeps everything in place. I normally have the issue of sports bras riding up so I was worried about getting the small which is my usual size, but it fits good and and I have very little of that issue (not sure if I'll ever find w bra that I don't have that completely didn't do that). Another breath thing is I washed it and accidentally dryed it, but it was fine, unlike most wool products that are ruined when you do that.

Trying out bras for a long trek with minimal laundry facilities- this was comfortable, chaff free and odor resistant

I thought it would feel warm since it seemed heavier than my thinner poly sports bras but I was wrong! Very comfortable. Good coverage even when wet. Gave it a 4 star because I've only worn it on one overnight but expect it to rate a 5 star by the end of the summer.

Smartwool is a great improvement over cotton or the synthetic, wicking fabrics. The design of this bra, like most sport bras does not separate larger breasts, rather it forces them together, decreasing air flow, and the evaporation of sweat.

I will be backpacking for 7 consecutive days this summer. I have heard that smart wool products are the way to go to minimize smells and for easy hand washing and quick drying. So, I am conducting my own experiments. So, far the smell factor test and drying fast tests have gone well, for the underwear and bras. I have been washing with bar soap, because that is what I will have on the trail and these tests have been positive. I purchased the same size as I normally do and the bra is a bit bigger than I would like . I have never worn a wool sports bra before so don't know if this Product runs bigger? I do plan on buying another smart wool bra at the next smaller size.

Very comfortable but not supportive enough for running. Useful for activities like yoga our cycling. Easy on, easy off, no discomfort anywhere and the racer back allows for nice freedom of movement.

Okay, so despite some of the other reviews on here saying it fits kind of weird, I ordered 3 of these for a big ski trip. I had really high hopes that maybe the other people are shaped weird and this bra would be as amazing as the other reviewers say. It is DEFINITELY cut weird! The arm holes come up too high. Some people were saying they want longer straps... but that isn't the right solution, you just need to cut the arm holes lower, Smartwool. This is a design flaw, please fix! When I put my arms out straight in front of me the seam/hole cuts into my arm/chest/armpit in the front. That being said, I can tell that the performance of the fabric is going to be great, perfect for staying warm even after sweating it out in the backcountry... just fix the cut, please! Not super looking forward to wearing these on my trip, but better than my previous bras I guess.

This bra is a bit itchy, I can't wait to get it off after a day in the mountains. Pros, it dries much faster than a regular sports bra. I was finding my wet sports bra was contributing to getting really cold after workout activities. This bra helps with that but I wish it was more comfortable.

I love the front -- high enough for support. But the underarms were too high and dug into my skin. Back it goes. I am a 32 B and size Small was the right size for the band. Perhaps it did not fit because I am petite. Might work better for non-petite women.

My regular size (medium) is definitely not supportive enough for high impact sports. But I love the fabric and it is so comfortable. I am trying one size down to see if maybe I could use this for low impact sports because the fabric is so great.

This seemed to be just a little bit bigger. Usually a medium fits me insports bras.. but this one was a bit bigger than I liked. I didn't feel like I had the support I need in a sports bra

While the band and cup size on this bra were fine, the straps need to be longer! I have a long torso, and the bra keeps "creeping up" over the lower portion of my breasts. And this is when I'm walking or hiking, no running. It's a shame because I like the fabric and the other aspects of the style. I placed it over a same-size version of one of my Champion sports bras, and the straps were visibly shorter.
It's probably great for those that it fits well, but it just didn't work for me. :-(

I ordered this bra in a small. I'm usually a small (or even extra small in tops), and that's what I ordered after looking at the size guide. However, this definitely runs small. I was really impressed with the bra overall and the fabric, but it was too tight. I will likely re order in the medium some time in the future because I really liked it!! Just need to size up. I got this for running and I think it will work well for that.

A bit snug - you might want to order up a size. Also, because it's not 100% wool, it doesn't fend off odors quite as well (though it certainly is better than synthetic materials).

I bought a size Large for coverage sake, I usually wear a 34D. In the store it seemed like a great partially wool bra, but after trying to do any sort of physical activity or even walking my chest pops out the bottom. Most sport bras have a tighter band around the bottom to help this issue, but on this one the stretchy-ness is is esstentially equal throughout. I couldn't go down a size because then something would pop out regardless. The quality of the material is great, but for people with larger cup size and smaller rib cage the issue we're all familiar with is also a problem with this bra.

Would be great without the seams on the top of the straps. Those dig into my shoulders just trying it on for a few minutes and I was intending to wear this backpacking so those seams would definitely hurt with weight on them.

I have a few of this same bra from 3 or 4 years ago and the fit and material was perfect. A lot of my Smartwool products have broken down over time and these are still going strong- after hundreds of days of running, biking, and skiing. However, this year's model, and the last few have been of much poorer quality and have a much worse fit. Specifically, this year's has very wide straps and feels wide in general- on a person with a broad rib cage and shoulders. This causes more material to be able to move around and rub on the shoulders, which becomes more uncomfortable when wearing a backpack or Camelback. In the last several years, the fit also felt either too tight or too large again. Additionally, this year's style also chafed my underarm area a lot- wider seams on some models have prevented this. Finally, some of these seams have ripped out on my newer models, something that I don't have an issue with on the older ones. Each year I keep trying to see if Smartwool goes back too the "just right" old fit, materials, and construction but they haven't yet. I will keep my fingers crossed as I love these bras for other reasons- quick-drying, anti-stink, etc.

It's not seamless. There are clear seams at the shoulders/on the straps, so I don't know why they would describe the product as seamless! Super frustrating. Also the little air/breathing holes on the bra show through a fitted top, which just looks weird.
Most annoyingly is that it definitely is not supportive enough for any medium to high impact activity like jogging. I am usually a 34A. I bought size XS and the material of the bra is very comfortable and stretchy, but so much so in that it doesn't provide enough support and sags in some places. There's bounce and jiggling when I jog. I am not sure what to do now because the store I bought it from online only accepts returns on unused gear.
It doesn't smell after use, which is a good thing. But for the very high price I would really expect something more from Smartwool - a bra which is actually seamless and supportive. My first (and maybe last) Smartwool product.

I had read great reviews about this bra. I wore it twice for running. The rib cage band rode up and caused chaffing on the breast, a sign of being too big perhaps, but the armpit elastic near the pectoral muscle feels too tight. The black color also is not colorfast and permanently stained my white running top.

I bought this bra for running, unfortunately I had to return it,the straps are very short making the armholes to close to the armpits. I had the feeling that my breasts were going to come out from the bottom. The material is nice and soft and the color selection is great. I hope that smart wool can correct this for next years model. I love smart wool products. I can wear them multiple times for exercising and they don't stink, saving water and energy in laundry in addition to not adding microfibers to the water supply.
