I really like these shoes for new walkers. But was disappointed that in less than a month the stitching is falling out in 4 places.

We normally love this brand, especially for fat little baby feet. However, we had these shoes for one week and they are falling apart. I’ve never seen anything like it. My son isn’t even walking. Just crawling. The stitching is falling out and the shoes are coming apart. I’ve written to Stride Rite and asked them to replace the shoes. Just unbelievable for what they cost.

Stride rite for little ones. No questions. Soft sole to learn to walk

Both of my boys learned how to walk in these shoes. I love the soft motion technology and it seems to really help a wobbly new walker. They are comfortable and super easy to put on as they do open up really wide. I would recommend these as great first shoes.

My little boy has wide, chubby little feet, so it was hard to find comfortable, flexible shoes for him. He just started walking, so we needed something with a flexible sole and these are absolutely perfect. We tried some little sneakers sold at Target & Walmart and he kept tripping and falling because the soles were just too stiff. Most sandals sold in stores were too narrow and left painful marks on his feet too. These are great because: they fit perfect (no more painful marks), he doesn't trip and fall as much anymore because of the flexible sole, they seem really comfy, are super easy to put on him, and they look adorable on him.

Great shoe! Wear with socks or without. Has lasted a long time.

Bought this as a first shoe in early spring size 4.5 xw and it was comfortable for our son immediately. He learned to walk in the shoes and was outdoors several hours every day throughout the spring and summer, on grass but mostly on driveway and sidewalk surfaces. As he outgrew them we bought a 5xw and recently a 5.5 xw. No odor issues at all. We plan to use them thru the winter. The soles are flexible similar to a moccasin, but of a rubbery-like material which is very durable.

I was looking for summer shoes, as warm weather was approaching - something my 18 mo son can wear without socks. I think these are good for spring. Will probably need something with less coverage and padding during really hot and humid days, but these shoes still protect his feet while the openings allow a little ventilation. They are easy to put on (very important to me) and appear to provide good support. I have bought several pairs of Stride Rites for my little one and these didn't disappoint.

This shoe is great for a beginning walker. The design is cute but also functional. It gives coverage to the feet whether the child is walking or crawling (read: dragging toes along hard floors). My son's feet are fat like any toddler and these seem a bit wide at 4M (his other Stride Rites are 4.5W). The good thing about them being wide is that they are easy to get on his feet. The strap opens all the way and then secures tightly.

Great shoes for someone learning to walk. They seem supportive but not too bulky. My son actually likes wearing these and he hates most shoes and socks. Thinking about buying these in every size!

This is a great shoe as the warmer weather is approaching! Gives my son that sandal look but protections/coverage over his toes and the support around the ankle is great as he's still working on his walking and running skills :-)

I have bought this shoe twice now since my son outgrew his first pair. They are comfortable every day shoes with flexible soles that are great for play. The only downside is that these shoes stink after being worn! They do well after a wash and look as good as new. They are also on the wide side so my son can wear socks with them when it is chilly.

I bought these shoes for my grandson. I was impressed with the quality and workmanship. This is a beautiful shoe with great support and ones that he actually keeps on his feet They were true to size.

I love these shoes! My son just started walking and they are great for his wide, chubby feet. The only thing I have to say negative is that they did get a little stinky.

Been using stride rite for years.. Hope they hold up like the last 5 pair! Excellent for our second little one.

These are great. I bought them for my 18 month old walker boy. I had gotten the equivalent for my daughter when she was this age, so I knew I would be happy with them. The footbed is this comfy memory foam with contours! The fisherman style, I thought, would be perfect for ventilation since it's the summer, but would still protect his toes. However I now wish I had gotten sandals because he can really get hot in these. Here in NY, these would have been better for spring or maybe fall. He graduated from Robeez with the thin suede sole to these, and they've facilitated his walking so much? Overall, great product. Also we found he needed the Extra Wide which few other brands offer. Stride Right has always had great quality.

Shoes fit my son's chunky feet very well

Excellent shoe for my toddler grandson. He just started walking 1 week ago. The soft motion Stride Rite was perfect. Easy to put on and softly padded. He took off as if he was barefoot. I have always purchased Stride Rite's for my children and felt it would be what I'd buy for my grandson. Was a little surprised that the walkers of yesterday were obsolete. I still trusted the brand, so I decided to buy them for my grandson. So far so good! Very happy with my purchase.

This is not the quality I have come to expect from Stride Rite. After a month and a half of use threads are coming out that I've had to cut off multiple times and the back portion on either side of the heel has worn down almost completely. They have not worn like other leather Stride Rite shoes that I have purchased in the past. Very disappointed with this purchase.
