OMG I love these pants so much! Flattering fit, a nice amount of stretch, good size front pockets. The reason I didn't buy them: the circumference of the zip-off area was so tight I could not sit down or comfortably bend my leg. What a pity. I'm have average sporty thigh size. Also that side zip pocket is kinda useless. Bring back cargo pockets please. I would have loved these for hut to but hiking where you need to look decent in an airplane, in cities and do the job on the trail. Thanks. Hoping for an extra inch on that leg area next time. xo

I'm about 5'4" and 114lbs. The zip on the thigh was too tight, especially when sitting. Overall good quality, the pants would've fit fine if that area could stretch.

The fabric began to "pill" after the first wash! Now having washed several times the pants are covered in pills and they look awful! They still serve their basic function. But they were not made with the level of quality I have come to expect from this company.

I own 2 pairs of the Columbia Saturday Trail Pants that I bought a few years ago, which fit perfectly, and so was excited about getting another pair. However, the new pair I received was too narrow in the knees (where the zipper is), and so returned them for another pair in the same size. The 2nd pair fit perfectly in the legs, but was too tight across the rear. Maybe Columbia changed manufacturers? In any event, I'm giving up.

Only pair of Columbia I’ve returned. Just didn’t feel comfortable around the zipper and I decided to go with roll ups instead. Love the fabric. Love Columbia brand pants. Stretchy comfy.

I bought these even tho many other reviewers complained about how tight they are where the shorts zip off..... if you have small legs then I'm sure these fit great. But if you have muscular thighs then when you lift your leg up they are pretty stinkin tight where the zipper is (since there's no stretch). It doesn't help I'm taller and the inseam on the shorts is the same. It would be nice if they did a 12" inseam on the tall pants so that they wouldn't be uncomfortable. Everything else fits great so hopefully they'll fix the tight zipper problem.

This pants is well made and fits good except where the seams meet at the knee. It was a little tight in that area only.

These are high quality, but too tight for my athletic thighs. The zip offs would probably remove my skin if I were to actually zip them off. That's why I rated them average and do not recommend them. I had to return them; it was hassle free. I would say these were the "skinny jeans" of convertible pants.

I love the look and style, but they were way too tight around the thighs (around the zippers) when bending down or in a crouch type position. They fit fine in the waist and felt fine when standing. However, I planned on being active in these pants so because of the tight thighs, I had to return.

I love these pants. The material is great and the sizing in the waist and length is true. The only problem I have with these pants is that there is absolutely no give in the thigh by the cut off zippers! I can't move in them! The problem isn't incorrect pant sizing, it's just these zippers don't flex. I've returned these and bought the non cutoff Saturday pants in the same size and they fit perfectly. I love them! I will likely love these when the zipper issue is fixed.

The sizing is very small compared to my normal pants size. I will need to exchange them.

The trouser waist seems wider than my hips and make these pants and uncomfortable fit for me. The fabric also pilled almost immediately. They are good for the city, but pilled whenever I sat on anything rougher than an easy chair.

The quality and fit of the pant was great, with one big exception. The zipper at the knee that converts the pants was quite tight when I actually tried to lift my leg. Walking normally was fine, but taking the stairs would be difficult. This may not be an issue for people with smaller thighs, but mine aren't that large. I am 5'10"/160lb, and the 6 long fit great otherwise. Unfortunately, I have return these.

5'9", 150lbs, I have really long legs. I got a size 10 Tall and the length is awesome! However, after I wore them once they are baggy around the hips/waist - so they stretch with wear. My hips are 41" and my waist 32". Also, because I have such long legs, the zippers tend to land higher up on my thighs than I'd like, so they feel tight when I'm sitting, they are fine when standing. I thought about a size 8, but am worried the zipper would be really tight. If you wear skinny pant sizes than you'll be fine. Middle of my thigh is 20-1/2 inches. I like how they feel, great to wear in the summer, really lightweight, but I do wish they fit me better.

So these have the classic trail pant camel toe. Plus if you have muscular thighs then you'll be unable to walk because of the zipper to convert these to shorts

Really wanted to like these pants, but they bind at the knees/zipper when you sit down. Bought them for myself (5'1", 115 lbs) and both daughters (5'3", 110 lbs) and we all have different size upper legs/thighs, but they were binding on all of us.

I will be honest and say that I have a hard time finding hiking pants that fit me well. I'm 6' tall, 200lbs, and not the typical physique for women's hiking pants. I was happy to find these on sale, and glad I got them, although I don't think I would have paid full price for them. The length is great, but they are so form-fitting and I call shenanigans on these being an actual size 16. I would love women's pants to be a bit more like guy's pants: a little baggier, a little less skin-tight. I'm not trying to show off my assets when I hike... I just want to be comfortable.

The zippers on the thighs are way too tight. I've always fit into size 8 so I'll be sending these back. Not sure why the design is so constrictive just at the leg zipper (where you unzip for shorts).

It is not easy to find pants that are truly long and fit well for women. These do just that. Very comfortable, true to size and fit nicely. The only concern I have is that after only a few light wears the stitching fell apart.

Fits everywhere with the exception of the convertible zipper site where it is too tight. I can recommend product if you have slim thighs.

Pants were overall good quality, nice olive color. My butt looked very flattering in these. I am 5'9 so I ordered the Longs and they were the perfect height! Unfortunately the waist was really tight. I typically wear anywhere from a size 10-14 depending on the brand. I know Columbia tends to run smaller so I ordered the 16L. Everything about the pants looked great, except the waist was really tight, even for a 16. I'm sad I had to return them!
