These are an active wear short and they are superb in fit, feel, movement. Watch for the styles with the Kinetic fabric. I am 60+ and found these shorts suitable in length and fit. I have washed and they fit just like before. I do not overdry any of my fabrics, so treat them well. I use for walking, yard work, hiking, and just casual wear. Great colors available too. My husband started wearing Kuhl and loves them, now I see why. Consider the dimension of the leg openings when buying for yourself - they are not flared, but fitted, so thigh size might be important to know.

Great hiking shorts. 5'9", 140ish lbs. Ordered size 8 and they fit perfect. Love the fit and very flattering.

I like these shorts! I am constantly in search of shorts that I can wear hiking in hot Arizona, but that also look nice and can hold my iPhone. These fit the bill.

These shorts are very comfortable and wear really well. I think they do run just a bit small. I might be between sizes and the larger size fit. I wish they were a little shorter - would look more stylish.

These are terrifically comfortable, super cute, and the perfect length. As in all things Kuhl for me, I size up. Every other brand on Earth I'm a 2, and with Kuhl, always a 4. I know what to expect now.

Great shorts, so comfortable. I am normally a size 8 in Lucky, a size 10 in Prana. In Kuhl, I wear a 12. I like my shorts a bit loose. These shorts fit my larger hips but do not gap at the waist. I also have these shorts in a longer length. I think I am a Kuhl girl!

Light weight, cool, flowing fabric. Falls half way to knee. Fantastic hiking/walking short. Nice enough to be worn around town or for a causal lunch. Waistband stretches. Sides unzip at bottom of legs for extra inches. Kuhl runs large in the waist, but has an interior waist string that tightens. Nice shorts!

These hiking shorts are amazing! The waistband is very wide and comfortable, I have a bit of a booty and there is plenty room, the zips on the side of the short are great if you need a little extra space, and they don't ride up at all! Also, I wore them in the pouring rain and the water rolled right off of them! This is the second pair that I have purchased. Highly recommend by an avid rugged terrain hiker!

I bought this pair at the store and loved them so much I ordered another pair online. Fit great, not too short or too long. I can do yard work in them, golf in them, they are awesome! Extremely comfortable in the waist as well.

Very well made shorts. Perfect for warm weather outdoor hiking and getting wet. They do run small. I normally wear a size 4 or 6, depending on the manufacturer and cut, and I needed to go with a size 8 in these shorts. I'm 5' 7" and 125 lbs.

I have the Kuhl durango pants and love them. I was hoping the shorts would be just as comfortable. The shorts fit a little more snug than the pant in the same size. However, the main reason I am returning these is that the leg is made so it gets annoyingly snug across the front of the thigh as I walk.

I love the color of these shorts (I got the blue ones). They do run a little small, but were still able to accomodate my big thighs. (Mom says I am just big boned). They are also longer than most of my other shorts of similar style. I normally wear a 12, and I ordered a 12 in these. Overall, I think they fit well and are flattering, I just can't go buck wild with dessert after every meal.

I love the elastic waistband of these shorts. It's super comfortable and lays flat. Lots of pockets and the zipper at the bottom of the leg is a nice touch if you like the legs a little looser. Unfortunately, there is too much fabric through the hips and makes the shorts go up my behind.

Size 6 fit me true to size, if a smidge loose in the waistband (though my frame is narrow). The overall look on me was relaxed, but not sloppy. The zipper function on the legs is interesting - opened, an unexpected pop of hot pink mesh appears. I am pleased with this purchase and think these will be a great everyday/hot weather, outdoor activity short.

The shorts arrived with one snap missing. There was a hole where it was supposed to have been placed. The quality of the shorts seems fine, but this detail was rather disappointing.
