I love the look of these shoes, but the insole was painfully uncomfortable to me. I see some of the other reviews say something similar while others say they are really comfortable, so it may vary from person to person. I typically wear Sketchers, and find them to be super comfy, but I wanted to step up my style. So, I tried the OluKai Nohea in Mustang/Dark Java. They look great. My 10 year old daughter calls them my nerd shoes, but I love the look and they pair well with khakis, jeans, and shorts. The insole was very uncomfortable. It felt like the arch was too far forward. I ended up buying some timberland insoles (Timberland PRO Men's Anti Fatigue Technology Replacement Insole), and they are much more comfortable now, and I have made these my everyday shoes. The expense of having to buy the shoe plus a new insole is a bit more than I was hoping for, but now that I have done it I'm satisfied with the results.

Hold up well. I have had mine for over a year.

The most comfortable shoes I own! I really love these little guys. I got them to wear on my Hawaiian vacation and now I wear them almost every day. Like all OluKai shoes you might need to get a size smaller than normal. I also have a pair of the OluKai slip on shoes and found with those that they were really loose and not good for walking. These have the laces so you can have control on how tight/loose they are on your feet. I highly recommend these!

This is my second pair of these shoes because they are amazingly comfortable. I wore them all over Europe and Hong Kong and bought a new pair for our trip to Thailand. These are the most comfortable shoes you will ever own.

I have around 6 pairs of Olukais and these are my favorite. They are not green by any means like another reviewer posted. They are gray and extremely comfortable. They are also true to size and look best with jeans. Hope this helps.

Very comfortable right out of the box. Stylish and good looking with plenty of room. Great with jeans, shouts or casual slacks.

Insole felt good but was narrow in arch area. Put super feet insole in as replacement and made all the difference. Fits me very well and like the style. The reason only 4 stars for comfort is the insole issue.

These are a great fit for my feet. Otherwise, I tend to wear Birkenstock and a few pairs of Keen. I need a broad toebox, a relatively spacious instep, and heel not too wide. It meets all of those and has room for me to take out the insole and use my preferred insole (Finn Comfort cork insole). These are a little silly looking, but I have been wearing them for the past 6 months with shorts and jeans and nobody has laughed. I use these as general purpose shoes for wearing around the house, going on walks, playing with my son. The breathable mesh is great for the hot weather in southern California. They also dry very quickly if they get wet.

Love the way these look -- I think I would have done better moving up a half-size though, as feels a little small/narrow when I do any amount of walking in them.

Seems like a nice shoe, but color in the picture is way off. Looks grey, but it is a true green. Seems you never know what to expect with OluKai.

Comfortable with and without socks, right out of the box. Great choice if you've got narrow feet...the slip on Olukais were just too wide and the fit was too loose for me, but the laces on these make 'em fit just right.

First of all, this shoe is green. I love green, so I'm happy with that, but you just can't tell by the picture. Secondly, I was looking for a leather free shoe because my feet sweat and leather starts to smell bad. These are a synthetic mesh and breathe very well. Thirdly, I have a wide toe box and these shoes accommodated my feet quite well. However, I'll be returning these due to the fact that the design of the shoes is incompatible with how I walk. I take long strides and come down hard on my heel. The nylon canvas panel going from the sides around the heel of the shoe rubs against my heel as it strikes the ground and the only way around this would have been to make the heel cup solid, or at least semi-rigid. But no, Olukai has designed the shoe so you can step into and mash down the heel cup. Also, the contrast in weight between the thin (and awesome) mesh upper and the goofily weighted sole is just too ill proportioned. I really wanted to like these shoes because it's hot where I live and these kept my feet delightfully cool. One last note, and this is awfully picky:- these shoes are loud. I'm no ninja, but it's nice to walk without clomping.

Quite possibly the most comfortable shoe in the world. It's just too bad that the quality is so poor. I have had 2 pair of these in the past 4 months. Both of them are fraying at the seams. This is unacceptable. I love Olukai shoes in general. The arch support is fantastic and they are so comfortable. But if you have to spend this much on a pair of shoe every few months? Ridiculous. This isn't the case with all of their shoes. Just some of them. I had some bogus flip flops I bought last year that were again so comfortable...but they wear out fast. It's really a shame. I was on a mission to replace all of my footwear with Olukai. That plan is on hold until they improve their quality. Why does it feel like most things are made to be disposable these days? Getting sick of it. Too much money to be that way.

I bought the black/palm version based off the pictures and video. They are quite comfy although an annoyingly tight stitching band sewn where the tongue meets the upper, across the entire upper shoe to sole. The foam sole is awesome. My only complaint is that the color is nothing at all like the pictures. The black/palm pictures and video look black with grey sides and yellow interior. It's actually Green, like super duper British racing green, not grey at all. This was my third pair of shoes and since black/grey wasn't an option I decided to live with it (2 Olukai Kupa'a I returned for wrong size and second pair uncomfortable). Makes me wonder, what the other color combos actually look like without filtered/edited pictures....maybe I would've liked them more.

First pair of OluKai that I have been disappointed in. I have a few pair of their footwear and given some as gifts. They are more like over-priced Crocs and not as comfortable. On the flip side, they do look nice...(sigh) live and learn.
