Not my first pair of Olukai flip-flops, I nonetheless read many user reviews of different OluKai styles, especially to determine what size I should order. Owners of other styles were pretty universal in specifying that one should order a full size larger than one normally wears. So, me being a size 9 (but wide), I ordered a size 10 without hesitation. I was surprised that the size 10 felt very snug...too snug to really even put on. So I promptly returned these to Zappos and exchanged them for a size 11. Well, those did the trick! They fit well, perhaps also due to my wider foot, but the length is right on, too. So for me, ordering a full two sizes larger on the Nui's fit the bill. I have a pair of Ohana leather and HLA's , and the size 10 of those styles is perfect for me, but the Nui's seem to run even smaller. Other than that, they are super comfortable and felt great right out of the box. After a 1/2 to 1 full day, the whole shoe seemed to begin to conform to my feet, and the leather, already soft, felt even more supple. I've only had them about a week or so, and I'm sure they will continue to mold to my feet and become even more comfortable. Walking is very natural -- I sometimes forget I have them on...they don't slip off and you don't have to curl your toes down between steps. I also dig the stylish strap and the way it wraps around the outside of the the sandal. I got mine in tan, and it's a beautiful rich color, like a caramel or dulce de leche. The color is very true to the image on this site. I also like the way the upper is sewn to the sandal, which is a different look than the Ohana leather, for example. All in all, all OluKai flip-flops are certainly the most comfortable I have ever worn, and I'm glad I took a chance on the Nui flip-flops, since there were no reviews to go by when I bought them. I hope this one will convince you to get these, and try other OluKai styles as well!

WARNING FOR WIDE FEET -- MAY CAUSE INJURY I may have gotten a defective pair, but thought I'd share my experience in lieu of all the positive reviews. You may notice that the sides of each flop aren't flat but, instead, slope up. For a normal width foot, I would imagine this is perfect. For a wide foot, this wouldn't be problematic if, like most quality flops, the sides eventually flattened during the "break in" period where the sole becomes form fitting from the pressure. This didn't happen, at least not on the left side. The rest of the flop broke in nicely, but the outside slope of the left flop remained significantly solid. After two months of occasional wear, it appears I may have developed a stress fracture in my fifth metatarsal, which may take several months -- peak summer months -- to heal. They really are great looking flops, some of the best I've owned. If you have wide feet, definitely check them out if you're interested, but be mindful of the fit and don't assume they'll break in. If your foot immediately fit in the cradle of the sole, it may never fit.

My husband loves this brand. These are his fourth pair so we know the sizes run different with each style they make! He typically wears a 9.5 or 10. The "Nui" are a FULL 2 SIZES SMALLER THEN WHAT IS MARKED, he took a 12! Luckily Zappo has free shipping back and forth. Only complaint is I wish I didn't need to keep repurchasing, and refunding with these. It took 3 tries to get it right.

First and foremost, Beware of the sizing!! I saw the reviews said they run a bit small, but I have never worn anything other than a 13 my entire adult life, even though I’ve heard things like that before. I went with the 13. They were very small. Fit like a 12. Reordered a 14. They fit like a 12 1/2. I finally got a good fit with a 15. A full 2 SIZES larger than any other shoe I’ve ever owned. Pic shows 1 next to a size 13 Columbia. Now that I have the right fit, I like the style as I think they will work with most any color. No need to have a black pair and a brown pair anymore. Casual enough for a swimsuit at the beach, nice enough looking to put on a short sleeve button up and go to a casual dinner. Leather isn’t particularly soft, but will break in I’m sure. Not sure how well they’d handle getting wet. Overall, good for what I want them for. Thank goodness for free shipping each way. Thanks, Zappo’s!

DEFINITELY order a size bigger than what you normally wear. I wear a 12 in practically any shoe, and based on the reviews of others, I ordered a 13 and they fit.....barely. Comfort is great. They break in really quickly and the arch support is pretty nice for a sandal/flip-flop. I recommend them but you absolutely must buy a size bigger. If you like the heel to have a little more behind it, I'd even go 1.5x bigger. Personal preference.

Great brand; quality construction

I love OluKai, this is my third pair but the first time I've bought the Nui. Liking it better than the Ohana after one week. I usually wear an 11 but bought a 12 per the advice in other reviews and it fits great. Next time I'm going to try the Hiapo because of the leather post, hoping it will last longer than the fabric post on the Ohana and Nui as they always wear out in 9-12 months of almost constant use.

These sandals are great looking, but absolutely 100% run (1) Full Size to small. I purchased the Olukai Ohana in size 11, and fit perfectly. Had to return the Nui to get a size 12. It is smaller shaped sole and defintly shorter.

Love the sandal but would defiantly recommend you size up. We ordered a size 12 for my husband and he is typically a 11.5 and we had to return and get a 13 which was perfect.

My wife bought me a pair of these for Father's Day and I love them. They look great, feel comfortable, are very well made, and fit very nicely. I'm not sure why other people have said they went two sizes larger when they purchased unless they have really wide feet. I wear a size 11 in all of my shoes and that's what my wife ordered with these and they fit perfectly. I would definitely recommend these flops.

Theses seem like good quality and are breaking in nicely considering I've had them for about 24 hours. They do run small tho as other reviews have said. I am almost always exactly a 12 and size 13 fits me perfectly.

I found these to be comfortable right out of the box even with my flat, wide, caveman feet. Pretty sure these will only get better with wear. The tan color is not as red as shown in the pics, just straight brownish tan. (Could be my monitor.) The ornamentation is very subtle with OluKai's fantastic logo and some nice red stitching that I hadn't noticed in the pictures. Overall quality look and feel. If they hold up for a few years I'll be a customer for life. Based on other OluKai reviews I ordered an 11 which is a full size larger than my usual 10. (I can wear some shoes that are 9.5.)

Very comfortable, stylish and of great quality. They do run small though. My size size is 10.5 (11 for any sandals) although had to got to 12 on these shoes. Although, that fit is great!

These Olukais are GREAT... HOWEVER... they run SMALL!! I had to order 2 sizes LARGER than what I normally wear!

Love this sandal. I have it now in 3 colors. It's the expected Olukai quality with great style. The big plus is there is a ribbon style thong for the toe instead of the traditional leather making it so much easier to break in without causing blisters! However please be aware that this runs smaller-about 1/2 size. If you are looking for the arch support from the Ohana this is not the sandal for you.

Nice sandal, nice leather. Foot bed and sole are sewn to the midsole. I ordered one size up from my usual 13. It's a perfect fit. Two sizes up would seem ridiculous as my Ohana's are 13. These don't have the "squish" that my Ohana's have, but they are a much nicer sandal. The leather on these will wear well. Because of the nylon strap, they don't really need much of a break in period, but I'm sure your foot will form in these in due time.

Why do you keep sending shoes that have been returned, without tags, and in Amazon boxes? Full price should not be something used, worn, returned, or not in original packaging. In the end, I had to keep these "used ones" as I had tried so many times to get brand new Olukais that fit.

Great looking sandal but the size 14 I ordered barely fit my father's size 13 foot size. I couldn't even get them on. Returning these for a size 15 and hope that solves the issue. I run into the same issue with Puma shoes, where the size just isn't THE size. Why isn't there a worldwide sizing chart for all manufacturers to use? The 1 star ratings are just because I couldn't get the shoes on

I usually don't like flip-flops but I took a chance on these for a long trip where I'd be moving from beach to land a lot. They were supportive enough for the whole day of moderate activity (not hiking or anything like that). A little pricey though.

Comfortable, but needs some breaking in.

I had to get a size bigger to fit like size 9.

I had to return the size 9m and get a size 10 to get that 9 feeling. Never had to do that before.

This is my husbands 5th or 6th pair. Love the brand! I'm returning these a size 11 for a 12. My husband wears a size 10 but we knew going in the leather OluKai flip flops tend to run smaller then the regular styles. He wears a 10 in all his shoes except the leather OluKais.
