These shooties are beautiful! Sadly, I have to return them because some idiot wore them until they decided to return them! Who wears shoes, breaking them in, and then returns them, especially when they cost as much as these shoes do? So uncool. As for how they fit, I can't tell, because someone else has been wearing them for awhile. I am disappointed in Zappos that they sold these used shoes at full price.

My new booties arrived yesterday and I'm thrilled. Soft leather, no break-in period required, true to size. The zippers make it an easy on and off. I'm either an 8 or 8.5 in Frye depending upon the model. 8.5 is my normal shoe size and I wear an 8.5 in this boot. It has a pointed toe that's not too extreme and I like the slight snip at the end of the sole. Nice touch! If you like a more rounded toe take a look at the Carson, Melissa or Veronica. If you want a softer point check out the Billy Shootie (Billy's are also true to size).

I purchased the black Sasha motto shootie in my regular size 7. I definitely could have ordered a size 6 1/2 knowing that the leather will stretch out with wear just like my other Frye boots. I may exchange these for a half size down, but they are out of stock right now, so I will wait and see if they become available in the next few weeks, if not I'll keep these and hope they don't stretch out too much as I don't plan to wear them with socks. These are very well made with sturdy heels and soles. And the leather is exactly what you'd expect from Frye, soft and luxurious and smell amazing right out of the box. I would have to agree with some of the other reviewers as far as the pointyness of the toes. They don't look as pointy in the photos and do make your foot look a bit longer than it actually is. Overall I love the look and feel of these booties and especially love the heel height. Perfect for everyday wear with almost every outfit in my closet. Well worth the purchase price.

I was surprised how comfortable these booties are. There was no break-in period. The cushioned foot bed makes them my new go-to footwear. I love their rockabilly styling and find myself building outfits around them just so I can wear them more. These booties can be dressed up or down. They look best with skinny jeans or skirts so you can see the cool stitching detail and zippers.

I really love the style of these Shooties! However, there were several issues with them! To start, the left and right shoe are totally different in size, fit and leather! One was smooth leather, the other pebble grain. The left shoe was comfortable although it rubbed the bottom of my ankle bone. The right fit tight, but did not rub my ankle!! It was as if someone put 2 different size shoes in the box! There is NO where on or in the shoe where the size is noted, so I guess that's a possibility. The other thing I've noticed recently w/ Zappos is the pricing....after I order and need to return/exchange, the price jumps UP!!!

Size 10 in Frye is my size. However, this particular shoe is exceptionally pointy and slips off the heel of my foot. So, it just doesn't fit comfortably. Plus, it makes my size 10 feet look even longer. Have to return.

I love these pointy little gems! Edgy styling with quality typical of Frye. And bonus: oddly comfortable! Ok the pointiness took some adjusting to, but after all, that’s the whole point of the style ;-). And for some reason, even with a bunion, they are not hurting my feet at all!

There's no doubt about it, I love this shoe. I loved it as soon as I opened the box. I am a 7.5, wide forefoot, narrow heel. I love the pointed toe. It looks fantastic with full boot cut jeans and slight boot cut jeans. Love the zippers on both sides. Heel height great. I can even wear it with skinny jeans. Love it. Well worth the money. The black will go with anything. I also ordered the Sacha Moto Shootie in the Red Clay and love, love. love it. These shoes definitely make a statement. Well worth the money. I can wear thin socks or no socks. These boots are a real show off whether they're peaking out from under boot cut jeans, sitting, crossing your legs and showing these boots full on. I am really going to enjoy these boots. I'm in love.

These shooties are gorgeous! I am a pretty typical narrow size 7. With the pointy toes I thought they may be tight - but no, they were actually quite loose. So I put some heel stops inside the heal and now they are great.

Wanted to love these handsome booties! They are the expected excellent Frye quality - beautiful leather, well made, stylish. The fit was very uncomfortable. I have high arches, and the ball of my foot, on the outside of both feet, hit the instep just wrong. Have to return. I ordered a size 5.5 (normally get a 5), a larger size would have been too long, smaller size not available. I own other Frye boots, I know they are initially stiff and soften up with time & wear. These just hurt. :(

Love these boots! They are an excellent everyday boot that works for 90% of the attire/occasions that I encounter in my daily life. From a picnic in a park, to a day at the office, to an evening out for a concert/dinner these boots are very versatile, with a classic design that won't go out of fashion. These shoes are also super comfortable! I have never loved heels-- most of them are are a misery to walk in for more than an hour or two. In fact, I gave up wearing heels of any type years ago (around the time I started having to carry 30-pound toddlers around!!). I was very, very pleased to find that these boots are so comfortable-- I have worn them while running errands for several hours and my feet were happy! They didn't cause the pain and muscle fatigue I have come to expect from wearing heels. They are perfectly snug-- the shoes slide on without a struggle, they hold my foot securely without any slipping and sliding around, but they aren't so tight to cause pinching/muscle strain/sweatiness. They are equally comfortable with sock liners or worn barefoot. All of the seams are smooth-- no abrasive ridges or thick threads to irritate my skin. I couldn't be happier with these boots; highly recommended.

Arrived before I could blink, carefully wrapped and boxed but without a receipt. Comfortable right out of the box, but with a little heel slippage which will worsen as they are worn and relaxed, so will need a filler. Usual problem with Frye. The shootie is beautiful, well made, and will improve with age. They are pricey and worth it. The heel height is perfectly western, the toe box is snug and needs wearing in. I bought the charcoal cut vintage which resembles a stiff fabric, looking very uptown. In six months of hard wear they will not look broken in, kicked around nor like they belong in the barn. Frye sells other shooties if you want that. These are quite lovely and look like I stole them off a full on lady. I will need a more laid back boot for the barn. If any of that meets your needs, do buy them. They look good, fit well and are purely Frye.

Amazing shootie. Extremely well crafted. Materials used and design are superb, bar none. I bought this bc I wanted a well-crafted, cognac leather bootie that hit below the ankle and could be worn with a variety of outfits: jeans, skirts, bell bottoms. This shootie does exactly that. It's sexy, smart, and totally badass. Of course, practically all Frye products are. If you're hesitating, well, this bootie is not for the faint of heart. Buy it and wear with confidence or not at all. There's a million other brands that will sell you the same idea for a fraction of the cost. But this one... Frye is the best of the best when it comes to quality, construction and living life a little bit on the edge.

Love this boot. My 5th pair of Frye boots and did not disappoint. Comfortable and stylish. My toe box runs wide and my heel narrow but the tapered toe did not crowd my toes at all.

I was skeptical on spending so much on a pair of shoes but I can honestly say that was the best $278 ive spent, ever! they are so comfortable! i wouldnt mind sleeping in them honestly but that would be weird. im just trying to convince myself to not buy another color! .. your welcome!

I have another pair of Frye boots which I purchased in a 7 1/2. The leather stretched quite a bit on those, but on the full-size boot I don't mind the heel slippage and overall looser fit. The Shooties I purchased in a 7 and a 7 1/2 to try out the style. Both had heel slippage, but the 7 fit a bit more snug. I kept the 7 because from past experience after the overall stretch I think the 7 will fit me better for the style. I already received lots of compliments on my first wearing to work and I know these get a lot of use. Fryes are well made timeless boots.

I love these, very comfortable and stylish. Already got many compliments on them. Bonus for winter, they have decent traction and I can tell the leather will only look better with wear and tear.

Amazing shooties! Not only did they fit perfectly but the style is totally badass & sexy with skinnies, bootcut jeans, and work slacks. Very comfortable as well.

I wear a 9.5B and these are true to size and width. If you're on the fence, place your order. You will not be disappointed. In the days of disposable everything, these shoes are worth the price. And Zappos service cannot be beat.

The quality of these shooties is unparalleled! For me, they were a bit more shoe than bootie than I am looking for so these are going back. Too bad because they are beautiful!!

These are beautiful shoes. They are flattering. In terms of style, they are easy to wear and work with nearly anything. As others said, the heel fit was a bit loose for me. I put a sticky heel - filler butterfly thingy into backs of the heels, (which I found easily at a Burlington store for very cheap) and voilà, they feel fine, work fine, no slipping. The shoes are breaking in slowly. I am not wearing these for eight hour on-my-feet days until they are fully broken in as they are stiff (but softening over time). My feet would be sore and sorry if I did that but I am wearing these often, for longer and longer periods and enjoying them. The gray color is beautiful it has a chameleon character which works with all my stuff - blue jeans, grays, black, browns, and nice with olive too. I love shoes which will clearly appeal (to me) over a long time, and last as long. And look cool. These are keepers!

I ordered these in both the 8-1/2 and 9, really wanting to LOVE them. I ordered suede, assuming they might be less stiff than most Fryes I try. I sometimes have problems with Fryes, in terms of sizing and comfort. Same with these. The 8/12 fit my narrow heel great but the pointed toe box was too narrow whereas the 9 was too wide in the heel. Not sure why I keep trying Fryes with pointed toes!

These are gorgeous, but they're going back - they make my feet look so large! I'm only 5'3", shoe size 7, so it's not a good look. Too bad. I also think they're a bit pricey.

Such a well made a pair of boots. They are beautiful and classic. And 8 years later, I am still wearing them. I had them resold once, and they still they are in excellent shape!!
