I have worn the Teva Tirra sandal for a couple summers now, and they are the most comfortable sandals I own. Instead of getting another pair (The Tirra's are still going strong!), I thought I would try the Verra out for a slightly different look. They have the same footbed, and are just as comfortable. However, the strapping system is made such that it works better for a narrower foot than one that borders on wide. I have a medium-width foot so the strapping over the toes is perfect, but because of the high arch in my foot, I need a long strap for around my ankle. The Velcro does meet across the ankle on the Verra, but it doesn't overlap nearly as much as it does on the Tirra, so they don't feel quite as securely fastened. Also a lot of Velcro was left exposed (& therefore not used) so that things could catch on it. I fixed this by removing the Velcro from the strap and sewing it back down over an inch. Now they are perfect, but I know most people wouldn't have the means to do this. (I sew a lot.) If you are in doubt about the width being wide enough, I would try the Tirra instead. One other thing to consider is that depending on the width of your foot, the "Teva" logo on the ankle strap can land in an odd location. For me, it lands dead center on my foot so it looks fine. The Tirra doesn't have the logo on the ankle strap, which works much better. I should note that I have a bunion on one foot, and was most pleased that the straps go totally around it, so it's very, very comfortable. I periodically deal with a mild case of plantar fasciitis, and the footbed of these sandals has enough arch support to keep that at bay.

I literally live in Teva original or hurricane style sandles year round as I live in Florida. I saw my cousin in this style, which I think is much more stylish and attractive so I literally ordered them on the spot. Can't say enough about the efficiency of delivery and I was wearing these the next day. They are cute, but definately no match for the original or hurricane models for comfort, support. But they are still better than most other brand shoes I have worn.

I put these on right out of the box and have been wearing them for this the third day. I can hardly believe it. I have a narrow foot and have a hard time getting shoes to fit but with the adjustable straps these work very well. Only thing I would change is a wider strap across the toes to hide my long ugly toes.

I should have returned for a smaller size, but was heading out of town. Otherwise, I like it - a lot!

These shoes were purchased for a cross country trip. Used for car travel, hicking, fishing, water rafting. Great for the trip! The initial wear was uncomfortable, causing some discomfort, but the more they we worn the better they supported the feet arches and lower back. Nice alternative to a flip flop for an active summer.

It is my new everyday shoes from a quick run to the grocery store to a walk in the wild. I went for a 2.5 miles. It was comfortable, however I got a blister on the back of my heel. Overall, it is a comfortable shoes.

The foot bed is very comfy and cushy, there's no need to break them in. The placement of the toe straps is a little odd but not enough for me to return them. The sizing is way off - I wear a size 8 in shoes, a 7.5 or 8 in sandals and I had to get a 7 in these.

When I first put the shoes on I loved them! They are cute, lightweight and very comfortable with good arch support. After I wore them for the first time for a long walk, however, the straps around my toes chaffed quite a bit and when I took the shoes off, I noticed red indentations in my skin. Perhaps I need to loosen the Velcro around my toes or stretch the straps through wear. I do have wide feet, so that could be the issue, too. Otherwise, they were comfortable and have good arch support. I will try to loosen the straps around my toes and hope that helps the chafing and redness.

This sandal is so comfortable as the foot rests on the footbed. The strap on the ankle rubs a little and seems to be slightly anatomically incorrect, though the strap can be adjusted which helps. The fit on the ankle may also be just my feet.

They're lightweight and comfortable, and have a good amount of arch support, but I was hoping for more arch support. I'll probably go back to the sturdier Teva sandals once these wear out.

I fell in love with this shoe the minute I opened the box, great color for me and flattering once I put them on. However, they're going back. I tried them daily for two weeks and here's what didn't work: -little toe was painful (you can manually widen the strap, which helped) -soles of Tevas are just too hard for my comfort - the back strap was at an angle that bothered me I'm going back to Merrells. Note about scratchy straps: I have fixed these before by dipping them in a 50-50 mix of water and fabric softener.

These are great sandals. They have a slimmer profile than many sports sandals, so I don't feel like I have tires strapped to my feet. Nice support and cushion for long walks. The straps are easy to adjust. I felt a couple places on the top and sides where the straps were rubbing a little (no rubbing on the back of the heel, which is great), but that seemed to go away on subsequent wearings, and I never got a blister from them. I normally wear 8.5-9, and I'm happy with the 9 for these.

I wear these day-to-day; my pedometer suggests that I walk an average of 3-5 miles in them each day. They're comfy and supportive enough for this purpose. They chafed at first, but now that they've broken in it's not a problem. My main complaint is that the strap behind the heel. I wish it were adjustable. Also, it sits oddly low on my heel compared to other Teva shoes I've worn.

These seemed to be perfect walking sandals, and the most like my beloved (and old) former Teva's, but I am returning this pair because of the footbed. I didn't realize what a difference it made to have a micro-fiber/leather-like finish to help cool the foot. These made my feet perspire within minutes of having them on in the house. These are probably better used as water sandals than walking sandals. Also, I got a size 5.5 instead of 6 because the size 6 seemed too long.

I walk a lot and have slightly wide, blister-prone feet. I tried on many pairs of sandals, and these fit the best without looking too bulky. The foot bed provides good cushion and arch support, and I don't get any blisters with them. My only complaint is that they're not the most durable. The front of mine started looking beat up after a few months; however, the rest of the sandal is still in good condition. I usually wear a 9.5 in these, and found that a 9.5 did fit me the best. Overall, very comfortable sandal and doesn't look as ugly as many other outdoor-style sandals.

The ankle strap hits too high on my foot. With any swelling, it would become too tight. I liked that these were more dainty than most of this type sandal.

These shoes are so comfortable. It's like you are walking on pillows all day! They have amazing shock absorption and arch support. I have high arches and these shoes fit them perfectly. Love love love. My only con is that they are not very cute. I feel a little like I'm in the 90s when I wear them.

I hiked up a 5 mile trail and down a rocky 8 mile trail in these sandals at Mt. Leconte. Friends thought I was crazy for not wearing hiking boots. Well at the end of the trip I was the only one without blisters! The inner straps are crossed in such a way that it did not rub my bunion. I forgot to adjust the ankle strap coming down for a while and finally noticed it and tightened them as my foot was sliding some. I have never hiked and not gotten a blister! Not exactly the best shoes for the river though- fast water flow tends to pull them with the current. A closed water shoe is more suited for faster water situations. Other water situations were fine though. Love that the straps come to the sides of the shoe and not imbedded in the foot bed which tends to make the foot bed narrower. Good shoe.

Loved the shoe, hated the footbed. I have a skinny foot and am very sensitive to the padding underneath. This footbed felt like standing on sandpaper. I was so disappointed, I though I had found the one.

The footbed/sole is very comfortable and the shoe itself is cute. I am a size 8 in pretty much every shoe, but this shoe runs a half size big. So, an 8 is too big and a 7 is too small. Very sad.

I have not had a chance to try out my new pair, as I am taking them on vacation to Thailand next month. So I won't have a comment for you until after my trip. I did own a pair years ago in 2000, that I took with me to Israel and they were awesome!! I wore them for years until they finally tore. This pair feels comfy but they don't seem as strong as my previous pair, which I could not find on the website. I did purchase an original from the site, that I have just sent back for return as they were a half size to big and I disliked the color combo and there was not much arch support.
