I had the Guide 7s and these are on their way back, because they are a half size larger. Bummed... need to wait for the 10s to be in stock before I can re-order. I absolutely >LOVE< the Guide 7s and feel that the 8s will not disappoint.

Great transaction. Very knowledgeable young lady who helped me. Shoes are great for an old longjumper. Will look forward to buying my next pair. Super fast delivery.

I've been running in Guides for about 4 years now and the 8 is better than the 7 in my opinion. The tongue seems to resist shifting to the side over a long run better than the 7 for my feet. They did not make the toe box narrower, which is always a concern for me since my feet are on the wide side but not "wide." I do notice more room in the heel area. My first run I felt like my heel was moving but on my second run I tightened the laces up more and didn't notice it. As always, cushioning is great in these shoes. I like the black and slime green color style...won't show dirt and looks good.

Exactly what I was looking for. Have heel spur, require a shoe that would lift the heel up. This shoe does it.

My wife and I have been buying Saucony shoes for years now. Oddly in my latest search for new walking/running shoes, I couldn't find anything that looked good and felt great. After trying perhaps a dozen shoes, I ended up right where I started from. I loved the old Saucony Triumphs and these Guides are just as nice. Way comfortable and the design isn't outlandish as many of the sneakers out there are. They also have the Saucony quality we're accustomed to. These are definitely nice sneaks.

My husband loves these shoes. His feet were really hurting from being on them so much. He had tried several different brands throughout the last few years, but was having trouble getting the right fit. They all seemed too tight across the bridge/top-middle of his foot (top of the arch). These fit him perfectly. He says that they are very supportive, yet cushiony at the same time. His foot pain resolved within days of solely wearing these shoes all day. He wears them all day every day, so they need to be replaced every 4 or 5 months. Ordering a 3rd pair today.

I have been running exclusively in Brooks shoes for a few years now and have liked the Brooks Ravenna line but tried these as a replacement for Ravenna 5's at a local running store. I was hesitant to buy a pair but they felt lighter on a test run. I was very pleased with the shoes and they have been my favorite shoe the past 2 months. They provide just enough support and a light ride.

This is my 3rd pair in the Guide line from Saucony. I've always loved the comfort and styling of this sneaker. I've started with the Guide 6 which was a great quality crafted sneaker and very comfortable for running and every day wearing. However as the guide line progressed the quality of the sneaker has declined, there is less and less reflective panels on these sneakers, the Guide 6 had reflective inserts on the front as well as the back and side, the Guide 7 has a tiny reflective insert in the front laces and a small spot on the back, however the Guide 8 only has a reflective insert on the rear. Also the design of the sneaker is poor and cheap, a once nicely embossed Saucony logo has been replaced with a logo which is part of the coloring of the side panel. Also, after wearing the Guide 8 for a month the stripes on the rear of my sneakers are wearing off. It appears they were painted on and are now pealing off, however it's only a small stripe and it doesn't bother the integrity of the sneaker it only affects the look. It's seems as the price of these sneakers increases the quality decreases.

For running: I really like this shoe. If works really well for me. I have strong pronation on one foot, and medium pronation on the other. This is a good balance of 'stability.' For durability: these are so-so. I'm a big guy, who runs a lot...so I go through these shoes in about 200 - 250 miles.

Very nice shoes, but run narrow. I ordered 7 EE wide and they were very tight in toe and sides. Returned them for 7.5 EE and they fit better but still a bit narrow. Other than that they are sharp looking and comfortable.

I ordered these in a size 14EE (wide and they are too narrow. Not true to width Unfortunately, we will have to return or exchange them. My son liked they style/design of them, but fit is what counts. As our son cannot wear these, some of the questions are difficult to answer expecially about the arch support.

This shoe does not fit comfortably. I have never felt a shoe fit quite this badly before that is very snug past the arch to just before your toes. It is much too restrictive. I have narrow feet, but with this width the shoes clamp on to your feet. Good luck getting your feet moving in these. I love Saucony shoes & have only bought Saucony for over the past 20 years, but these shoes are not a standard fitting shoe and not for me nor recommended by me for anyone else unless I'm racing you. Then please wear these shoes so I'll have an even better chance of beating you too.

Love the styling, but the toebox on this version is horrible. I tried the 'wide' version (the 2E is just like a medium width, not wide at all). I emailed saucony about their lack of a 4E width, and they said 4E widths are not a big enough market for them anymore (in their most popular shoe?). I don't understand why shoe companies feel the need to squeeze everyone's toes, the toebox is the last spot you need to be snug.
I'd also recommend:
if you have a wide foot, steer clear of saucony. they don't care about you.

I went from the Guide 7 to Guide 8 in the same size. I could not wear these for more then 20 minutes as the heels are different and created large blisters while walking not even running to break them in. It is a design issue as the cushioning for the heel piece goes too low in comparison to the Guide 7 or 6.
