My husband loves these shoes. Ordered a size too small, but had the exchange delivered within 2 days!

I use these for trail running and hiking. I have owned various versions of inov-8 Roclites for several years and they are definitely my shoe of choice for off-road. The 280s have a generous toe box, which works great for me since I have a big gap between my big toe and the next. The shoes have GREAT traction on practically all surfaces, including mud and wet rocks. There are also very lightweight and even though I feel like I am running in slippers they still give excellent protection underneath, even on sharp rocks. They are a minimalist shoe with lots of flexibility that lets your foot conform to the trail. They don't have lots of support and may take some getting used if you have been using a more heavily padded shoe, Despite their lightweight I have found Inov-8s to be surprisingly durable. I am 6 ft, 190 lbs and where a US 14.
I'd also recommend:
The Roclite 295s are vey similar, with a little less toe-heel differential.

They are nice and light and have a wide footbed so they are comfortable to wear and run in. They do not have a particularly thick footbed so you do feel rocks and obstaclkes more than in other simil;ar shoes.

The inov-8 Roclite 280 are a good looking pair of running shoes. It didn't fit me. it appeared to be a size too short for my left foot, I guess it was wrong, but it was a 9.5 Men's the right side fit just right but the left felt like a 9men instead of 9.5mens. instead of returning them back it fitted son so I gave it to him he likes them as well as I like these shoe. I order a pair of race ultra 290 from amazon 9.5 and a 10 all men's sides and they fit super. These shoe keeps me very comfortable while running. So I really believe as for me I found the running shoes that keep me running. Thank you Inov-8. Really.

Ordered size 10 and size 9 was shipped. Had these shoes before and they are very good. Would have been nice if right size was shipped to begin with.

This is the third pair I've bought. I love the meta flex system. I use these for disc golf and they last as long as any other (Merrell, Salomon, Columbia, Vasque). You won't find a shoe with more traction than these. The big plus is how light and comfortable they are. I measure up to an E width, but regular D width fits nicely. Outsole stays glued through the abuse. Lugs last, but the micro traction does rub off eventually.

Good looking and very comfortable, light , fit well, can be worn for casual dress. I use them for softball. A little pricey but a good shoe in my opinion.

Excellent work out shoes. Other comments for this shoe are spot on. Very light, the soles grip very well and are very well cushioned. I've been buying Nike for so many years, that I'm glad I tried something different. So far, I am not disappointed. Bye, bye Nike.

Great shoes, but you really do need to get a full size larger than you normally get. I wouldn't be compelled to write a review if I didn't have to exchange the shoes for a larger size twice.

I got this shoe to use as a lighweight hiking/backpacking shoe. I'd seen 1 or 2 reviews on this shoe prior and most said order a .5 size up. I did so and am happy I did. Normally a 11.5, ordered a 12.
Got them in the mail and couldnt believe how light the box is. The shoes are so comfortable and lightweight I couldnt be happier. Extra room in the toe box is great and no time really needed to break them in. The mesh upper allows your feet to easily get wet but it does dry fast. I decided to purchase these shoes over comparable Salomon trail runners. I will definitely buy more from Inov8.

The toe area was a bit narrow, and my big toe rubs against the side some of the time. Otherwise a good fit and nice quality shoes.

The toe box on these is a little strange. The inside cuts in at a weird angle and hits my big toe in a funny place. I'll have to send these back unfortunately. Otherwise they seem like a good fit - the upper doesn't crinkle, and they're not too heavy.

The shoe was much smaller than other shoes of this brand. I do love inov8, but not this shoe. It was also unusually rigid in form compared to other running shoes as well as other inov8 shoes I have purchased. It is quite hard - similar to a volleyball shoe.
I'd also recommend:
inov8 will always be my default. i love their products. it was just this shoe that i didn't like.
