Like many others, I'm not at all in love with the new cotton/poly fabric blend. It feels thin & cheap, pills from washing, and isn't as comfortable. The fit isn't as flattering either; it looks more loose & oversized. This original 95% cotton tees were my favorite for years, especially for casual wear. I have 15 of the old short-sleeve ones and 6 of the long-sleeve ones in different colors and various stages of decay. It's a bummer that UA walked away from such a great, basic, classic tee. I won't be replacing my collection with these.

I like UA charged cotton t-shirt. I own many of them but this is the first one that doesn't wick away sweat. The tshirt gets wet from the sweat and it shows on the fabric. ewww.

The old-school charged cotton t-shirts were the best workout t-shirts ever made. Just ridiculously comfortable and felt great even when sweaty. I needed some new ones and bought these, thinking that they were the same. Unfortunately they are not. The material has been completely changed and they are nowhere near as comfortable as the old style. Under Armour has ruined what was once the best t-shirt on the market. Please bring back the old ones!

I have the original UA Charged Cotton t-shirt and it is by far my best fitting, most comfortable shirt. The new style is not the same feel or fit. Does not stretch and is not distinguishable from any other brand. Very disappointed.

You state loose but they run a little tight in the chest and arms. These would be slim fit in other brands. Now I know to size up one. But that doesn't help me with the two I bought. I not a huge weight lifter. I look like I'm wearing a smedium. I have only washed a few times so the I have not received the pilling that some have stated.

This shirt is almost awesome. Love the fit and soft fabric but OH THE PILLING. These are my favorite workout shirts but the pilling is unreal. So much....I feel like I'm going to wear through the shirt soon. I wish I could attach pictures here.

I am religious consumer of your charged cotton shirts, and have enjoyed most of the revisions as of late. The material is softer, but the fit is now even tighter than before, especially after the first wash! I have an athletic build, which it seems is a huge part of your market, but your jump from large to X-large, especially in the waste area, assumes a wide shouldered man also has a huge beer gut. Those same athletic men also usually have thicker than average necks, but your neck bands seem to get tighter and tighter. You recently had a charged cotton shirt that looked these, except for some reason it was sold separate. The shirt only came in black and had a blue UA emblem on the chest and the back of the neck. The large size cut of that shirt is almost exactly the change a lot of people would like to see. I regret not buying 10 of them! I propose you make a new size called athlete or whatever, and have it be x large in the shoulders, and a large in the waist. Please let me know so I can be the first to try them out! I just bought 5 new charged cotton shirts thinking that UA was switching to the sizing of the black shirt with blue emblems, and unfortunately I was wrong. The large loose charged cotton shirt is now TIGHTER than before, and the X-large looks like a garbage bag unless you have a 38 inch gut. Come on UA, where is the size geared towards the shape of athletes you spend so many marketing dollars going after!?

I'm of the same opinion - bring back the 95% cotton fabric. These were awesome t-shirts, soft and warm to the touch, and virtually indestructible. Already have several UA polyester shirts, bought for one reason or another, never wear them and they sit in the drawer. Find them with all the appealing texture of cardboard.

First of all, UA needs to add product specification details....i.e.....percentages of materials within the specific piece of apparel. Cotton, polyester, elastane.....what percentage of each material is in the current Charged Cotton T-Shirt? Original Charged Cotton T-Shirts were 95% cotton and 5% elastane and really did not need to be tampered with as they were the best shirt for training amongst all UA offerings. Fit was better in the original CC although they could should have had a longer torso length. At 6'2" I am by no means extremely tall and I am not short either....it would be nice for one apparel company to produce a training top that does not display an individual's waistline while stretching or training. I suppose I could move to a 4XL for additional torso length but I am not looking to model a 55 gal can liner with an oversized collar that a regulation sized basketball could fit through without stretching. The current CC T-Shirt does not breath or stretch any better than the original and has a sleeve length comparable to most female shirts that I notice at the gym(short). It is better than solid cotton T's I suppose but the original should be brought back into the lineup.

We purchased many of these shirts a couple years ago as they are my favorite when working out. However it appears as though the style changed - the black color is not a true black anymore and looks more like a dark heather grey, additionally the material is different. Disappointed in the changes and we are now searching for a replacement. Won't be purchasing these anymore. If they bring back the old shirt we will definitely be back to buy more!

I am 5'6" so not a tall guy. Smalls in just about everything are perfect for me. This shirt is comfortable and fabric is fantastic. It fits well in the arms and chest, but the length is crazy long. The shirt ends half way between waist and knees making it look like I wear a dress when I'm working out. I won't be buying one of these shirts again unless a different cut comes out. I may try a boys L or XL to see if that fits any better. I would have returned it but I was hoping it would have shrank some in the laundry.

The fabric has changed on these .... More synthetic materials than last year. Shirts don't breathe as well. Big disappointment after experiencing the quality of prior years

The new shirts are just barely ok. And if you had nothing to compare them to you would like them just fine. But when you compare them to the old fabric, it's not even close. The old style was/is the most comfortable, best fitting t-shirt ever. AND...the performance was incredible! They wicked well and were super comfortable. Most surprisingly, the new shirts actually seem to wick worse (despite having much higher poly/synthetic content). I came home from a rough workout the other night and my shirt was 2/3 SOAKED through. Now, that is not that surprising. What WAS surprising was that i draped it over the tub to dry and by the next morning i could still see a distinct sweat line...The shirt was STILL WET. I have to tell you i was shocked. As far as I know I never have that problem with the old fabric. Luckily for me I bought about 15 of the old kind. I am actually now looking for the other shirts to use for work, etc. to make the ones I have last longer. (I used to wear the old kind for everything). One other thing: you should know that UA clothing can be smelly sometimes. The old charged cotton? NEVER! It's almost ridiculous... you could wear it for two to three days if it's not hot out and it won't smell...crazy? (in a good way). PLEASE UA... CONSIDER BRINGING THE OLD FABRIC/STYLE BACK!!!

I love natural fibers, but they dramatically under perform UA's new materials. That is why I LOVED the old charged cotton. It felt like cotton and kept you warm but would wick moisture and dry faster than pure cotton. I was nervous about ordering the new shirt and wondered how it would feel. The new shirt has more of a sheen versus the loft and softer feel of cotton, but it is OK. The real difference for me are the thermal properties. The new shirt seems to wick and dry faster, but it does not keep me warm and I miss that. I will continue to wear my old shirts as long as I can and will always wish Under Armour will reward some of their loyal fans by bringing back the original material and offering a vintage charged cotton shirt once again.

This was always my favorite shirt. I have bought over 20 of them. However, I will no longer be buying these. They don't fit the same and they don't have the same feel. Why mess with your best shirt? This is like when CocaCola decided to change their recipe. I'm so disappointed.

Please bring back the original Charged Cotton tee shirts. They were much softer, less scratchy and overall more comfortable than this new generation, which has less cotton in the mix. I have 6 originals and two new ones, the new ones never make it to the top of the tee shirt drawer.

The fabric change is not as comfortable, and makes the shirt not stand out from the competition. I love the old charged cotton shirts (Style 1217194), but it looks like they are discontinued in my size (XL). The cotton was a little heavier, but felt softer and like 100% cotton. The new shirts feel more like polyester shirt, are thinner, and not as comfortable. Please consider bringing back the 95% Cotton 5% Elastane fabric. My last set of the classic charged cotton shirts have lasted 2-3 years.

What the heck UA? You changed the makeup of your best shirt. The old charged cotton was perfect, nice and lite with an excellent fit. it was like a well worn t shirt. This new version is much thicker, and the fit is off. I don't like it at all.

Unfortunately, this new product is not equal to the old charged cotton tees. The new style is simply not as comfortable, the fit is different, in a bad way, sleeves are too long, less color choices, and it does not have that cotton like feel that we all love. I'm not sure why UA changed the charged cotton "recipe" as they have plenty of Tech style performance tees that fill that need. The old charged cotton tee remains unmatached in cotton comfort and performance. I hope UA brings back back a great tee!

I'm with these other reviewers - it's not a bad shirt but nothing like the old version. Those were by far my favorite tee for the gym, or just hanging out - I must have 20 of them. Fit, comfort, function were all significantly better with the original 'charged cotton' tees. Bring the old ones back UA! :)

I have about 10 of the old charged cotton shirts and they were the best t-shirt I have owned. I don't understand why companies have to change such a popular item. The only reason I can think of is to save money. I think sales on the new model will be way down. Not planning to buy any more.

The original charged cottons were great - lightweight and felt like a real cotton shirt. I have 5 short sleeve and 4 long sleeve. They have cheapened it. Bad move.....won't be buying these anymore

shouldn't have changed from the last model of this shirt. Material feels cheap and isn't as comfortable as the previous version. I always bought the charged cotton t shirts because I liked COTTON. If I wanted a polyester shirt I would have bought one of the other models. I wore my older shirts all day without knowing they were there. The new model gets scratchy and is too thin. Disappointed. Under Armour usually nails it with their upgrades. Failed on this one.

I bit the bullet and finally ordered some of the new version Charged Cotton to try out, even though the reviews have clearly stated that the shirts have changed. I figured I would give them a shot anyway. Well...it was a total disappointment! I might have well as ordered Under Armour's standard T-shirt. In no way do these shirt resemble cotton material. I have a closet full of charged cotton shirts that have begun to fade and get holes in them because I wear them so much and have had them so long, with no way to replace them because Under Armour made the decision to change the material composition. I know this review will do little other than maybe illicit the usual, we'll pass this along, but Under Armour seriously needs to consider doing the consumer friendly thing and going back to the old shirt material composition, as many others have requested. I will be returning these shirts ASAP. As a matter of fact, they are on their way back as I type this review.
