These are pretty comfortable; I am returning because they don't have enough cushioning under the ball of my foot.

OK, so I've written a few reviews here for Lowa boots, of which I have three pair for deploying...I just got a pair of the Chaco Outcross Evo 2's and they are sweet! I wanted a non-goretex shoe to wear while flying in Afghanistan (Contractor) and for the heat of Summer in Kabul...these are PERFECT!! I also know if I ever have to "walk" back to base, these will survive the trip just fine. Liked them so much...had the wife order two more pair for me while I'm deployed. This way if they're discontinued, I have two spare pair to last me quite some time!! Can't wait to wear them in the summer back in the USA!! You gotta' get ya' some of these.

Just bought a pair for a trip to Maui. Wanted an amphibious shoe that was light and well ventilated. This seems to be just the ticket. Feel great on my feet and have good support and toe protection. Take a 10 in most shoes, but a 10.5 was perfect. Got the green as it goes with most earth-toned clothing.

Great shoes; I wear them for everything. I take them into the water once in a while, and sand does get in, but that's to be expected. The tip of the sole at the toes came unglued, and have had to super glue it back a couple times (shoe glue didn't work in that spot). Laces are way too long.

MY HUSBAND REALLY LIKES THESE SHOES...THEY ARE COMFORTABLE, NICE LOOKING SHOES! EVERYTHING CHACO MAKES IS COMFORTABLE.

Good light shoe. Breathes well. I'm 56 years old and can use them to jog short distance. Wouldn't use for longer runs.

This is my first pair of Chacos. It's a very comfortable shoe, with a wide toebox which suits me fine, I have wide feet. If you have narrow feet it might be too wide. Nice footbed with moderate arch support, I have them on right now, straight out of the box they feel great, no need to break in. They are "barefoot inspired" which I missed in the description. What that means (to me anyway) is that the heel is lower than a normal active shoe. But not weirdly so. Very light in weight. Overall, I like it.

I own about ten pair of Chacos. These are by far the most comfortable. I was on my feet for almost 16 hours the first day I wore them (without socks), and had no discomfort whatsoever. Really stylish as well. Definitely recommend.

This is an update to my earlier review, which I couldn't seem to edit. I've worn these shoes in and out of the water. I felt very confident in my footing when wading and scrambling through river rocks and muddy banks. The the neoprene sock-like liner keeps out most grit and pebbles, but not all. I took off a point in my earlier review because of the thin sole, but the low mass of these shoes improves my ability to swim while wearing them, and the thin soles help me feel for footholds when climbing wet rocks and steep muddy banks. I think they sacrificed durability to make these shoes light and to keep their costs down. No problems yet, but it feels like only a matter of time until they start coming apart. But they're still the best closed water shoes I've found, and I'll probably buy a spare pair before leaving on an adventure vacation.

I have tried many water shoes and this is the first pair I found that feel like a perfect fit. They have a wide toebox and a medium heel width. The shoes have a partial neoprene sock that should help keep debris out and prevent chafing. If I am able to update this after I wear them a little while I will. I took a point off because there is zero arch support and the sole feels thin.

Loved my Salomon Techamphibians (first generation). Been looking for a replacement for a year without success. The newer generation Salomon's are too narrow at the toe box and have design flaws others have pointed out. Tried other brands and they were all more narrow than their purported "medium" sizing. These Chacos were wonderful right out of the box. The width is a true medium and the size was accurate. They were immediately comfortable. I like the easy on/off construction (something I also liked on my original Salomon's). The insole is pretty thin and is not removable, hence the overall 4 star rating. But, if I get a year or two out of these at this reasonable price I'll be happy. Very comfy!

Great shoe for kicking it offroad. Not much form in the sole, hoping it keeps forming to my foot. Lightweight. Obnoxious shoelaces.

Not sure if I will keep the shoes, just wore them around the house a bit. Support limited and very little cushioning, especially for the heel.

The back of the shoe binds against my heal. I have been wearing Chacos for fifteen years and this is the first bad shoe design I've come across. Bummer. Go back to the tongue design.

These will make your feet stink! They are comfortable and fit as expected. I wear size 14 US and was happy when I first tried these on. However, I cannot get over the overpowering stench they create. They will be going in the trash since the stench they produce not only sticks to your feet but in the shoes as well. Out of all the shoes I own and have own in the past I do not recall any of them combining with my foot juice to create such an overwhelming smell. Great fit and feel, horrible smell!
