I would give this 4.5 stars if I could. These shoes are really great! This was my first introduction to the sinch style lacing and I really liked it. I liked these shoes so much I got the non-GTX model for the desert and dry summer hiking. I will review them as well. These shoes did everything I'd ever want them to as far as performance. They have great grip and an ideal tread pattern. I used them for long hikes, short hikes, big peaks in all kinds of weather and seasons. They performed excellently. They are incredibly comfortable right out if the box, too. As are the non-GTX model. The insole is minimal but comfortable. Never had any issues with it. Roomy toe-box and an excellent heel cup. My only gripe is the GTX model seems to not breathe very well. I say this because these shoes got incredibly stinky! I have never had a pair of hiking shoes get so nasty. I have had to clean them twice to help alleviate the stench. I hope Salomon addresses this issue as I have seen others complain about the same thing. Water does not get in, but they don't seem to let moisture out and I believe that is where the issue is. Overall, love the shoe. They are very durable. I have put about 250 miles on them this year and the sole is intact, the laces, the body, nothing to even mention about falling apart in anyway. I will most likely purchase the next version of this shoe.

ik heb twee andere schoenen met deze maar en die zitten prima. dus blind deze gekocht en niet gepast.....stom maar je zou toch verwachten dat ...de zelfde maat de zelfde pasvorm.

A lot of money for getting, after seven months began to fall apart!

I love Solomon's but do not like these shoes. Not sure what it is but they click as I walk and they have not gotten any better.
