I have had my OBOZ Bridger boots for about 6 months and they get pretty steady use 3 days a week. They required no break-in period, offer great support and grip on the trails, and are pretty much perfect except . . . the laces are too short. I have to lace over high arches and that leaves insufficient lace length with which to tie if I want to do a barrel knot to keep them tied. I have other boots and that has never been an issue. I am currently shopping for replacements because stopping to retie laces in the winter is a distinct inconvenience - take off mittens, undo gaiters, retie, close gaiters, put on mittens, repeat x1 or 2 each hike As a customer I feel that OBOZ cut corners by putting a 55 inch lace on these boots. I have a friend who uses the men's OBOZ Bridger and she does not have this issue. (I do not know the length of her laces.)

Sprained my ankle wearing these boots. THEY ARE SUPER SLICK. The urgent care bill was $901.04. DO NOT BUY THESE BOOTS!! Oboz will never let the public know the truth about these boots or reimburse me for the Urgent Care visit.

First off I want to say I wear a size 7 in sandals wedges open toe shoes of any kind. In these hikers I had to buy an 8 1/2 I tried on 7,7 1/2, 8, 8 1/2 and the 8 1/2 was the only one my toes didnt hit the end in. The are very comfortable and I love they are waterproof. Enjoy if you buy them.

I wish they worked but they were too small and narrow. I wear 8.5 in the Bridger insulated and the Sawtooth styles which makes me wonder if the boots were mislabeled? Unfortunately I had to send them back.

These boots are well worth the hype (and the price tag), just be sure to order a half size up from your normal walking shoe!

These boots run SMALL. I normally wear an 8W and wish I had not bought these. I bought a 9 and they are hurting my feet and I don't know if they will stretch out. You definitely need more room if you wear thick socks. I wish I had waited to find and try on a wide width. These are also super slick on ice and snow. My last complaint is that I have to retie them about every 1 to 2 hours of wearing them. They will not stay tied with the round laces. I am debating whether to go buy a new pair of hiking boots or put up with these and hope they stretch out.

These boots are well made, with a leather upper and lug soles. The narrow design is snug in the forefoot, but I imagine they will stretch out eventually. The arch has excellent support and the toe box is roomy enough to prevent blisters. The dip at the back of the boot neck is a welcome feature that makes walking more comfortable, and makes ankle socks an option. I bought the grey color and like the look far more than I expected.

I LOVE these shoes. I have been wearing my current pair for over 2 years EVERY day at work. I work at Trader Joes and am on my feet all day. When Im not working, I am backpacking . I do approximately 15 to 22 miles each day and they do great, no blisters whatsoever!!
I wanted to be a trail runner gal, but they just dont provide the support I need.
They are pretty waterproof and feel like slippers. I have narrow feet. If you dont have narrow feet order a wide. I normally wear size 7.5 regular shoes and I order these at 8.5 which works perfect.
NOTE: I did purchase new Oboz inserts for these boots when they were 1 year and 8 months old. It has extended their life and I am still wearing my old pair. I will keep wearing my old pair until they fall apart (-:

I'm usually a size 7 and sized up to a 7.5; there's no way I could've worn a 7 in this shoe. While the 7.5 fit, it was slightly too narrow for my wider feet. I wound up getting the Sypes Mid from Oboz in a 7, which fit like a glove and also had a more comfortable gusseted tongue. All that said this appeared to be a well-made sturdy boot. Thanks Zappos for the great return policy!

Great design and features, but this shoe runs small and narrow. I typically wear a 7B. I did try a 7 wide (C), but it still was too tight. Since Zappos didn't have a 7.5, I ordered it from another seller, and I also ordered it in the wide (C) width. That worked! I look forward to using them on the trails. Overall seems to be a great quality shoe.

Very well crafted and aggressive tread. Excellent ankle support as well but had to send them back. Wearing them for 15 minutes around the house I noticed the ankle digging in uncomfortably. No way they would work for me on a real hike, especially given other reviews reporting similar. If you don't notice this on you and want an excellent, aggressive boot, then these would likely be great. Stiff arch support but I have to use special inserts for my messed up, former dancer feet!
Great for someone. Just not me.

Comfortable right out of the box… day one hiked 4.5 miles with no issues. I wish the boot had a boot pull tab to make it easier to get the boots on.

I was on the hunt for a hiking boot with high arches. These were rated no 1. I am pleasantly surprised that the inserts have a molded high arch. Unfortunately not high enough for me so with my own inserts from the roadrunnerstore for my running shoes, these fit perfect. I also have a narrow heel and wide foot. The heel wasn’t as narrow as I’d been led to believe by other reviews. My heel still slides. And the 8.5W fits pretty snug still (the 8.0W was too tight and my toe hit in the front. No room for swelling during hiking). At the advice of a friend who loves these hiking boots, I went up a half size. They are pretty good. Wore them for a 16hr shift of work immediately out of the box. Not bad, Oboz. Still need to hike in them. Then we shall see.

I wanted to love these hiking boots; they are well-made and great looking. I had heard great reports from my hikIng friends about their comfort and durability. However, the arch support was off, and couldn’t even walk in them. My friends love their Ozos but they’re not for me

I really liked them and wanted them to work. And the color is so fun! But it was tight in the toebox. In fairness, I do have a bunion on the right side which is a headache.

Size runs small and a bit narrow. But they are cute! I order wide width and feel like medium width. I ordered both 7.5 wide and 8 wide, could fit the 8 pair fine, but I don't need longer shoes, I need the comfortable width. As far as width goes, both sizes are pretty close to each other, can hardly tell the difference, IMO. These mid-high boots are still a bit stiffy, esp around the ankle wrap area. Will put to the test soon, probably needs some breaking-in to soften up the leather. This is my first red boots, at my age... will see what people say. :) :p :)

My size is 8.5, based on the reviews I ordered a size 9m initially, because that's the size I usually order in sneakers or boots. The 9m was a 1/2 too small and felt like a narrow. I returned the 9 and reordered it in a 9.5 wide. This gave me a lot more width so that my feet can spread out and gave me enough length to wear some thick socks comfortably. I'm not sure about the arch support yet. I think it feels ok now, but not sure if it wont become a problem on long walks. Per the reviews this was not the case, but time will tell.

I have some boots that are fairly comfortable, but I bought these in the hope that they would be the perfect pair, however, they really weren't much nicer than the ones I have, so I returned them. If I had not already had boots that were fairly comfortable, I probably would have kept them. I wear a size 10 medium width and they fit well.

Not bad looking (for a hiking boot), plenty of room in the toe box, and good ankle collar. But feels a bit "hard" underfoot. I need more cushioning for bad knees, and it won't accommodate an extra layer of cushioning. May order wider width to see if that will work.

Nice boots but stiff, probably only good for steep, rocky hikes after breaking them in for a while first. I'm returning and going with a boot that is a bit softer/more flexible around the ankle.

Everything about this boot was comfortable except for the edge of the tongue - it was stiff as a board and dug into my shin. Needs more padding and flexibility. Going to have to send back.

This boot, at 11 Wide, was still too short on my longer foot, and didn’t feel all that wide. What’s worse, it rubbed my ankle tendon and I know I would be in pain within 5 minutes. Trying the sawtooth instead.
