These are extremely narrow. If your child has even a slightly wider foot, I wouldn't suggest them. My 9 year old generally wears a regular width, though he wore wides as a toddler/little one. He couldn't even get his foot into these! I wound up keeping them, because his size is actually the same as my women's shoe size, and I can use them as a back-up pair.
