I bought these for my 9 year old grandson, mainly because I know from personal experience how comfortable and long-wearing the Asics Gel-Nimbus can be. They stand up well when playing sports, and they also are great for young kids who still get down on the ground and/or floor and play Legos and run their trucks and cars. I have found that the wear and tear is not nearly as noticeable on these as on some of the other name brand sneakers. He likes them much better than the Nikes he had been previously wearing. They would be perfect if they had a Velcro closure; kids just don't seem to be able to tie long-lasting knots.

I wear a women's 8.5 or 9 the colors available now are terrible so this big boys 7 was a possibility bought these with fingers crossed--they fit great and... much less expensive than adult women's shoes quality same as adult shoes!

Bought this shoe for my 11 year old son for the second year in a row. He runs on his schools cc team and this shoe was recommended by the pediatric podiatrist assoc. last year for young runners and we were very happy with it last season so we purchased it again this season.

My favorite go to sneaker for my son. He is a chronic ankle sprainer and gets so much support from this sneaker. Love!!

I purchased these for my son who has been experiencing heel pain after running. The gel and support in these shoes are perfect. Asics, you have gone above and beyond yet again!

I really like the way these shoes look. My son and I could agree on these. Also, a good plus is that the insole of these shoes is completely removable without being glued down. This is good as we were needing to add some orthotics for my son's growing feet. I had to wash them after the first wear as another child spilled his lunch on them (beans). They cleaned up very well. My son says they are comfortable.

Shoes arrived in a timely manner. My nine year old put them on and loved them. He has Severs disease like other reviewer noted, and these were very comfortable. Support is wonderful and my son loves the bright blue and yellow. Great shoe!

My 8 year old son needed new shoes for running cross country. Asics has a great name for itself with running shoes. The previous reviews on this shoe were helpful because most people who bought this shoe had children who ran for a sport. The shoe fit my son perfectly. He loves them, and says they are much more comfortable then over his beloved Nikes. If your child has a wide foot these will be tight.

Bought these for my 6th grader to run cross-country practice in. He has flat feet and needs good arch support. He really likes these. We've had other Asics before and been happy (Tri Noosa), and he likes these just as well. The orange is bright!

Bought these for my 12-year old son that was suffering from Sever' Disease (severe pain in the heel of foot due to rapid growth). My son was running on cross-country team and could barely run due to pain. I bought these because they seem to have a good "heel drop" which helps with this type of pain. He felt instant relief, and has no pain while running in these shoes. Great buy for his practices!

My 9 year old son loves these! Comfortable, good support - so much so that he forgets to take them off when he comes in!

We ended up getting a size bigger. My son has no complaints. I feel great knowing he's running in a good quality shoe. He is 7 years old & runs about 5 miles a week.

My 8-year old son runs up to five miles a week and participates in track and field plus random 5k's. We needed a high-end running shoe that would give him support and wouldn't wear out at the bottom. This is a great shoe. The front has a mesh lining that is slightly opaque, so it is breathable while he runs. The soles last a long time and they are much more durable than most kids running shoes on the market. You get what you pay for. The bright green started getting visibly dirty the first day he wore them.

My son loved this shoe. It has great support and he says it feels good on his feet. I got a larger size due to the reviews.

These shoes are nice and brightly colored. My son says they are comfortable and we needed something with arch support since he has flat feet. They would not fit an insert but he does not complain about how much his feet hurt when they come off.

These shoes are great for my son who runs cross country. He's in 4th grade and has a more narrow foot. However the front rubber part at the toe area came loose on both shoes after just 2 cross country meets. Very disappointing for a shoe that runs at this cost. Maybe it's a design flaw.

My son never complained on how they fit, but less than a month owning them the rubber at tip of toe started coming undone. They same happened to my daughter's Asics. First and last time I will ever buy Asics sneakers again.
