My son likes these shoes, and they are more flexible than most sandals one can find. That being said, they are not as flexible as I was expecting from a barefoot-style shoe. They are far less flexible, for example, than a water-sock type shoe (like a Panama Jack water shoe). Of course, these Vivobarefoots are also more protective and durable than a water sock. Overall, I am glad I purchased them, but I wish they were more flexible.

I got these for my son for summer shoes. I like barefoot shoes for my children's developing feet. These are slightly big, but still stay on well, and can work for things like hiking in addition to being good for water. They're very flexible and my son likes them. They don't have arch support, but that's how barefoot shoes are made, and since that is what my kids wear, they find them comfortable.

These shoes look cool and my 4.5 gets a ton of compliments. More importantly, they are incredibly light, wide for a growing young foot and easy to take on and off on his own. The best is they stay put on his feet as he runs, climbs and splashes around. We see how differently our boys maneuver w light shoes. These are two thumbs up! Little bro has a pair coming!

These are awesome! Fit true to size, made really well, they do not give her blisters anywhere, they stay velcroed and on her feet. It's exactly what we were looking for!

Great lightweight shoe with a wide toe-box that handles water well. The toe curls up a little more than I prefer and it would be nice if a few of the drainage holes were a little lower on the shoe so that the water drained better. Previous versions got a little smelly by the end of the summer. In the smaller sizes my daughter complained that the heel was too high and hit her Achilles tendon.

Terrific show! We tried the phibian by stride rite and it cut up my daughters foot after wearing it for only 5 min. This shoe is super comfy and great for camp! She can run and play sports in it and it dries quickly if it gets wet. It's also super cute! It was a great purchase!

My son loves, loves, loves these shoes, and so do we. They are stylish, easy to put on, and perfect for a variety of activities. Please bring back the white (or any color that might actually match a normal wardrobe) as I won't purchase these in the colors now offered.

My 3 year old grandson loves these. Doesn't want to take them off! He has a wide foot and they fit great.

Great shoe! It's the third time I get these for my daughter. My daughter loved hers last summer and wore them all the time. To the park, to school, to the pool, everyday. The only problem I had with them is that with daily use they get a little stinky, but it goes away if you wash them often.

I love these for my super wide footed son! Crocs fall off his feet and make him clumsy, but these minimalist shoes are great. I even buy them a little big so we get more wear out of them, and he still is able to run and play in them. We use them at the beach and pool mostly. I could see the sole wearing out if they were used for more walking/running.

These are great looking shoes that are perfect for Arizona summer. My then 2.5yo could put them on himself and we did so many water activities with this as well as regular indoor walking. He really liked wearing them and the bright green color got so much attention and compliments. My only complaint is that they smell easily so I would clean with baking soda the footbed frequently. He is about to start his summer at 3.5yo and he's still able to wear these though I'm going to get another set of shoes for this summer.

These run big. We are having to return our second pair due to large fit in comparison to others in the same size.

These are indestructible like Crocs but not so stiff. The pink with aqua strap is a really cute color combo. These do run large though.

These are great looking shoes. I wanted some white sandals for my son that were stylish and comfortable. These are perfect and look very cool (not feminine like other white sandals I viewed). My son says they're super comfortable and has no trouble running around in them. My only complaint is that the glue used on the velcro part of the white sandals is a horrible yellowish brown color that seeps through the pads, giving the area a yellowed, dirty appearance. I thought it might have just been the pair I received, but upon closer inspection of the pictures offered, it appears as though this happens with all of the white shoes. I debated returning them because of this, but figured no one else will really notice once the straps are secured. If you're very particular about that sort of thing, the white may not be your best option. Hopefully the company will reevaluate the glue they use for white shoes in the future.

Loved the look of these and they are super easy off/on, but... within a few weeks my almost 4 year old had worn a hole in the bottom of these shoes. Granted she is a tough little girl, but children's shoes should handle wear and tear better than these did. Also, as many reviewers remarked, these smell and create stinky feet after just a few uses. Don't feel comfortable returning these, but frustrated by the spend of money that didn't last even half of one summer.

These caused blisters on my two year old's heels after he wore them only twice. I wrote to Zappos and they will return them for me. I am sticking with Crocs.
