I ordered these shoes for light to moderate running on partially maintained park trails of intermittent rockiness. Since I have only had them for about a week I have only run 12 or so miles in them so far, but so far they have performed like a dream. They provide good traction but don't catch or trip on rocks as I have heard some other trail running shoes do (those with more of a hard cleat-like feature on the sole). My previous trail-runner was the Brooks Trance 12, and the Cascadia is far superior in terms of traction and comfort. Each step is super cushy and I don't feel as worn down at the end of the run as I had been feeling. Really happy I bought this shoe.

Excellent trail runners. I have used Salomon and Montrail Masochist. This is my 3rd pair of Cascadia's. They provide the best underfoot protection from sharp rocks on the trails we run. If you have to do road sections they are very firm underfoot. They are my current go to trial runner.

As usual, these are great shoes and fit my feet perfectly. This is my fourth generation of Cascadias. I'm sure other brands are great but unless you got a lot of money to burn by experimenting with other shoes, stick with what you've found works for you. My only complaint is the color choices which I find to be more load than past generations Cascadias (but that's the style now in running shoes).

I almost returned these until I got used to the red color. Then I ordered a pair of the gray green. I don't run, but I wear them at work. Pretty comfortable out of the box. After another day or two of wear they were even more comfortable.

This is written by a 25 - 35 mi/week runner, male, 160 lb.
These are my third pair of Cascadia shoes (8, 9, and now 10).
These shoes got a total overhaul, different materials, resulted therefore a completely different running experience. Not for the better, I am afraid. See the pros and cons.
Pros:
Even better grip on wet logs and wet rocks due to the improved side pattern on the sole (previous models had excellent grip also)
Due to different lacing pattern, the mid foot is very well held in place.
That is all, I am afraid.
Cons:
Rigid feeling at the toe box. Forget about the cushioned, glove-like feeling of the prev. models.
Heel is hard. It extremely hardens under 40F, above this temperature it gets better, in the 60s it is ok, as long as one stays on the trail - no more asphalt running in these shoes.
Heel is loose. If your heel gets stuck in the mud, there is a chance that you'll leave the shoe behind. If not, it is due to the better mid foot support.
Overall, in previous models you could run the couple of miles on asphalt to and back from the trail, these shoes feel a bit too hard for that. I used my previous models on both trails and road, this time a bought a pair of Ghost 7 for the asphalt.
The ride is not as cushioned in these shoes as it was in the prev. models.
It is still a good pair of shoes, rather dedicated to the trails.

These shoes are all around excellent. The construction is solid and the cushioning is just right - it isolates the rough stuff but gives good feedback on whatever surface I am on. I really like the natural heel as well. Combined with the great shock absorption it makes running/walking feel transparent for me. Well built, comfortable and tough as nails. The good looks do not hurt either!

I am really enjoying using these shoes on the local trails; they have the perfect combination of good fit, cushioning, and stability. I'm ordering a second pair.

These are solid shoe. They run true through the trails with excellent support and gripping force. I clocked in nicely on the course at Camp Pendleton, CA.

This is a very good fitting shoe with excellent traction and rock protection. Felt great right out of the box. Something to keep in mind if you use the "Show me how it fits" tool by Shoefitr. I generally wear a 10.5D in Asics shoes and it suggested an 11D. 11 was too big so I exchanged them for a 10.5 and they're perfect.

Super bright! Super comfortable! Have had numerous brooks shoes in the past and fit is just like past shoes, true to size in my estimation. great tread for trail running. Very pleased.

Magnificent! Very nice looking and super high quality. It's hard to find a men's tennis shoe that doesn't look like Bozo the clown. This one doesn't!

I had previous experience with Brooks Cascadia 7s. These are even more comfortable and lightweight. They are not bulky like a lot of other Brooks. I have not run in them but I wear them for work.

Very good looking & comfortable shoe. Bought a 2nd pair for backup. The only negative so far is the eyelet on one shoe (the eyelet on the outside that is located on the yellow strip) ripped out. I'm making do by skipping this eyelet on both sides of the shoe, but I have never had this happen before.

Great service as usual from Zappos. As for the Cascadias, I have been a fan since the 3d generation. I really like these but they did feel slightly tight in the toe box initially but have since felt great. The only issue is the color (navy) appeared darker, more black, in the online photo.

I have been using this model since Cascadia 6. The Cascadia 10 seem to be narrower for the same size and are not as comfortable as previous models. The top of the shoe seems tighter than previous models.

The running sole of the Cascadia is the best. Good protection from the rocks. The toe box is too small for the 60-70 mile weeks. Also the lace grommets are exposed inside in this new model. The tongue seems to be over padded and we loose the control of lace pressure.

Shoes are stiff and heavy but do offer decent protection from rocks. Tread is good. Overall more of a lightweight hiker than a running shoe for me as they are too stiff and bulky. Sizing runs small - I had to go up one full size and the shoes is still narrow. Brooks don't seem to ever fit me right. The heel is overbuilt and shoe feels as though it has a significant heel-to-toe drop. Not impressed.

I bought these for hiking, they are light, breathe well, and dry fast. My only complaint is the durability. They started falling apart after only 100 miles. The tread is not very durable and wears quickly, holes developed at the top of the shoe by the ankle, I have no idea why. At the toe to foot joint, the sides of the shoe is starting to shred. I've read that these are typical issues with the Cascadia 10 and I hope they get fixed with the 11. I would have thought they would last longer for the cost.
