Love the style of this shoe! It looks fantastic and the material feels wonderful. I'm typically a 6.5/7, so I ordered a 7. The foot bed fit perfectly. However, there's no way that these are wide calf. I have calves that are about 16-3/4" in width. I needed another 3" of material in order to get these to zip up past my ankle. Very sad, but I have to return them.

These did not fit my 17" calfs. I was hoping to squeeze into them because I love the style. I had to return them.

Last week I sadly returned a beautiful pair of Bed-Stu boots that were just a half inch too small in the calf, but rejoiced when I found these instead. The measurements state the calf is 16" for a size 8.5, so beware if you wear a smaller size but still have a 16" calf. I wear a 7, but buy 7.5 in boots due to my high instep. I was so excited when these arrived, I put them on ASAP, and could not come close to zipping them closed. Sigh. I measured the shaft and they are 15" around in the 7.5, so they probably go up .5" every half size, if it's 16" on a size 8.5. Again, sigh. I was really hoping to get a pair of decently priced leather boots that are funkier than the typical plain riding boot. The leather is thick and a gorgeous shade of dark brown, the soles seem like they'll be great in the winter, and they're fully lined, which I can't say the same for my 3 times as expensive Frye boots. I really didn't want to spend a mint on a pair of brown boots, but it's looking like I will. The search continues.

I was so hopeful that this was going to be the boot I have been searching for. It did fit but it is so clunky and cheap looking. Fake stitching is not what I want on a real leather boot. Also, on the inside there is nothing but hard, flat plastic. No arch, no padding whatsoever. This boot smells like leather but looks like pleather. Maybe for $39, not for this price.

I order this boot in black, size 12 wide calf, medium width. The calf was plenty wide with a little room to spare even with tights/leggings or skinny jeans tucked in. But, the foot bed fit more like a wide than a medium. Even with a thick sock my foot was still very loose in them and my foot is definitely narrow. The leather was thick but the quality was not that good. It would show scraches very easily. As a matter of fact it looked as if the boots had been tried on several times and was a little scuffed up. Also the dye on the leather was not real consistent, kind of rugged looking. One of the straps around the ankle was attached to the boot. The other strap was a loose strip of leather with a buckle and it curled on the end (did not lay flat). The style of the boot was cute but the fit was like that of a cheap boot. Nothing about this boot fit my foot so I had to return them.

Definitely not wide calf. I never order wide calf. The calf circumference is listed at 16 but I couldn't get them to zip. I have another pair of boots with a stated calf circumference of 14 that zip.

Loved the style, foot comfort was great. Wide calf was not, but for the price, cheaply made, not leather, boot not sewed to the sole it was glued!

I measured my calf and compared the circumference to the David Tate boots I bought last year and they still didn't fit around my calf when they arrived. They were so cute! :(

Too small around calf. I wear a 7.5 and have a 15.5 calf. These boots wouldn't even zip half way. I have another pair of Fitzwell dress boots that are plenty roomy -- must be this style.

These boots are absolutely beautiful but they are not wide calf boots - not even close. If you have wide calves, don't bother ordering them thinking they might fit. You'll just end up sending them back like everyone else in these reviews. I'm so disappointed.
