Great hat. Very low profile compared to other trapper hats. You wont look as much like a Russian spy wearing this one. Super well made, I expect this hat will last a lifetime. I made the mistake of ordering a small because I have a small head in most hat sizes, but apparently Filson makes this hat for tykes all the way up to meatheads. I went to Filsons site to get the following size info so you can be sure to get one that fits. HAT SIZE Small 6¾" - 6?" head circumference 21?" - 21½" Medium 7" - 7?"head circumference 21?" - 22¼" Large 7¼" - 7? head circumference 22?" - 23" XL 7½" - 7?" head circumference 23½" - 23?" I have heard nothing but great things a about Filson products for years. I know they go back to Klondike days and helped outfit people trying to get to Alaskan gold fields back in 1898. Therefore I expected a fantastically warm hat and am quite disappointed. It's an OK hat but not nearly as warm as I'd hoped. My head got cold when I was out shoveling snow. It's the right fit because I went to the Filson website to get the correct measurement and had my daughter measure (twice). I would send it back to Zappos if I'd kept the original packaging, etc., which I didn't. I am a former Alaskan and have had much warmer (and less expensive) hats in the past.
