I needed to replace my Dunham Cloud boots and found an identical pair. I wore the old pair on hikes thru Iceland, England, Scotland and many other locations in the US and Canada. They are well made, comfortable and I recommend them for light hiking duty. Narrow and wide sizes are available.

This is my third pair. They stay waterproof for at least two years of near-daily use, and I've been hiking in them instead of my serious hiking boots and don't really notice the difference except these are lighter.

I began wearing the women's version of this boot about twenty years ago. Well, at least fifteen. Then once foot became too wide in forefoot switched to men's. They are great for hiking and endlessly comfortable. Now no one has any in my size! Please get them back. Fine with orthotic, good contact with the ground but also comfort. Excellent on urban and trail environments.

These are great boots for working outside around our property, especially in the winter. In this part of Oregon (not far from the Coast) we usually get quite a bit of rain during the winter, and even an occasional snow storm. Temperatures also get down into the low 20's, and my feet never get cold in these boots.

I’m pleased with the fit of these Durham Cloud mid rise boots. I bought the same size in another brand, but those pinched. The medium width Durhams fit great, walking is a dream, with a good gripping tread, and a deep enough toe box to accommodate my orthotics

I suffer from underpronation (aka supination). In otherwords, I tend to go over on the outside of my foot when walking. I also have a high instep (arch) and wide feet. I live in northern NY state and it can be cold and wet here. These boots checked all the right boxes: Comfortable, warm, dry, and supportive. And they're great to drive in. Bonus! Great boots!

My husband has size 14 narrow feet with ankles that actually strike each other when he walks. He needs a hiker shoe to protect his ankles when he walks. But, he also needs a shoe to give some comfort as he stands on concrete for hours at a time. This hikers did the trick. They fit him perfectly. And, being narrow, he didn't have to tie the laces around the shoe to keep the shoe tied! He doesn't look like a goober!

This is my 2nd pair of Dunham Clouds and they are just as comfortable as the first. Myself needing narrow shoes, the B width Cloud with an arthritic insert minus the provided insert make a perfect fit for my size 9B foot. Very happy.

A woman with 12 4E feet. I bought men's 10 4E and they were both too short and too narrow. Couldn't even wear them to walk around, so returned.

I admired my friend's boots and bought a pair. They are great for around town - the colors are great with jeans etc. and are not as ugly (IMHO) compared more technical-looking boots. Good for light trail hiking, not for serious hiking or rain / snow conditions. Warning: they are more water-resistant than water-proof!

The Dunham Cloud Waterproof boot is a light hiker, with the emphasis on "light." On the positive side, the boot is comfortable right out of the box. For those, like me, with wide feet (I bought a 9 1/2 4E), the toe box is generous. The boot accommodates a custom orthotic very well. There are two major negatives to this boot, which, in my opinion, limits it to use for woods walks and very gentle hikes. First, the bottom of the boot is too thin to provide protection from rocks and roots - you feel every one on the bottom of your feet. I would not want to wear these boots on a typical New Hampshire or Maine, steep and/or rocky mountain trail. Second, the grip is poor in any kind of wet trail conditions. It did not occur to me before I bought these boots, but any truly good hiking boot has a defined heel, not a sole that is almost flat like these boots. In addition, the treads do not grip nearly as well as sturdy vibram soles. The soles of the Dunham Cloud are closer to a good tennis or basketball sneaker, than a sturdy hiking boot. Those reviewers who said they took these boots on rugged or extended hikes, must have feet of iron. These boots have their place, and I think can work well in level woods or on gentle mountain trails, but are not built for steep or rough trails. Fule disclosure - I hike primarily in custom-fitted Limmers - wonderful, life-time hiking boots, suitable tough mountain trails. I wanted something lighter for easier hikes, but the Cloud give up too much in the way of foot protection, stability, and grip to be worth the weight savings.
I'd also recommend:
Near-impossible to find high quality, off the rack hiking boots, for people with wide (4E+) feet.

This is a very comfortable lighter hiking boot with good styling but it's sold as waterproof and IT IS DEFINITELY NOT. Just returned from a one hour hike in the rain and my socks are wet. Very disappointing.

I was very happy to find a lightweight hiking boot that comes in narrow sized and fit my feet. I was disappointed though after hiking in these boots for just a couple of months to find that the soles was separating from the left boot indicating either poor overall quality of maybe bad quality control. Also worth mentioning that the soles on these shoes are not very grippy so if rock hopping is part of your hiking routine, you might want to find something with a better sole.

This were a gift for my husband. They are great in the snow. They are comfortable and look nice for a casual boot. He wears them with jeans when the weather wet and snowy.

After a few weeks of breaking in these boots, I hiked about 75 miles of the Portuguese Camino through Spain from Tui to Santiago. These boots are lightweight, were comfortable and waterproof. They were perfect on dirt trails, roads, cobblestone roads and sidewalks. I did change the footbed to use my Aetrex arch support due to plantar fasciitis.

So happy with these shoes! I have different size feet so had to buy two pairs - and that is how confident I am that they are perfect.
