These shoes are intended for a summer hiking trip. I am 6'4" tall and normally order size 13 and Extra Wide width on shoes, the 13 2E Dunham Cloud waterproof fit excellent right of the box. I love how light these hiking boots feel in comparison to my exising Dexter hiking boors which are NOT waterproof. The soles of the boots are unique in their proprietary design which do feel very skid resistant and so far no marking on my wooden floors. Only negative thing might be the "hook for the second to last row, I believe a loop to hold the laces in place would have been better. Over all love the style, craftsmanship, and fit of these Dunham mid height hiking boots.

The new pair of Clouds I bought are about a half-size to a size smaller then my previous ones. And I haven't worn them with heavy socks yet. He good news is that they seem to be somewhat lighter. I did change the color of the boots but that wouldn't affect the issues cited, would it now?

It has been so long since I have worn boots that fit and support my size 13 4E feet. Once I realized these were not insulated, I ordered the Dunham insulated boots. Unfortunately, those boots have a hard insole and have a vertically, shallow toe box, which squeezed my toes and were quite uncomfortable. These Dunham Cloud boots are waterproof. Hopefully, that will be enough for this Iowa winter, until I find a waterproof, insulated pair that fit.

I have narrow feet (B width) so it's hard for me to find any shoes that fit my feet. I saw these and thought I would give them a try. I'm not sure these are a true B width. I will probably keep them, because there isn't much out there for me.

I like the Lowa brand, as far as fit, but the things squeak terrible on any surface

Bought these three years ago, size 10.5 EE. Very comfortable right out of the box. Never got a blister with these through lots of rugged hiking. Decided to get another pair last month. They were a full half size smaller and the EE was narrower. Went to an 11. That worked, but still too narrow. Ended up returning. Will have to extend the life of the pair I've had for these last three years, and look what else is our there. Sorry Dunham. You fiddled with a good design and lost this customer.

Dunham seems to be slightly bigger and slightly wider than the size and width marked. Once you know that, you can order accordingly.

These were perfect! My only complaint is that they only lasted about 3 months. And for the price, I feel like they should last longer. The sole split at the ball of the foot after 10 weeks. I wear these to work daily but I don’t do a lot of walking on gravel or mountains. Since these are a hiking-type boot and cost a bit of $$, I thought they would last longer.

Tried size 15. too long. 14 perfect and lots of toe room (2E) . Worn them out today for first time. Only compliant is the narrow/small tread design collects tons of mud and dirt. Although I am sure its gives good traction on dry surface.

Ordered a 15 2E - but boot is about an inch to long. Going to order a 14-2E. Good looking sturdy boot.

These are light hiking/walking shoes. I would recommend a sturdier pair for demanding back-country hiking. Excellent heel and roll bar heel support. I wear custom-fit insoles for severe underpronation. These are my SECOND pair from Zappos because (in just four months of wear) the right shoe of pair #1 developed a significant breakdown of the sole and subsequent severe moisture leakage. I decided to stay with these because of the excellent fit and heel rollbar stability. Hoping pair #2 will last.

I am limited to brands that provide wide EE/EEEE sizes. Oddly, many hikers not made in wide sizes.

The toe box was just right, not too tight and plenty of room for my toes. The arch support was good but not quite as high as I needed. The heal was very lose and allowed my heal not stay in the shoe when walking. I solved this problem by getting a pair of Dr. Scholl's plantar fascia heal and arch support orthodic inserts. After I cut them to fit and put them in the shoes the fit was nearly perfect and I wear them everyday. I may have to to size A2 to get a shoe that fits. Thanks for making these narrow shoe sizes because can't wear shoes that don't any longer.

Really cool looking shoe. Feels durable and comfortable so it should make a good camping/hiking shoe. Size 15 2E fit my giant, flat, wide feet perfectly. The low top version hit my ankle in a weird way so I went with the high tops and and it’s much more comfortable. The sole is a little stiff, as it should be in a well-built hiking shoe. My first minor complaint is the lack of significant arch support, which is common these days so tough to fault. I also don’t like the way the top two lace “holes” are actually just “pegs” around which the laces need to be wrapped every time I tie the shoes. Other than these two minor issues these would be perfect.

I really liked the shoes, but I have wide feet and I felt somewhat squished. Great shoes, just didn’t fit my feet.

I have numerous shoes & boots from Dunham & have been a customer of their parent, New Balance, for 40 years.
I wear men's 12B, and these always fit fine. We narrow feet folks must turn to Zappo's to be fit.
These haven't been worn yet, except to check fit & look for defects. So far, so good.
I like the narrow fit and the "waterproof" feature.

I have several pairs of Dunham shoes & boots in 12B and one in 13B. All are well-made, fit well, wear well.
These are brand-new to me, just checked for fit, but seem fine.
I don't understand the negative review; they look & feel great so far.

My grandson has been wearing these for several years. He loves them. He wears them to work in, fishing, walking and when its cold. They wear for over a year. I bought him a pair for Christmas. He will put them right on and we3ar them all day Christmas. Thanks Zappos for your fast delivery and fun comments. Virginia

This pair is the 5th pair I have owned over the years. I keep purchasing them because they fit my long narrow feet. The biggest problem I have with them is the cheap laces. I have had to replace them in just a few months because they fray at the hooks and then break. This last pair started fraying the first weekend I wore them! The rubber toe cap has a tendency to start coming unglued after a year when there is plenty of wear left on soles.

I have had the Dunham Clouds for 2 and 1/2 years, and given them a lot of casual use, walking, gardening and mowing my lawn. I find them comfortable for a few hours, but am glad to take them off after more than three. I was pleased with their water resistance, but recently the sole puckered open where it curves up and over the big toe. Suddenly the left boot is not waterproof.
I have old, hard to fit, long narrow feet, and it is tempting to reorder, but I will try to find something more comfortable.

This is my first time trying out Dunham Cloud Waterproof boots. I had to get one size larger and wide width because I have bunions. But so far they have been good boots. Lots of support all around.

Hello fellow size 13-14 EE, EEE, EEEE sufferers! This shoe, at 14 EEEE, fits in the width across the ball of my foot, plenty of room in the toe box, and the heel feels Ok too. My heel is a bit narrow. I added arch support as I have a high one and there is not much in these at all.
I searched a longtime before finding a 14 EEEE and this one works. My dress shoes are Allen Edmonds 14 EEE, casual shoes Neal 13 EEE, New Balance 806 14 EEEE. So far I've worn it for about 10 miles of concrete hiking. Feels broken in already.

Love the way the shoe fits the natural contours of my foot- size 9 mens 4E. I do find that the ankle fit is a bit loose esp. when the laces keep loosening up.

I just received these two days ago. I switched from Timberlands because my last two pair of Timberland hikers lost their support system at midfoot in less than a year. I am a female who ordered these in men's 9 wide and usually order men's 8.5 regular in Timberland hikers. The fit is darn near perfect with medium weight socks and the stability in these boots is awesome for my chronic ankle instability. They don't bother my broken and poorly healed 5th metatarsal and they aren't heavy. I was told about these by a friend who wears Rockport (apparently Rockport now handles the Dunham brand) and I just want to hug her. These are awesome. I haven't wanted to take them off for two days now. My next purchase will be the low version.
