Pro old skools felt a little smaller due to the extra cushioning. Shoes are also a little chunkier than traditional old schools. However the gumsole models were too cool to pass up. They also come with black laces which are much more slick looking than the white imo.

Okay, so I have always liked Old Skools, but the lack of cushioning have always made them a painful shoe to wear. When I found out they had the Pros that had removable cushioned insoles, I had to get a pair. They definitely are better than traditional Okd Skools, but still aren't quite where they need to be comfort wise. The Ultra Cush insoles have great heel cushioning, but sadly not much forefoot cushioning, which is something I need badly in a pair of shoes. I purchased a cheap pair of those Dr. Scholl's foam insoles and cut them in half and placed the forefoot under the existing Pro Cush insoles. That seems to be a workaround until I work these in a bit and see how they feel after a few weeks. Also I'm getting some rubbing on the pinkie toe, but I expect that to resolve itself after a few wears. You cannot beat the style of these shoes as far as looks go. They are iconic and you know you're rocking some of the most stylish shoes ever designed. Just be warned that if you are someone who needs good cushioning, you may be disappointed.

I really like these shoes! Having Old Skools with more cushion (but not too much) is awesome. I have one caveat and one gripe: I almost gave up on them when I first tried them, because lacing them as usual caused a serious pressure on the forward top of my foot in a way I never had with the basic Old Skools, which I've worn constantly for a decade or more. But when I let some slack into the forward laces, it was cured! The other is a quality issue: I've bought two pairs of Pros, and one's been great, while the other separated between the tread and the band so badly I can't even walk down a wet sidewalk without soaking my socks, let alone step in a puddle. Living in the Pacific Northwest, that really, really sucks. I'm about to buy another pair, with fingers crossed that the ones that came apart were a fluke. My standard Old Skools usually held up fine for skate shoes, and one pair of the Pros has been fine.

They came stained! Had to return. So upsetting.

This was my first time ordering shoes from Zappos and I must say it was the best purchase ever! You can never go wrong with old skool vans but these pros are to another level they came with black and white laces ahhh! I love them and they fit great :) shipping was also really fast.

I love my Brighton Zeuner Vans Old Skool Pro!! This is my first pair of Old Skol Pro, I wanted them because of the style, color, and the little embroidered flower!! I couldn’t believe how comfortable they fit right out of the box, super cushion insole, runs true to size, I have a wide foot and didn’t need to size up!! I love purchasing from Zappos, they are so accommodating to their customers from the sale and beyond!! Customer Service is always extraordinary, they always make me feel so valued, and go the extra mile to make sure you are satisfied? I have yet to find a local store or online to compare?? Thank You

I’ve been really happy with these shoes. Very comfortable, liking the color scheme. The cream color compliments khakis pretty well. Comes with blue white pairs of lacesGot compliments from co-workers.I’ve only had them a week, so nothing else to report.

Fit and width is true to size. I like these shoes. They are comfortable. i bought the Pro version because I wanted the extra cush and support. I don't have a long history with Vans so I can't speak to how they compare to previous production, but these seem sturdy and will last awhile considering I wear them to the office and around home (I don't skate). The style works well with my employer's smart-casual dress code. Definitely recommend.

Fit of the shoe was perfect. And the premium materials on this specific old skool pro make it extra soft across the toe cap, much softer than other models.

Old Skool style with new tech. Definitely worth the upgrade from the original. Fit is great and have more cushion and arch support over the original. Perfect all around

Over all great shoes solidly made more support than original vans they are fairly flat shoes but that’s what is expected. Great style

I really liked these due to my toe braking months ago I couldn’t use them. My other foot was fine.. if not for that I’d have kept them! Overall great sneaker, but I’d go half size up.

Felt good on my feet but I can’t wear them for an extended period of time. Love the colors, very unique shoe!

The shoe came in great quality and matched all of my expectations from both the Van’s company as far as product wise and Zappos as far as shipping/delivery wise. I am normally a 6 but with this style of shoe, it fits exactly right. With that being said, I probably should have went up a half size to have a little extra toe room. This is not a flaw on behalf of either companies. I would just advise to go half a size up when ordering this style if you want some extra toe room.

Perfect fit!

The size was perfect however the they felt a little wide but that is probably because I bought them in the men’s section and I am a female so they felt kinda big in the width section.

My 3rd pair of the old Skool pros. Very comfortable. For an extra $10.00 you receive that traditional old Skool style with a much more substantial & cushy insole, much more effective and durable stitching & adhesive bonding, as well as a more flexible heel cup. Well worth the extra few bucks. I don’t skate anymore, but as everyday beaters these generally last me at least 2 years with regular use. Less colorways than the basic old Skool model, but if you’re into the basic colors, I’d recommend giving them a try...it’s like $10.00 more.
