I SO wanted to love this bag, but I just couldn't get past the front flap. The description states a "hook and loop closure" but it's actually a single circular magnet and it's very cumbersome to deal with when out, and about and trying to close with one hand isn't possible. I love the pocket options but I just wish that front flap was a zipper instead. That would make this bag absolutely perfect! I found my arm constantly hooking on the flap and it drove me crazy. I ordered the sandcastle color, and it came a very dark tan, not the vanilla-ish looking color it's shown as. I had previously ordered the cool blue color and it came defective - that color was darker than the image as well. All I had in my bag was a fossil wallet, a small makeup bag, sunglasses case, and some small odds and ends like chapstick and a pen. I had space still inside the bag, but because of how the weight was distributed, that caused the front flap to sit funny, which is why my arm kept catching. I guess if you don't have a ton to put in your purse (which with this bag it's a little bigger so you'd assume you'd be filling it with a bit more), then maybe you'll have better luck than I did with the front flap piece. The size was really quite perfect for me as I prefer a longer shoulder bag strap with an option to wear cross body if I need to. I wouldn't suggest this to others, but if you're willing to chance it, it's not a terrible bag - it just has really bad designing.

I love Kipling bags. I keep coming back to them. I wanted a medium sized every day bag that could hold my iPad if I needed it to. My iPad has a cover and it does take a bit of wiggling to get through the opening. If you haul around a lot of stuff (I don’t), it may not fit. Things I like in a bag: One big open section with at least least one zippered pocket, outside pockets big enough for keys or phone (flaps or zippers okay), crossbody strap that’s long enough for a plus size person, said strap to not slip once adjusted to correct length, and dirt/pet hair resistant. This fits all my needs. If I could change one thing, I’d make it 0.5” wider especially at the opening (for iPad).

This is my 3rd Aisling bag, I hope Kipling never discontinues this style. I bought the first one in 2016 for vacation use only, but never switched back to my leather bag afterwards. 1. It is so lightweight and comfortable. 2. It holds everything due to the generous bottom depth. It still tapers nicely at the top, saving it from being bulky. And l love the organization. The key leash is perfect for attaching a public transport card sleeve. The outer flap pocket holds my keys and prescription sunglasses. 3. It’s very well-made and cleans up easily. My original bag is still going strong. The straps if light colored do get grimy. Kiplings wash up and air dry beautifully with no wear and tear. After a gel tipped pen leaked inside my Aisling #2, I treated the stain with Oxy-Clean and machine washed it as usual inside a net bag. Not quite 100% gone, but darn near close. I also own the Machida which is not as roomy as the Aisling, which is the perfect size for me. It would be nice if Kipling creates another style I love as much. Meantime, please don’t stop making the Aisling.

I am a minimalist. In fact, this is the first purse I’ve carried in at least four years. I was looking for a cross body, plain/neutral in color. This is perfect. If you’re the person that carries the whole house in their purse it’s not for you. But if you like a wallet, phone, and some basic small essentials it’s great. The front flap/snap isn’t an issue one-handed for me.

I finally found the perfect size Kipling bag for everyday! Lots of compartments for organization. Lightweight for summer (I searched for a long time to find a bag made of this type of material)

A truly great bag. Perfect size for everyday, and nice and light. Easy to organize. I've found it best to use the key leash, otherwise the keys tend to get lost at the bottom of the main compartment.

This bag has a generous capacity without being bulky. The adjustable strap is made of a comfortable soft material that will feel good against the skin as well as not catch on clothing. The front flap is so handy for storing masks, tissues and other non-secure items. I like that it's made of nylon for great durability over the long term. Holds everything I need, including being roomy enough to hold extra eyeglass cases! I would recommend this bag!

I love this bag for day to day use and for travel. I have taken it on numerous cruises and the compartments are perfect to keep all those “need at a moments notice” items. I love it for shopping and I can even fit a muffin in there that I treated myself to at the store. I have arthritis and it is so light! Cleans very well. I now have two. My first has lasted for 5 years and looks brand new.

Better than the Gabbie in either size. Neater, holds everything, keeps everything organized. Small Gabbie was too small. Regular Gabbie was too big.

I had a Kipling bag years ago and loved it. I was pleased to find they still offer many styles and the Aisling crossbody is just what I have been looking for. I would say it is a great medium-sized bag, very lightweight and easy to wear, with plenty of room for my larger zip-around wallet, plus keys, sunglasses, lip balm, small notebook & pen, cell phone, you name it. Also in winter it will fit a pair of gloves and maybe even a small folding umbrella for rainy days. Looking forward to using it. The grey gris color is a nice neutral. I know the light color straps may eventually get dirty but the bag is washable. I would also like one in black but for some reason that color is more expensive so I will wait until I am sure. Loved the material and color. Did not realize how utilitarian the style is and that’s my fault. Otherwise a great bag. Just not right for me sadly.

This Aisling style was the perfect size and had all the inside and outside pockets I wanted. It would have been perfect if it didn't have a small hole in the material on the front flap. I wanted to exchange it for another one but this was the last one so I just returned it.
