I've worn them all, Wolverine,Red Wing,Duluth Trading..these were perfect from the start. Only had them 2 weeks so longevity is a ?, but I have Chippewa engineer boots that have held up well. I'm buying another pair immediately before they are discontinued. No better review than that.

tested these out last winter. excellent all-around. sturdy without feeling bulky. great quick-lacing. [called the company about the cancer warning but they would not tell me anything -- guess i won't lick these boots or use 'em as a pillow]

Well made and very comfortable right size. The American Flag charm on the laces is over the top

When reviews say they were great right out of the box, and I think that's BS, because it never happened to me. Until now. Great boots, fit perfectly (12EE) and they look great. Wore them 8 hours on the first day. Can also wear them with shorts in summer. Buy them.

I've been buying these boots for years. Great comfort and durability.My only complaint is that they didn't include the little American flag lace decorations they normally do. Instead was some certificate of authenticity. Heck, the picture on zappos even has the flags on the boots! C'mon! For that i give 3 stars for style.

Material feels great and I will be purchasing another pair when these wear out!!!

These are my second pair of Chippeaw boots. These are very well made boots, nice quality leather and stitching. I love the first pair I have for over two years now and I know I will love this pair the same! I took all the advice of the other reviews on here, and ordered a half size smaller and they fit perfect! I always wear a 10 1/2. I ordered a 10 and they are a perfect fit! I definitely recommend these boots and feel confident they will last years to come!

These boots are so good. They are my second pair of Chippewa boots, but this boot exceeds expectations in all ways. Comfort straight out, and the silhouette is sleek not bulky or clumsy. I get compliments on them frequently, and I love secretly love footwear jewelry. These boots have me obsessively watching the Chippewa range.

Puuuurrrfect fit..... Quality is state of the art, these are the very best quality and fitting boots I can remember purchasing. Comfortable too.

Bulletproof and comfortable. Great boots. I’m picky, and get blisters easily, but these have been fantastic. I wear them for either working on trees or doing heavier work on my house (just resided one side of it and spent about three days on my garage roof) where I want lots of foot protection and grip. Nails would not go through soles, not that I tried to make them. And surprisingly comfortable and flexible/nimble. Easy to walk in and don’t feel like you’re wearing ski boots. Can drive my small manual transmission car without having to put on smaller shoes. I bought size 10 and usually wear a 10.5, and it was the right call. The leather on these eases up nicely.

This boot has been my favorite for motorcycle riding for 15 years. I ride allot on my Harley, and these boots will last about 4 years.

Some reviews described larger size and width. For some shoe brands I wear 13 ½” by 2X wide. I took a risk and ordered 14D in the Chippewa Classic 6 Inch Lace Up. They fit perfectly from the moment I put them on and proved so flexible they did not need break-in. I like the workmanship and craft that went into these boots. I frequently traverse 2-inch minus angular gravel and these boots protect the soles of my feet well. I’m thrilled I found these boots, having shopped for over a year for boots. Everything about the boots speaks volumes to pride and craftsmanship of manufacture.

Simple, quality construction. I wear a 10.5 medium in most shoes but I've since learned that in boots, including these, to order a half size lower (so I have these in a 10 medium and they fit perfectly; I did originally try them in a 10.5). After a few days of light wear, they seem to be breaking in nicely. They're a lot more comfortable than I expected for a pretty straightforward boot (and I have feet on the flatter side). Love how easy they are to get in and out of with how the speed laces are set up. Some boots don't go low enough but these are just right. Not sure about waterproofing yet but since they are quality leather and I treated them with Nikwax, they should be just fine. Don't try using them like you would rubber or GoreTex boots but for sloppy weather and not going out of your way to submerge them, they should be fine. In terms of style, I liked them (of course) but surprisingly, so did my wife once I got them on with some jeans.

High quality, great old-school style. Large enough inside to add a nice, cushy insole. Wish they made a non-insulated, waterproof, 6-inch black boot. I use these primarily for riding my motorcycle. However, they also look good with blue jeans for casual wear. On the high end of boot prices, but the quality is evident. Will buy again and would recommend highly. With Zappos' fast delivery and return policy, it makes it worth it to find the right boot online.

I ordered a half size smaller than my usual sneaker size and it fits perfectly. I like the fact that though it is a work boot, it is not bulky looking and looks great with jeans even for office casual Fridays! Comfortable boot out of the box and great quality.

A great all around boot for the money. Sure you could buy a less expensive boot, but I wanted boots made to last and that were made here in the US. Great build quality; all the stitching and cuts were perfect. My only small issue is that the right boot foot arch support seems a bit higher than the left...but maybe it's just that my foot has a shallower arch...not really sure. I like them so much I would get them again in a different color but I bout a pair of Red Wing Heritage boots in the brown/ox-blood at the same time as these (see my review) so I don't foresee myself buying any more boots in the next 10 years or so! I wear these just about everyday; to work, on the motorcycle, out for a semi-chic night on the town with a nice pair of jeans and a sport coat...they can be dressed up or down!

I bought this since I am a big fan of Chippewa. I have purchased 2 pair of the 9 inch Super Loggers and love them. I bought theses and as ususal great buy. I wear these as a daily shoe. Super comfortable. I would suggest them to anyone looking for a light weight but well built boot for daily use.

I've worn this same model Chippewa on and off again since the mid-nineties. It's still made in the US, and it's still a surprisingly comfortable boot. Runs at least a half size large.

So far, so good. Comfortable fit. Warmer than dress shoes. Safer in icy conditions. Look great.

Comfortable boots with little to no break-in period. The leather is sturdy yet supple and the beautiful leather welting has proved to be very durable with almost two months of abuse in a fast-paced environment at work. Just as durable have been the Vibram outsoles which have performed well during this NYC winter. Would highly recommend to others in search for good-looking work/leisure boots.

GREAT 6" LIGHT DUTY BOOT PROVIDING GOOD VALUE Picked these up for use as dedicated truck boots. Normally wear 11.5B, the 10.5D size fit snugly all around. Oiled up (thirsty) and changed laces prior to wearing. Leather is supple and seems break-in will be uneventful. Tongue is only partially gusseted, but that's very common in this price point. Really like the traditional last profile used on these boots, compared to other brands which simply do not properly capture my foot. Have high arches, and enough room to use full length arch insert without discomfort. Fit & finish are all as expected, no out of the box issues experienced. Stitching is uniform throughout, nothing loose. Welt is in line; no sole or heel issues. Leather has no unexpected surface blemishes. Overall, this is a solidly constructed, made in USA boot providing good value. I can recommend to anyone looking at this price point without hesitation. Good job Chippewa! These seem like very sturdy work boots. I'm still breaking them in, but liking them so far. I use them on a job site doing house carpentry, and I appreciate the thick and rugged soles. The first pair I got were sewn wrong, the laces were not centered on one of the boots, but Zappos was very helpful and rush shipped a replacement pair, which I'm happy with. I normally wear an 11.5, and that size fit perfectly on me.
