This was my first time trying Hunter boot socks, so I didn’t know what to expect. The socks are okay, but they don’t function very well with the boots. After I put these in my Hunter boots, I had to force my foot inside. These socks made my boots extremely tight and uncomfortable, and getting my foot back out was a nightmare. I think I pulled something in my ankle in the process. I thought these socks would be okay because my Hunter boots are slightly loose without these, but I think you need to go up a size if you plan on wearing these with your boots.

I like them. However, you must put the sock on first, then slip your foot in short Hunter. For those of us with large calfs (16"). Tight with straight pants. Better with leggings. So, snug in calf, very roomy on foot. I also added insole as the boot has no arch support.

These are very cute with the black Hunter boots. They are warm! I still have to wear a kind of thin pair of socks even with these. I have narrow feet and they did feel a little bunched up inside the boots where my feet did not fill them out. But overall I really like them. I just wish the toe area was cut a little more narrow.

I ordered a large becuase I'm a size 8, but found that the large was too big. Medium worked much better.
Depending on the size of your calf, the Hunter socks & boots may or may not look bulky. I have bigger calfs, so if I'm going to use Hunter socks, they need to be the fleece instead of the cable knit ones... and I need to think about the pants I'm wearing.
