Perfect combo of great looks and everyday comfort. I needed a pair of everyday black boots to replace my current pair and ordered several options from zappos. The others were all flat as I need primarily comfort. I ordered this pair on a whim even though I have a dressier pair. Well these are every bit as comfortable as the utilitarian flat options! The toe to heel difference is not so much as to throw tiur weight onto the balls of your feet and the leather is like butter. I'm toying with the idea of ordering another pair for when these wear out I like them so much!

I DO NOT do heels. Ever. But now that I teach in a a High School, I hate feeling shorter than my students wearing outrageous heels. I know their feet have to be killing them. Now I gleefully chuckle to myself standing eye-to-eye. I walked and stood on hard floors all day in these. And was taller than some guys. These sleek boots dress-up my go-to khakis and make my big 9 1/2 size feet look little. Enough said for comfort & style. Now I have a taller heel and beautiful boot that I can wear the day after an ice storm. Can't wait.

In short -- I love this shoe. I bought it to replace a long-time favorite of mine that is no longer made. It was the closest I could find, and it's now my new favorite. It did fit slightly larger than I'd hoped, but as it was not available in the half-size I needed, I opted to go with the larger fit, as the shoe itself is exactly what I wanted. The toe area fits more narrowly than the foot section, so wearing thicker socks is not practical. It's stylish but rugged enough to wear for a full day's work, with lots of walking involved. The wedge heel is just high enough to give you a little extra height, but still be extremely comfortable. I'm a bit concerned the leather is on the thin side and may wear out too easily, but time will tell on that front. So far so good!

I love this boot. It was comfortable right out of the box. I have arthritis in my feet and this worked! I am going to look for additional styles from Spring Step.

These boots are well worth the money. The soft, supple leather alone will take your breath away. Once you slip your feet in them you will swear your feet have been placed on little pillows and encompassed with comfort. I was heading out of town, and circumstances created a crazy situation that these brand new, in the box boots and were the only ones I could wear on my week long business trip. Well, it could have been a nightmare, new shoes and I spent a good deal of the time walking, but instead, the shoes felt wonderful on my feet the entire trip and I have to say have been one of my best purchases to date. Fit is true to size, quality and style, top notch. If you are considering these boots I can whole heartedly recommend them.

There is much to like about this boot. It felt a half size smaller than normal. I liked the very comfortable wedge heel and soft leather but a bit too shiny for my tastes.

Super comfortable right out of the box!

AMAZING! I love these booties! They are so comfortable and cute. I wear them with leggings and the are perfect. That said it is hard to explain how comfortable these booties are. They are freaky comfortable, seriously, that is number 1 for me!

I bought these at a boutique before I discovered that Zappos had them too. The leather is like butter and the shoe is super-comfortable, even though I do not usually wear heels, and I have 'difficult' feet (moderate bunion, arthritic toe, low arches, etc.). They are versatile and pair well with many looks (jeans, leggings, dresses, tights). Although I buy what I like, not what I think is trendy, they seem to be on trend, as several people have asked me about these boots. My only complaint is that the bottom (back heel area) wore out rather quickly (so minus 1 star), and I am not sure how to replace it, since the lug sole runs the length of the sole, and I fear any repair will compromise the look of the shoe. I am considering just buying a new pair, or 2 (1 now and 1 as a backup!) as I do like them that much.

A really nice looking wedge. For me, the shape of the heel seemed less stable than what is usual for a wedge and desirable for me working on my feet. They also were a tad narrow, but my feet were a bit swollen from flying cross-country.

While these don't look as high-end in person as they do on the site, they are unarguably as comfortable as promised. Heels kill my feet these days but I was able to wear these shoes for hours with no pain. Cute alternative to heels that look great with jeans or dressed up.

So I was excited to get these everyday boots to take me from day to night. Wore them for a couple of weeks then they felt like they stretched out and my feet were swimming in them. Maybe I could have gotten a half size smaller but this was my size- Just felt like they wore in too fast so i'm retuning. Very soft material, maybe too soft. If you wear them a lot you will wear them out to fast for the price. Maybe not high quality material is what I suspect.

I only wore this indoors for 1 season (kept them at work and commuted in snow/rain boots) and the toes are totally scuffed up. They are super comfy and beautiful but do not last, even as "house cats"

I really wanted to like these and was desperate for a pair of brown boots that didn't hurt my feet. I have been having major foot/Achilles problems and has to stop wearing all my other shoes, so I couldn't wait to get these because the promise of comfort was so appealing. These shoes had a nice height heel but were completely lacking in comfort. The insole was like standing on a wood floor-not hard like concrete, but after about a minute it hurts. So I am sending these back. They actually looked kind of cheap once I got them home, but the photos online look really nice. Maybe it was just the feel--they are definitely light shoes, but none of the comfort the company advertised was there. Sending these back and trying another company.

These are some of my favorite boots ever. Honestly I'm terrified of wearing them to pieces, but so far they have lasted!

2nd time purchasing-lost the first pair & just had to get them again! Unfortunately the price doubled just since last year! WHAT? And I still bought them, so that's saying something....

I love this shoe but ordered 2 items and have to return this one because the other ones were more suited for the use. I am very sad to return them. Great looking and feeling.

These boots are insanely comfortable! The forefoot feels reasonably cushioned, which makes a real difference when you're walking/standing/dancing/whatever on your feet for hours. That's in marked contrast to some other leather boots I own with thin, flat leather or rubber soles in the forefoot. I've owned these Spring Step boots for several years, and they're still holding up very well. My main two comments - (1) The upper is made of very soft, high quality natural leather. (2) They are really comfortable (on my size 8, b width, high-arched feet). The upper is shaped really nicely through the arch, heel and ankle. (3) The outsole is a foamed rubber that provides some nice cushioning and excellent traction.

I love these! They are cute & very comfortable. I tried on other Spring Steps & none had the cushion & bounce these have. I wish there were other color options.

Flattering on, light weight, and comfortable right out of the box. Great for travel as they're so versatile. The wedge is a great height. Comfy for site-seeing and dressed up a bit for evening. Also should do well in weather. Very pleased! Please make in other colors.

These boots are a great combination of style and comfort. Plus, they are a style that can be dressed up or down. I've worn them with jeans and also skirts w/ tights. The heel height is such that it is comfortable but still stylish. Love these boots.

Very comfortable!!! Like walking on clouds and love that they do not make any sound. Does not set the alarm they airport screening!

I am a 9. These fit like a 9. Not skin tight- comfortable. Wore them all day. Zipper is sturdy & leather is soft. Might buy another pair!
