Shoe is 1 size too small and top rubs against my foot. Not enough room and also no cushioning. New Balance has really jumped the shark

Completely different shoe for walking than prior versions. Shoe box is set farther forward from the heel, the shoe box rear surface is slanted forward, and the heel strike area is much less rounded. The older shoes rolled into the foot strike. The new 608V4 shoe hits a corner and slams your foot down without rolling. Not walkable.

After the 1st pair was falling apart (sole was coming off the bottom of the shoe) I contacted customer service and was sent a new pair. Less than 2 months later, the same thing happened. Contacted customer service again and got a refund. Very pleased with Zappo's but not New Balance.

I do not like these shoes. The size was not accurate as compared to other NB shoes I have purchased (these are too large), the laces are too long, and the right shoe will not stay securely tied unless I double tie it (the left shoe does not have this problem). They also lack the graceful style of the NB walkers I used to buy; these things are just clunky looking. I'm tempted to just send them back. Altogether, these shoes just did not measure up to the quality I have come to expect from NB.

These shoes were absolutely awful! I wore them 10 times and my feet felt horrible after each time. I eventually threw them away out of anger. Horrible shoes. Now support, and less cushioning.

My pair was defective, with the right shoe having one side that was higher than the other. Result was that I could not tolerate it for even five minutes, as it immediately caused blisters. Another quality problem can be an uneven foot bed (apparent from other shoes I tried on). Certainly, every pair does not have these problems, but even those without specification errors seem more shoddy than past versions of the 608. And be aware that New Balance does not have the slightest interest in what defects you are experiencing. Buyer beware!

False, it's not "man made upper", it is leather. Search the brand and you'll see.

I echo the above reviewer's comment about the quality of the shoe. The soles started coming of in large places after one year. I will be trying another brand.

These are pure garbage! I bought two pairs and within a month, the upper started to separate from the sole. I called New Balance and they said "If you mail them to us, we will have a look at them and determine if it is defective or not." Like I am going to spend more money on shipping just for them to say "We do not think that is was defective." I will say that these were the best fitting shoes that I have had in a long time but definitely not the most comfortable. Bottom line is that New Balance might be popular but the brand is cheaply made garbage sold for a ridiculously high price. I am never going to buy New Balance again. Like always, Zappos is a first class business with great customer service.
