People were saying in their reviews that these run big. I have a narrow foot with a high arch but have been able to wear 8 and 8.5 medium width if the shoe comes with a good insole. If I wear narrow, I’m a 9N. With most 8.5 medium shoes, I add an additional or thicker insole. With all that said, I ordered these in a size 8 and they fit fine. I walked in them the other day for 2 hours but after an hour, they started losing their comfort. The tongue on the right shoe kept going to the side and bothering the top of my foot. And my toes kept hitting the front of the boot after an hour, and I wasn’t wearing thick socks. So maybe I do need an 8.5 but I feel they would be too big/wide at that size, although maybe one of my thicker insoles would make a larger size more comfortable?

Zappos recommended a 1/2 size smaller and narrower than my usual size for this pair of boots. Foolishly, I ignored their recommendation and got my usual size and width, which was too big. I exchanged these for the recommended size and they fit perfectly. They are really comfortable once on my feet. Getting the boots on is a little challenging and the zipper is not enough for me. However, the fact that the boots have both laces and zipper were deciding factors in purchasing them, because I knew it was likely for me to have this difficulty. I've worn them a couple of times for long foraging expeditions in swampy areas and they kept my feet nice and dry as well as comfortable.

Love the red! Wish it were matched with gray instead of brown, but they still look great. Fit well; in fact I rarely tie them, just use the zipper (I put ortho supports in, so that takes up some room). Not as comfortable as my Keen or Sketchers, but good for about 30 min walk, and great for puddles and slush.

These are my second pair of Sperry rain boots. I loved my first pair so much! They looked good, wore good, and protected my feet from getting wet in rain and snow, but I wore them so much that they started to come apart. I came here to get a replacement pair and was a little disappointed that my previous “functional” Sperry rain boots (simple straight laces and basic lace-up styling) had been replaced by “fashionable” Sperry rain boots (with twisties at the ends of the laces and side zippers.) I thought I’d give them a shot though since I’d had such a good relationship with my previous Sperry’s. I read the reviews before i bought these, so I was aware that some people said these boots are difficult to get on their feet. I want to say that I did not have a difficult time getting these new boots on my feet. They do have a side zipper, which basically makes the section with the laces non-functional (unless you want to undo the twisties at the ends of the laces that are so fashionable). So that does cause you to have to use two hands to pull these boots on. No big deal! If you are looking for fashionable rain boots, these are perfect in my opinion.

I really like these boots but...... The seven just fit with no socks but was very hard to get on over my heel. I then ordered a 7 1/2....this was way too big and i still had trouble getting the boot over my heel.

I ordered an 8 should have gotten a 7 1/2 but I am going to keep them .. great boots !

Perfect boot for spring or fall in Upper Michigan!

Love these for the rain in fall or late spring, into summer. They aren’t warm enough for winter.

These were ok, but I prefer a boot that actually laces instead of zips--just an authenticity thing for me. I ended up returning these for a pair with functional laces, and I actually somewhat regret it as they are a bear to get on! These seemed to have a good level of water resistance and were cute overall.

I always get 10w and with these I had to get 9.5M. These are very comfortable. I got these on a friend’s recommendation after trying the LLBean version and finding them so uncomfortable I couldn’t imagine walking even half a block. Others I tried in this brand were just as awful as the Beans, but there are great.

They are true to size (maybe slightly on the larger end since I'm between a 10 and 10.5 and the 10 fit well). They're really cute, comfy and warm but I can't comment on the waterproofing yet. They seem like they'll be good for snow and slush in the city, while still being walk-able unlike my tall rubber rainboots and bigger snow boots for huge snowstorms. I like them!

Have had this style for years, and wanted to replace. New ones are about half a size shorter, and zipper is also shorter. Too hard to get onto my foot. Will return and buy the L L Bean boots.

I ordered these in my normal size (Women's 8) in the brown colorway. As a few have noted, they aren't the most attractive boot, but they are functional. I walk to work year-round in Seattle and these get me through the fall and winter months of gross weather. They are a bit loose around the ankle area, so there's definitely enough room to wear thicker/warmer socks in the winter. I'm not in love with the leather laces. They come tied as shown, but make the fit very loose. If you try to actually tie them, the leather laces do not stay tied. I wish they came with an alternate lace option. I have worn these for one winter (last year) and have just started wearing them again. I have noticed that the stitching is coming apart on the leather, which I will not be able to fix (since I don't have anything that can successfully stitch through leather). This is frustrating, as a $100 pair of boots should last longer than one season.

After ordering a 9.5 W initially it was too wide so I asked to go to a 9M and the rep suggested I get a 9.5 M. Just got them today and unfortunately they don’t fit ...even with thick wool socks they are still too big. I wear. 9.5 normally but a true 9M would have been the way to go but frustrated and so returning and getting my refund.

The boots looked great but, like another reviewer, I found that the zipper didn't go down far enough and I couldn't get my foot in the opening. They had to go back without even trying them on.

I use these for barn shoes I love them because they are slip on, keep my feet dry and are comfortable. After 2 years of wearing them daily the tread is running bare. That's the only thing I wish about Sperry's, I wish they had deeper more long lasting treads. Overall, these boots have held up nicely over the years so I'm happy with my purchase. I have wide feet and they felt roomy and true to size.

I’ve always wanted a pair of these exact boots, but it seemed that my size was never available in this color combination. Finally landed them and I could not be happier! Their arrival coincided with days of endless rainfall, so I’ve worn them several times already. Fit is perfect (nice room in the toe area), they are very comfortable (even with just a thin sock) and I was pleasantly surprised by the handy zipper on the side. Easy on, easy off!

Dear Sperry, Please NEVER discontinue this boot! I love it. This is my second pair - I had the first for years and wore them out. They held up really well to a lot of heavy use, so I ordered another pair. They are comfortable, cute, and easy to slip on/off. I love them so much! Order them - you will not be disappointed!
