This was my eighth pair of Maryjane style shoes that I tried. Thank you for your patience, Zappos! Yay! These shoes are wonderful. They are made of the softest leather and so comfortable. I have a bunion that challenges my shoe selections, but the Romika was perfect. I ordered the 38 and the 39 since I wasn't sure about the size. I'm usually a 7.5-8 and I ended up keeping the 38 (7-7.5) My experience is that the shoe runs a bit large. I will definitely be looking into other Romika styles in the future! Once again, I have to thank Zappos for their flexible purchase policy and the ease of returning products that don't fit the bill!

Amazing shoes! I have a hard time finding comfortable shoes that also look good on my puffy feet. These were just great right out of the box and so flattering! The design really makes my feet look thinner. The only change I would make is a bit more padding under the ball of the foot, but I can (and will) add that. We will be traveling in Europe shortly and walking a lot, so I needed something that didn't scream "American", but that was comfortable. I do believe I've found it.

I'm so thrilled with these shoes - they're like a hug for my feet! I have plantar fasciitis and generally sore feet, and these shoes help to relieve my discomfort with support in all the right places. I find them to be stylish with the "button" on the side (Velcro closing) and an attractive v-line cut in the front. I'm going to order another pair just to hoard them for when these wear out!

If you need very comfortable shoes with good support, I cannot recommend these shoes enough. The soles are very cushy and the construction of the shoe itself is very soft and pliable. I have a very difficult time finding shoes that don't bother me in one way or another. These are a pleasure to wear. By the way, this shoe is also made in a very, rich dark brown.

I LOVE my new Romika Citylight 87 shoes. This is my first Zappos purchase and my first Romika purchase. I am a flight attendant and on my feel for hours on end. I have a hammertoe that needs some surgery and after getting these shoes, I'm seriously thinking about waiting for the surgery because they don't hurt very much at all when I wear these shoes (as compared with my last pair of Clarks...which I really liked...). I wish I could wear heels but a can't. But these are nicely fashionable and work very well for me. I ordered two different pairs of shoes and returned one because I wasn't sure which one I would like the best. Zappos makes returns easier than anyone! I'm a new happy customer!

I would have loved to have been able to keep these shoes, but despite other folks mentioning a wide toe box, the toe box wasn't really wide enough for me. And there's no wide width option.

Sorry to return...I loved this shoe, but the bottom of the shoe has the name of the company in the tread, and for some reason makes every step Squeak! on wood and tile floors.

I typically wear an 8 1/2 medium, and the 40 is just a little bit big, BUT with the Velcro strap I was able to adjust for both thick socks and bare feet. I love the flexibility! Heels tend to slip on me, but so far, these seem to stay put. I love the style and comfort — great-looking shoes that I’ll be able to dress up or down, and to walk around in without thinking about them. So far, so great!

Great shoe, comfortable and love the style!

It took a while to find a shoe that would work for long days of city walking in Europe and also be suitable for dressing for dinner. This was my fourth pair, but I finally found a comfortable and good looking shoe with a thick enough sole to absorb walking on cobblestone streets and stone stairs. Whew, it was a relief to find this in time for my trip and I am ever-grateful for Zappos return policy.

In the past Romika has always constructed high quality shoes but these shoes are made very poorly with uneven stitching, gaping leather sides, and ripples in the leather. Completely unacceptable. Zero stars

I tried these shoes because my favorite sandals are Romikas. Unfortunately, the soles and footbed of this shoe are different and feel less supportive, especially in the arch. The style of the shoe is cute, though. I would have kept the pair if it had felt more supportive to me. It would be comfortable if I didn't have to stand a walk a lot at work.

Good-looking Mary-Jane. But I have medium-width toes and a narrow heel. Most mediums fit me fine, but I found this shoe narrower than most mediums.

Very comfortable. Great for all day wear. Wore to a trade show on feet all day. All think looks very stylish in a Mary Jane. It's not a huge toe box so that keeps it looking sleek.

I am 6' tall and wear size 11--those of you with me know the struggle to find shoes to even try on in a store, let alone like on my feet. My job as a high school teacher keeps me on my feet all day. This is year two with these shoes (same pair) and they are still beautiful and comfortable. I have a couple other expensive pairs of shoes (Naot) but prefer the look and fit of Romika, especially with dressier slacks. The only complaint is that the finish has rubbed off on the "stone" at the Velcro closure. These are so worth it.

I love this shoe! I have issues with my feet and have trouble finding shoes that feel good and also look good. These are great! I'd buy more colors if they were available but the black and the brown will take me where I want to go in comfort.

This is actually the second pair of this style I've purchased, this time in brown. I still love them, but I think it's important to note that on both pair, black and brown, the paint on the side button wears/peels/scratches off, leaving the metal showing. I've tried to paint over them, but that scratches off as well. I love these shoes so much that I don't even care, but you may. Not sure if they receive any other complaints about this issue, but if they do perhaps they'll find something else to make the buttons out of.

Comfortable from the start! Able to wear and walk all day in comfort. Thrilled with this purchase.

The quality of this shoe is excellent. Well made, soft leather. The shoe itself is stitched together but it is glued to the footbed, not stitched. Other reviews stated that this shoe ran small so I ordered the next size up and my foot swam in it. I had a good inch behind my heel. I will try my normal size and see if it fits.

I ordered a 7.5 and they fit really well. However where the strap start on the inside of my foot really hurt. I think it's the structure of my foot so might not be an issue for others. I really wish they worked for me because they're really cute and comfortable and exactly what I was looking for. I'll be returning them.

Shoe is cute but unfortunately way too big. I normally order a 39, but I was swimming in these. sorry I have to return them.

Quite comfortable. I have to put my own orthotics in, which would have worked fine, I think. They are a little too shiny for what i wanted and they look a little more "wrinkly" than I would like.

The podiatrist recommended these after finding out that I have a stress fracture in my sesamoid bone in my foot (I didn't even know what a sesamoid bone was until I fractured it) This shoe offers support and is comfortable. This is the best of the styles available of the comfortable shoes that I found available. It's a bit old-fashioned, but it looks good with slacks.

These shoes were very comfortable out of the box. They are stylish and look good on my feet. Sizing is always a bit of a challenge with the european sizes. I have other pairs of Romika's in size 38 and these I bought in size 40. I can't speak to how well they'll hold up yet, but I look forward to them being one of my work "go to" shoes.
