I really like how these shoes look on other people. But I had to buy a wide because of my high instep. The shoe is really too wide for me especially from the middle of the shoe back to end of the heel. They look like I'm wearing shoes that are too big for me but at least they don't fall off and they don't cause pain in the tops of my feet like the medium width did or pain in the bottoms of my feet like the original very hard bottomed original professionals did. The bottoms of my pants sometimes get caught in the back of the shoe when I walk. Unfortunately it was the most decent looking non-flat shoe I could find with some arch support for going slightly dressy. So I'm going to keep them. Also cause my hip pain to flare up when I wear them but okay with plantar fasciitis at least if I don't wear them often. I don't know if it's because of the heavy weight of the shoe or because the Vionics I usually wear have better arch support for my high-arched feet. Needless to say, they're not my "go to" shoes.

Decided to try the XP line because I was intrigued by the removable, memory foam footbed. I had never had any problems with the regular professional line, but I wanted to make sure I wasn't missing out on something even better. Initially, I really appreciated the extra soft padding. However, because I work long shifts, I started to notice that the arch support just wasn't the same as the regular professional line. I've struggled with plantar fasciitis for several years, but as long as I have appropriate arch support for my entire shift, I don't feel a thing. The memory foam footbed is nice at the beginning of the day, but at the end of the day, I can tell that the arch support has diminished. My plantar fasciitis is now bothering me again and I was forced to purchase another pair of clogs, but this time just a pair in the regular professional line. I plan to wear the XP pair at the beginning of my shift, and the switch to the other pair for the last half of the shift. Side note: don't hesitate to buy wide width if you have even a slightly wide foot; wide width is so much more comfortable than regular width.

These provide amazing support. I work in a hospital and stand in operating rooms, and these have been wonderful. One problem I have with these is finding an appropriate size. I feel like I am in between two sizes, but Dansko does not make them in half sizes. Also, the top of my foot sometimes hurts, but I am not sure if it is due to the larger size that I had to order.
Be careful when you are first walking in these shoes as I twisted my ankles a few times. It takes a little getting used to walking up that high and with a heavy clog, especially on stairs!

I ordered both the Dansko Pro XP Professional and the original Professional to try them both out and ended up sending the original Professional back since it didn't come in a wide width. The Pro XP really does keep your feet from getting sore, even if you're on them all day like I am. Only downside is I don't like that my heel slips in and out of them as I walk (even though they're supposed to) and something about the shape of the sole has made me trip and stumble more than a few times. Usually it catches on the side so that I nearly sprain my ankle. Really wish it didn't do that.

I bought Dansko Sophie and love them so I wanted to try the closed clog. I wanted to love these clogs. I ordered a 36M and a 36W. The 36M fit in the length but after a few hours of wear in the house they started to dig into the top of my foot. Then tried the 36W. This did not dig into the tops of my feet but instead were a tad too short in the front and my toes rubbed. I think they are great looking and well made but need to return. Larger size will be way to large for me but will give it a shot and hope to be surprised. Zappos makes returns and exchanges very easy.

Bought these for work shoes for my daughter. She loves them. We bought her normal size and had to send them back because they were too large.

Truly comfortable work shoes! I am on my feet for at least 8 hours every work day. I need a shoe that fits well, not tight and definitely not sloppy or loose. I also need a shoe that gives good support during those 8 hours. This shoe is the one for me. I did have to go 1/2 size smaller than usual for a good fit. It is important to know that the heel should not be snug, in fact it should move up and down a little as one walks. My only reservation is that I almost turned my ankle while making a quick turn in these. But I am still wearing them to work every day and my feet are delighted!

I serve at a restaurant and these are very good. Only problem: I wouldn't consider my feet wide, but the right shoe fits a little snug. The "big toe mound" tends to hurt after wearing them all shift long. I'll have them stretched. I can't wear them with a dress, either. Looks too goofy. That said, these are very comfortable, and my co-workers all swear by them.

I need to replace my old professionals, which I've had for at least ten years and treated badly -- they're my foul weather shoes, and this winter in particular there's been plenty of foul weather. I saw these XP professionals and that they come in wide, so I ordered them. The XP have a wonderful footbed, a little softer than the Professional, and a great tread. But these things are boats. Not just wide but long. So as much as I like the footbed, I'm just going with a pair of the regular Professionals. Worth the break-in period. These aren't stylish but they'll stand up to just about anything.

This shoe is so comfortable from the first moment on. It is much roomier than the regular Professional. I really wish the XP-type sizing (more instep room) could be extended to other styles or at the least have more colors like cognac. Having the wider width helps with the tightness in the instep. Would be nice to have possibility of a more stylish toe box...like on the Prima or Tamara. I need the XP fit over the instep.

I love Danskos enough to repeatedly buy them even though I am troubled by inconsistent fit and quality. I bought a pair of these XP professional clogs in May 2014 so it has been over a year and the support and comfort is still there but the uppers are really bad. I have never experienced this with a pair of Danskos before. The "leather" is peeling off both shoes, definitely not up to the standards I have for a $140 pair of shoes. For reference I only wear these at a part time (10 hours per week) hospitality job.

I have worn Dansko's for a number of years, but I think they must have changed how they manufacture the shows. This pair (and another pair I ordered back in November) are not nearly as comfortable as ones I have purchased a few years ago. The main problem with this pair is that the shoes injured my baby toes on both feet. Whether I wore socks or not, my toes blistered very severely. Blister protection could not put a dent in the pain I experienced wearing these shoes.

I bought these shoes to save my lower back and feet from the pain that would inevitably come from being up and down and walking around all day. Though they didn't aggravate my lower back problems and they kept my feet from hurting while I wore them, they ended up killing my feet once I took the shoes off. The problem is that they immobilize your feet so they won't hurt while you're wearing them, but then once you take them off, your feet are stiff from not flexing and moving naturally. I would end up limping every time I got up to walk in bare feet at home. I no longer wear these shoes and my feet are healthier and happier for it.

I don't know what Dansko did but these pro xp shoes are not as comfortable as the ones I bought about a year ago. These feel more narrow & they have less cushion. I feel like I am walking on a block of wood. After being on my feet for 4 hours in a busy pediatric office my feet are screaming "take them off." I put my old shoes on & can wear them all day with no problem.

These shoes are very easy to use but they give you a really bad smell. I do not know why but I do not recommend them to be used.

So I bought these to see what all of the hype was about. At work I walk a lot and sit for quite a while too. They do their job. I went with the xp for the extra cushioning. I have slight plantar fasciitis in my right foot and when I wear these shoes, I can't really feel it. I have a wide foot and I thought that the regular width would have worked because the toe box is so roomy, but I wish I would have bought the wide version. My toes have enough space, but the widest part of my foot does not have enough space. A few complaints: I think I'm getting a callous on the top of my foot where my big toe ends. It's because the top of the shoe is so hard and it always hits the roof of my foot. Same with the outer parts of my foot below my little toes (the widest part of my foot) -- I'm getting a callous there too. I wish the shoe was softer on the inside top of the shoe. This would have been fixed if I got a bigger size in the shoe so I could wear fluffy socks. All in all, I just ordered some Asics running shoes because I needed running shoes and I'm sure they will treat my feet better than these Danskos.

I had purchased the 40 w and they were too roomy so I purchased the 39 wide but were too narrow. My feet are not working out w the xp. Very sad!

I bought a pair of Dansko Pro XPs less than a year ago. Let me start off by saying they are the most comfortable show I've worn in the kitchen yet. There was near instant relief of various foot pains that had been bothering me for a while. Typical Dansko style - very functional, looks fine at work. I had to switch from a 42 to a 41 in size, but no big deal there. However, there are a few drawbacks. The non-slip sole is different from the traditional Dansko sole. In the kitchen, it tends to get crammed full of detritus, nullifying the non-slip properties and turning into a curling slide shoe. The tread also wears down rather quickly. And the uppers have both developed holes in the crease over the toes. Basically, these shoes feel great but don't last very long. I've had them less than a year and they're done. Granted, I'm on my feet all day every day in a busy kitchen, but still, I think I should get at least a year's wear out of a pair of clogs. But even saying all this, I'm still debating getting a new pair just because they're so damn comfortable. We'll see.

Not the same fit as their original Professional clogs. Narrower in toebox and across the foot. Felt smaller overall as well. I think this is due to the added removable footbed. I was really wanting to upgrade to these because of the non-slip soles, but I just cannot get accustomed to the new fit. Overall, fans of the original Professionals will likely want to continue with the original.

I love these shoes for work; however, a womens 43 is definitely not a size 12.5-13! Very small fitting compared to my last pair! Sending them back and will try other brands.

These are very nice clog shoes, however, the size runs big. I purchased these shoes because I need durable shoes to attach a portable leg brace to. Because of the brace I had to get half a size larger than what I normally wear. The shoes fit perfectly for the left foot with the leg brace, but the right shoe is way too big. My foot flip flops in the shoe. These shoes are also very heavy and I wear them for a brief period of time because of their weight. The shoes are very durable, nice leather, nice non slip bottom. I really like the shoes I just wish the shoe size fit both feet. I am now ordering another pair half a size smaller so I can wear the pair. It turns out that I need a size 8 for the shoe with the brace attached, and a size 7½ for the right foot, then I will have a nice pair!

Not quite wide enough for me, despite the fact that I bought the wide ones. Also the upper ridge dug into the top of my foot. Foot bed cushion was very comfortable though.

Do not buy the new XP! Quality is nowhere near as good as all other Danskos. These started falling apart 6 months in. The stitching has unraveled almost completely, not like the former stapled version. Dansko refers buyer to Zappos to honor their craftsmanship guarantee and refund or replace the shoe, however Zappos does not follow thru with this. $$$ wasted

I have worn Danskos for years, and must say that I am quite surprised and disappointed at the Pro XP Professional.(Black Patent) I am on my feet for at least 9 hours a day, usually on concrete or retail flooring which is not easy on one's feet. The inserts that were supposed to be fantastic were not. They offered no support for high arches, and really offered no additional comfort what so ever. The slip resistant bases are not as slip resistant as I had hoped and felt as if I should walk with caution as if I did not have slip resistant shoes on at all. Another note of interest with the soles is that they wore away very quickly. The black patent, which was one of my favorite little perks started peeling within 1 month of use.
I am returning these shoes with just 4 months of use. As I stated earlier, I have been a Dansko customer for years, and as a matter of fact have pairs as old as 7 years old and they are all in good shape...what has happened to the Dansko I knew and loved?

This shoe was incredibly disappointing. I am the type of person who likes shoes to be comfortable right straight out of the box. I decided to try these based on the reviews of people who stood on their feet for long hours. I could not imagine trying to wear these for any length of time based on their rigidness and lack of cushioning. The bottoms are completely smooth so there is a tendency for your foot to slide about if it is not snug and I don't like wearing shoes that fit so tightly lengthwise. I ordered the wide and it felt like my foot was swimming in it even though I tried it on at the end of the day. It does seem to run true to size because I ordered a size up and it was only a little bit bigger, though I am not sure if this was because I ordered it wide width. Also, not sure if it was just a defect to my pair but the arches were uneven.
