Mephisto Corporate gets NO STARS for product service. This shoe is comfortable and cute, but the fashion lace broke and Mephisto does not carry them and made no effort to help me. Acted as if my request was in left field. You can find similar laces on the internet but not exact. Not the service you would expect from a high end shoe company that offers a resole service! Mephisto, don't make a fashion shoe if you can't back it up with product service. I have two other pairs of Mephistos but will think before I ever buy from this company again.

I could not be more happy with this purchase! I am a pharmacist and work 10.5 hour shifts on my feet, so comfort is key for me. However, I also have to wear business casual attire and am fashion conscious so these shoes were worth every penny. I was concerned to wear them an entire shift until they were “broken in”, but I was able to wear them for 11 hours and could have easily gone longer on my first use. My ankles and heels are often sore after shifts from lack of support in my usual loafers, but my feet felt better than they have in months after the first use! I cannot day enough about these shoes!!!

It's a good shoe. I have the taupe color, which is nice and neutral with a bit of shine. It has good "bouncability" when walking. The only thing I do not like is the white laces, and that is fixable. It should become more comfy in time as it has decent cushion. The leather lining is particularly a strong asset. I was not fond of the other colors with all of the different materials, this is simpler and better for day to day wear.

The Mephisto Yael is the absolute best walking shoe EVER! I bought 2 colors, and am hoping more will come back into stock. I am on my feet, standing, walking, and climbing stairs in these- no back ache! This shoe is expensive, but my back is worth it.

These shoes were very comfortable right out of the box. I wore them almost every day on a 10-day trip to France in terrain ranging from cobblestones to bike paths. Unfortunately, the spaces between the shiny sections of the mottled or crackly finish of the silver shoes are impossible to clean and they are unwearable now for anything but very casual use.

Just arrived today...love them. Soft leather and very comfy. I have "sensitive" feet that need support and comfort, and these fit the bill. I wanted a stylish sneaker style that didn't look too clunky...these are perfect. This is a sneaker with a "slim" look. Fit was great...I ordered a 6 which is my usual for a sneaker and it works well. There is a removable innersole so you can add an orthotic; very comfortable without it but I will probably add it for a little more arch support. Love the color (I got the Dark Taupe Monaco/Bronze Magic and it is a lovely metallic taupe.) I have bought a couple other options for a stylish sneaker; the others are being returned because this is the clear winner.

VERY good looking shoes... lightweight and good quality. Sorry I have to return them as they are a bit tight in the toes for me.

I have two pairs of the Yael in shiny taupe, both from when they were made with black soles. I do wish they would go back to that color combination: I find white soles to be very impractical, and I think the one with black soles are better-looking as well. I love the fit and comfort of the shoe and have logged many miles in both pairs. I would love to get new ones, but I don't want black uppers, or white soles.

I was looking for a comfortable shoe to wear for city sightseeing that also would be stylish enough to wear to a restaurant for dinner. I purchased these in the black pearl calfskin and they are perfect for what I was looking for. They are well-cushioned for city walking, easy to get on and off, lighter than air, and lack any big logos that would call attention to them in a nice restaurant. To break them in, I have worn them to work for 2 straight 10 hour days; not only have they been comfortable, I have received compliments on them - even from some of the guys I work with! Although they are quite comfortable as they are, I have a "low-volume" foot (low arch and a shallow instep), so there is a little slop in the fit for my peculiar feet. As is usual for most shoes I purchase, I will add a thin insert to fill up the gaps. I am very pleased with these shoes!

I bought these shoes for a trip I have yet to take and wanted to test drive them before I go. So, I wore them straight from the box yesterday, with a thin sock, for 4 miles and lots of standing in-between over pebbled paths, concrete, pine needles and a dirt road. They are extremely comfortable. I love the fact they are not bulky and make my feet look more narrow than they actually are. I love this shoe and recommend.

Tell Maphisto they made a mistake putting white laces in Yael Dark Taupe Monaco. I love this shoe and am keeping it because I have the Taupe laces left from an earlier pair of Taupe Yael style. They look sharp with the matching laces and cheap and common with the white laces.

These shoes are the best!! I have arthritis in my feet which makes wearing many shoes uncomfortable. I got these for a two week trip to France and walked and walked - city streets in Paris and cobblestone villages in Provence - 10,000 steps or more each day. And miraculously, my feet were comfortable in these shoes from the first day I put them on and stayed comfortable. These shoes are worth every penny.

I have bought this model for years. I have 5 or 6 pair of them. Due to foot and ankle problems it’s the only shoe that fits comfortably. I love this shoe. Only problem. They don’t have replacement shoe laces. Hard to find the size

Wore these non-stop on a trip to Europe with lots of walking; my arthritic feet were fine, thanks to these shoes.

Beautiful shoe, but I am returning because the heel slips up and down when I walk.

This is my fifth Mephisto pair of shoes. When there was no snow on the ground, I used them. The shoes got wet and dried fine. The shoes got mud and dirt on them. The shoes dried and then I brushed them off. i would prefer more leather options instead of suede. I have done short jogs in these shoes too. But the biggest problem is that my mephistos don’t wear out. ??

There is a sparkly trim on this shoe which made them too glitzy for me. Otherwise they are very pretty. Never tried them on.

These are extremely comfortable shoes. I have narrow heals and these fit perfectly. I usually wear custom inserts but I don't need them with these shoes.They are very attractive shoes. Very happy with my purchase. Worth every penny.

I bought these after reading the reviews on how comfortable they are out of box. I'm not disappointed. This is way more than I would usually spend on sporty shoes, but these can also be worn with dressed up athleisure wear. Absolutely love them and will be buying in a different style.

Love these shoes. My podiatrist recommended this shoe for my very narrow feet -- 7AAAA! I have a Morton's Neuroma on my right foot and need a large toe box. However, I have a very narrow heel. Imagine my surprise when the shoe actual fit bad was very constable to walk in! I'll be taking these fashionable shoes to Europe for a two week walk-around!

The shoe is gorgeous, but seems to run a bit small. My feet are wide and it was just too narrow.

These shoes are phenomenally light and comfortable, although I've only worn them in the house so far. I expect they will be great for traveling/walking.

Comfortable right out of the box. But because I have janky feet, I had to do some insole adjustments. I got this in the silver leather and it's cute, not too shiny. Made my size 10 1/2 feet look small, no small feat....pun intended.

I love these shoes and this brand. They are attractive to look at, super comfortable, and light weight. I have problems walking and these are the best shoes for me!

I purchased these shoes for a trip to Europe and was not disappointed! I inserted my prescription inserts and walked everywhere in them, in total comfort. Highly recommend.
