I use this primary as a work briefcase. While it is cavernous and holds a lot of stuff, in my opinion it has too many compartments, which makes locating things challenging. There are 4 of them, 3 full length, and one a a small essentials/eye glasses one on the top. All the full-length large compartment zippers are close to each other and often I grab the wrong one and open the wrong compartment. On the front of the pack, I have an open mesh stow it pocket that is is fairly loose and has not much elastic. Good for possible stuffing a thin rain jacked or hat, but nothing small and not stuffable that you want to make sure is well secured. Finally, the "compression" straps are more a poor feature than useful one. There is really no need for them and the are positioned so that the strap crosses both large main compartment zippers making them to unzip. You either have to unzip under the straps or undo the straps. Finally the two side mesh water battle pockets are only good for small water bottles (12 ounce). Put a 16 ounce or large and the mesh "pockets" really don't work well and the bottles often fall out if you pick the pack up with them in it. Of all the Osprey packs I have owned, this was the most disappointing. I think there are better options from both Osprey and other manufacturers for this type of pack.

I just discovered the lifetime warranty. I'd like to send this hardly used pack for a trade of something without the same sternum strap mechanism.

While I want to love this bag as the size and pocket arrangement on this bag are great, the quality of the material used is very poor. After a few months use, the mesh at the bottom of the back started wearing through to the padding and continues to worsen. Most of the string tags on the zips have also fallen off.

I bought this specifically to hold a 17" laptop. It would fit a 15", bu not more than that.

Overall the pack seemed nice. I intended to use the pack as a casual commuter pack and for short travel/carry on, however, I decided to return it because the overall frame size was just too small for a 6'4" tall guy. I would probably give the pack 3 stars, but due to the terrible customer service I received, it's getting a 1 star.
