I really like this pack. The color is nice, it's roomy, well-designed and comfortable even when loaded up with my laptop, a few books, several notepads, gym clothes and all my other crud. The shoulder straps are nicely padded, actually fit my frame well and don't dig in. The two side pockets are deep and stretchy, so will fit several different sizes of water bottle nicely. The handle on the front is an ok idea, but I've never once used it. If there was another stretchy pocket on the front that could fit gloves and a scarf, it might be a better use of the front panel space (for me at least).

I was looking for a new bag for my laptop, but I wanted it to be my go-to bag for general use. I needed something with a sternum strap and plenty of storage. The more I use it, the more I love it. In fact, the only thing that would make me love this bag more is if it came loaded with chocolate. Not a bad idea.... The laptop compartment is easy in, easy out. The main compartment is roomier than it looks. The front pocket has plenty of compartments for organization, which is great for all my laptop accessories. The side pockets fit my 20-oz nalgene and a travel mug, and the straps for snugging up are perfect. I've never had an issue with stuff coming out of the side pockets. But my favorite pocket is the sunglasses pocket. It's perfect for sunglasses, but I love using it for my kids snacks -- they never get smashed up like they do in the bottom of my other bags. It's fabulous. I love the zipper pulls, which are standard on all the Osprey bags I've seen. A couple of them were broken when the bag arrived, and customer service sent me new ones, no problem. It's my first Osprey, and I love it. I did a lot of research before choosing a bag, and this one has exceeded my expectations. Lifetime warranty never hurts, either.

Most of us have owned a backpack since we were kids. I have purchased many versions of the standard backpack over the years, and I am most pleased with this Osprey Celeste. It is a sturdy backpack, colorful, comfortable and filled with many interior spaces for storing all sorts of items. Solid purchase!

I have had this backpack for a year and a half, and I still love it. I am able to carry an impressive number of books, a laptop, athletic gear, and various other scholarly knick-knacks on a daily basis. It is pretty water-resistant and incredibly easy to keep clean and nice-looking. Definitely worth every penny.

I've always used hiking-esque bags for day to day use and travel but I'd never had an Osprey bag. My mom decided to switch it up and bought me this Osprey and I love it and will likely continue to by from here. It's extremely comfortable to carry around while I'm traveling, but it's also great for day to day use. It's not too big so that I'm knocking people on the train, but I can also fit a few days worth of clothes and a couple pairs of shoes when I travel without a problem. It's also great in the rain--I've never had a problem with the inside getting wet. The one problem I've had is 2 of my zipper pulls have come off and I can't get them back on. It would also be nice if I could tighten the shoulder straps a little more to fit better on my back. I definitely think I'll have this bag for the next several years.

I have used this backpack for almost 4 years and love all of the features, particularly the handle on the back. But after the first two years, the zipper lining started peeling away and it looks like it rotted (also happened to 2 of my friends who have identical backpacks). So I can't use the backpack in professional settings but now I just use it as a a school/gear bag. It works well, I'm just bummed that it shows wear so quickly after normal use.

I've had this bag for almost 2.5 years now. I use it my work bag as I commute often with my laptop. I have also used it on day hikes and a couple of two week holidays as my main bag. In general, I am satisfied with this bag and would buy Osprey again but there are a couple of issues Pros: * The bag holds a lot and the material stretches to accomodate things from laptop, shoes, clothing, books, whatever. * The weight seems well distributed as well so while it is heavy, I haven't had too many issues * I like that the bag does seem designed for women as I have small shoulders but when strapped in, don't feel like the bag is falling off * Material seems fairly durable * Overall good value Cons: * The zipper toggles have unraveled especially in the interior pockets and I've lost a couple of them too. Wish these had more durable options * The water proof lining on the laptop slot zipper is peeling off; as a result, I've become careful with putting a laptop there when it's raining * The strap and shoulder material is uncomfortable when you are wearing only one layer as mentioned by another review The size is perfect for people who carry a lot during their work or school week and for multi-day trips in cities, but I wouldn't really take this for hikes. It's definitely not a true adventurer backpack, but perfect for the mix of urban and travel.

Great backpack for a small lady or kid in school. Durable with one flaw. The side pockets sag and within a year are torn. I am not worried as Osprey with their All Mighty Warranty will take care of it. Love Osprey!

Overall I really like this backpack. I bought it to use on my commute to work in downtown Chicago. I needed something that would hold a heavy laptop, lunch bag, shoes, umbrella, coffee thermos, and an extra jacket (I know, that's a lot of stuff!) - all without feeling too heavy or hurting my already injured back. It almost always holds everything I need. The waist strap is great for extra heavy loads and keeps the weight on my hips instead of my back. The two main compartments are key for capacity and organization. However, there is one major design flaw that drives me crazy - the zipper pulls! They are long and easy to grab, but if you have to pull with any amount of force on them, one side of the cord slips through the crack in the metal part of the zipper. I'm legitimately concerned I'm going to lose a pull cord this way. For such a well known pack manufacturer, I expected all of the elements to be great. I'm keeping the bag, but hoping they'll fix the zipper pull issue in future models.

Bought to use for long distance traveling as carry on. Very light weight and comfortable straps. Only wished there were other color options than the ones available.

I love this bag. It is super comfortable and offers support and straps such that my neck and back don't hurt with heavier loads. I love flying with this pack and mostly use it for business (laptop bag). I have had the pack for less than a year and noticed that the waterproofing material on the zipper of the laptop pocket is turning yellow and rubbing off. I am trying to send the pack in for repair. The material issue and loose water bottle pockets is the only criticism I have for this pack.

I use this pack for day hikes, traveling, work. The pack fits well, has plenty of pockets in all the right places. The big downfall is if I wear a tank top or tee shirt- the fabric on the inside of the straps scratches my arms, shoulders, neck. I realize this is supposed to be breathable material but it's very rough and uncomfortable. I have to put some sort of sleeve over the straps to prevent the irritation. If this wasn't the case I would 100% recommend this pack.

This pack has the perfect amount of storage compartments for all your needs. So well designed and in a great color offering. My only grip is the new mesh Osprey is using under the backpack straps feels like rough sand paper against your skin. If you are using this pack in a warm climate and wearing a tank top you will for sure have a skin rash from the sand paper mesh!!!! I kept the bag as it suits my needs so well....but I have to wear t-shirts instead of tanks when wearing the pack to avoid the discomfort from the sand paper mesh. If you live in a hot climate you might want to reconsider this packs strap comfort. Its so disappointing because Osprey used to use a smoother mesh that felt comfortable against your skin in all their past backpacks. I have an old commuter pack that is so much more comfortable but with less compartment offerings.
