I wanted to love these, but I didn't notice at first that they were only offered in a narrow - what a difference that makes! I tried a size bigger than I normally wear in Birks, but they were still uncomfortable. There didn't seem to be enough height in the toebox area. The edge of it cut into the top of my foot in both sizes. It's pretty cute for a Birkenstock and I was really hoping this was going to be my standard fall/winter shoe, but I'll have to keep looking.

The Mantova wasn't comfortable for me because it cut into my medial instep, but I've been told mine is a high instep. I felt my feet looked like Bozo the clown's in these shoes. I'm grateful for the availability of Birkenstock's because I'm convinced their shoes helped resolve my plantar fasciitis. I wanted a "winter weather" Birkenstock, but trying to convince myself that any Birkenstock looks good reminds me of the tale of the King's New Clothes! Okay for comfort wear inside my home but not out in public.

I have a high instep too so I was afraid they wouldn't fit. I got mine yesterday and they fit great! The top is cut down to just over my toes so it doesn't cut into my foot at all. Negative heels are best for my knees after many running injuries so I am really happy!

I am very happy with the Birkenstock Mantova. It is a narrow width, which is perfect for me. I always buy Birkenstock in a narrow. I normally wear a 41 narrow in Birkenstock sandals. I found the 41 narrow Mantova to be a tad short. Exchanged for a 42 narrow, perfect fit! They offer wonderful support & are stylish. Very happy with the Birkenstock Mantova & Zappos!

Not so cute, but makes up for it extreme comfort. Once again, Birkenstock does not disappoint. My feet are happy all day.

I normally wear a 41 in Birkenstocks, but a 41 was too small in this style. In addition, the footbed does not have the raised toe line.

I bought these shoes a year and one half ago. I do believe that the name was different. I think they were then called "Paris." For three weeks, I wore them in Vienna, and three places in Switzerland. I never had a problem. They were so comfortable. I am sorry to hear that that has changed. I was thinking about buying another pair only because my originals were worn out from all the walking that I did. I am so sad.

Runs so large it's comical. I've been a size 7 my whole life and size 37 fit like a 9 with over an inch in front and an extra inch or more of width too. Can't even imagine what my correct size would be. Quality looked fine.

So, I have traded these in once for a smaller size, and I think that I will just be returning the second pair too - because they are massively over-sized. Maybe that is a feature of Birkenstocks, I am not sure, but I will need two sizes down from my normal size to get a pair that fit. I am kind of disappointed, because I was really looking forward to replacing my daily wear shoe with these. They are attractive and seem to be made of quality materials, otherwise.

These shoes are so cute, I wanted to love them. They felt too short in the toes and one of them squeaked when I walked in them.

This Birkenstock was so illfitting it was funny. Maybe it is my feet, but the toes pinched, and the heel went up and down with being so wide in the heel area. It would have been perfect for my hallux ridgedis feet. Strong, firm sole. Lots of toe room if the toe area would not have been tapered so. Basically, the shoe is wide in the heel and narrow in the toes. Strange fit. I really like the style of this shoe.
