Great boot took a few days to break in. But warning if your a welder or do burning don't get these. The mesh on top melts right away. Lesson learned.

I loved the look of these boots but ended up returning them as they didn't offer the comfort I am used to. I work on my feet for 12+ hours a day and these caused knee pain.

Really comfortable, supportive boots.
I typically wear Keen shoes, because they have a wide enough toe-box for me. Thing is, I have a wide foot, wide enough that I cant even slide into the wellington style boots that keen makes. I barely get into these, but I do get in. I wish Keen would use a wider neck on their wellies.
These run a bit narrower, and I just barely squeeze into the Ariat EE wide. Honestly, if the boots weren't so kick-a$$, I would have called them too narrow.
I'm glad I stuck with them, because they are breaking in nicely, and I have had no soreness wearing them all day.
I do wish they would make the "pad" at the top of the heel a little more smooth or slippery. It catches a little on the edge as my sock slides in. In the least, they should have inverted that seam so an entering foot slides over it, rather than catching the lip of the pad. Smooth leather at that one slide-point would be my only wish.
I'd also recommend:

Nice looking boot. I'm usually a 10.5 wide. I can work with an 11 medium (normal width). Ordered an 11 EE wide and it was really narrow. Will return for a new one.

I wear a pair of Ariat boots outside of my job and they are an 11D and a perfect fit. I bought these and ordered an 11D and the fit is about half a size too big. I am having to use inserts to keep from getting blisters however the steel toe and waterproof on these boots is amazing.

Just so you can get a good feel for my feet, a wide in Carhartt boots and a wide in Keens are perfect. The Ariat's hurt when I put my feet in them. I can't imagine a normal size foot in these.

These boots are comfortable to wear but are NOT waterproof. These boots leaked water and soaked my right foot. The dye used in the material stained my foot for a week. I was not in standing water either. The got wet by over spray from a water hose. I would not trust these for any type of chemical resistance.

Been wearing Ariats for 7 years. This pair is by far the worst pair. They're sloppy and loose and have no support.

I bought this boot for my son who is a pipe fitter and needs substantial, but comfortable boots. We ordered the wide for him but it was not really very wide. He said the boot was the most uncomfortable boot he had ever put on, surprising for an Ariat. He said it was stiff and felt like there was no support in the footbed. I am an ARIAT fanatic--even wear Ariats with my dress slacks and suits as a teacher! Never a problem, but evidently, these boots don't meet the comfort and necessary wideness standard.

Purchased these boots in April of 2015. The break-in was pretty rough but once they did (months later) the comfort was great. All day on concrete and no issues. Did have a problem with one fitting tighter than the other when new, an issue I've never had before. The retailer convinced me it was my feet being slightly different..... idk, maybe one grew over night. I just figured it was the rubber on the front and rear being new. So, here we are September of 2016 and the boot is trash. I paid quite a bit more for these than previous boots expecting quite a bit more quality...... Why pay $50 more for a boot that lasts the same amount of time.... Hope this helps!

The boots were great in the beginning but for $215 you'd think the welt wouldn't cracked in 6 different places, and just after the 90 day return policy.

The boot flops around your ankle when you walk. I'm assuming it's due to the slip on nature. Wish I thought about that

If i could just not give a star i will! Those boots are very uncomfortable, besides are labeled as oil and slip resistant but guess what is a big lie! I conctacted ariat ppl and it seems they just don't care about customer satisfaction! So my review for this boots are zero!! Don't buy them !! I work at the oilfied and of course i requiere oil and slip resistant boots and is so bad taking this boots on my hitch and been falling all over because the slip resisitng on this boots are such a lie! I have bought some other models of ariat boots and they work just fine! And i wanted to give it a try to this ones but i don't recommend it at all if you work in the oilfield!

In the store these fit snug. Within a month they were LOOSE and kept getting looser. They would slip off if I run. I've added insoles to help. Grip is horrible, they slip on coolant or light oil on concrete floors, and on hardpack snow (you'd expect this aggressive tread to grip). And the soles just started chunking all over, it looks like I climb over piles of sharp metal, but I don't.
Oh, and they are NOT waterproof. A little snow, it melts and seeps right through. So I wouldn't walk through any puddles.
