Love these shoes! I am a "solid" size 9 and generally order size 40 Birks. These shoes, in a 40, were huge. I settled on a 39, which actually feels fine on one foot (my smaller foot) and a titch small on my larger foot. I am dealing with it as the 40s were impossibly large on both feet. The shoes are cute and comfortable and suit my needs perfectly.

These are very comfortable both for walking and teaching. Was happy to find narrow size. Replaced my very old pair which finally gave up the ghost. Have always loved Birkies and was pleased to see still made in Germany.

I love these shoes. I bought both the brown and black and was able to wear both pairs out of the box (no breaking in period). The soft footbed makes all the difference.

This is my first pair of Birkenstock's. I liked the look of these because they don't look like a normal Birkenstock. They are super cute and comfortable. I have flat feet so I have to get used to the arch in the shoe each time I put them on. It doesn't take long. I have bad bunions and hammer toes so it is important to find a shoe that has a large enough toe box to accommodate everything. These fit the bill. They were a bit pricey but given the fact that I can't find a shoe that fits without hurting me, it's a small price to pay.

Wow! Best shoes I have ever worn. My hip and foot pain are gone and I don t wake up stiff and sore in the morning. These were comfortable right out of the box - they did not need breaking in and were so comfortable.

I got my order today, and I love the Birkenstock Messina clogs/sandals. Normally wear a 35 not available so ordered 36 narrow and the fit is perfect. Length is perfect. I ordered black and brown. I absolutely love these shoes. Thanks Zappos and thanks for the fast delivery. You are the best.

These shoes, when fitted well, are ridiculously comfortable and very cute. They make the feet sing. I purchased these to wear with some dressier outfits but alas, they didn't quite create the look I was going after so they need to be returned - only for now because of budget restraints. They look good with everything - skirts and leggings and jeans but have that adorable dorky vibe that I would not be opposed to one iota if I wasn't going for a specific dressier, but not fussy but very comfortable look. I really would like to covet these beauties and keep them close by at all times but, alas, I have to keep looking to fulfill the gap in my wardrobe. These are staying on my wish list!

I love these shoes. I think they'd be great with skirts or jeans or even shorts, but my usual size 36 was way too big. I liked them enough to look (away from Zappos) on the web, but can't find 35 (except in Japan, and I can't read the websites) so I'm just waiting to find something similar.

Very supportive and comfortable. I have flat feet and pronounced arthritis of the feet and these are wonderful. On the roomier side, which I wanted. They are adjustable with the strap, of course, so this is not a problem at all.

I'm a guy, and even though Zappos shows these sandals as women's, I thought I'd give them a shot. I wanted an alternative to my open-toe Birks without getting a full-on shoe. On a guy they look unusual but good, and they feel great. Success! Keeping them.

What makes me happy today? Birkenstock shoes and Zappos, who stock them in a narrow width! These Messinas make my feet happy, and they complement long/short skirts as well as jeans.

Love the look, but had to return them because the ankle strap just wasn't comfortable to me, perhaps a little more narrow would have worked. I also wasn't a fan of the rivet on the back of the strap and was worried that would rub my ankle raw in the long run. I really wanted to like these, but for price I needed to know they'd be comfortable.

I am so disappointed. This shoe would be so perfect if it weren't for the button on the ankle strap. It's opposite the closure and serves no purpose. The metal rubs against your foot - would be a great shoe otherwise. Must return.
