Style is very cute, love the shearling on the footbed but the straps are very hard and scratchy (in the red/black buffalo plaid). I tried them on a few times because I really wanted to love them but back in the box they went. I bought a size 37 for my size 7, medium width, high arched foot. Fit was good, comfort was bad.

love the shoes, but this pair had obvious defect at the toe, as you could see the stitching on top of the shearling on one of the shoes (2 large noticeable stitches)

As other reviewers mentioned, there are chunks of hardened glue in the footbed area making the shoe uncomfortable/unwearable. Returned because of this.

The Birks fit perfect but after a couple wears the shearling matted down on the inner side and hard dried glue 2 inches long was exposed and cut the side of my foot. Crazy considering the cost. Be careful

The fit and overall size was fine the only problem that I had was person glueing he shearing on was not put on careful enough and I had to cut it off with scissors and a single edge razor blade, to keep it from rubbing blisters and sores on my feet.

I am a big Birks fan, but didn't care for these. The shearling was very soft, but it felt very stiff and uncomfortable to me.

The shoe was narrow by the toes

I own 6 pairs of Birkenstocks and usually order a size 41. The company did not compensate for the shearling in their sizing. So the 41 was too small for my foot and they did not have any 42’s so I struck out. I thought they looked cute and the shearling is very cozy feeling. I was disappointed, I had to return them. I would recommend sizing up one or two sizes.

I live in Birkenstocks. Based on reviews, I ordered one size up from my normal Birks size (41), only to be disappointed that the 42 was significantly smaller than a regular 41! Very disappointed because they were super cute and so soft. Plan on sizing up 1-2 sizes if you are ordering.

I have tried this cute Birki Arizona Shearling in two sizes now. My normal 38, of which I have several pairs in other styles on this same footbed, felt a half size too small (narrow). I decided to try again with the 39. The straps had much more adjustability in this size but as soon as I took a step, I knew it was going to be wrong and no way to tighten up as the footbed adjusted to my feet. I'm very disappointed. I don't know if this is due to the Arizona style itself or to the addition of the shearling. But for me it is a no. Two plusses however- this style was made in Germany and the lavender color is a lovely, neutral, pink.

Too narrow. I have bought numerous other Birks in narrow, but should have listened to other reviews. Sadly, with sheepskin my small toes went over the edge. They were also a bit shorter than my other 41s. Very disappointed they don’t come in regular. They would have been VERY comfortable!

Step into these and it feels like a hug! HOWEVER, I sent them back. I LOVE these Birks and was looking forward to a cozy Winter, but... The shearling seems to take up space a bit and my true to 36 size for MANY Birkenstocks felt (& looked ) short! I could have exchanged for the next size up, but was told they are a narrow only. I'm uncertain about what a narrow feels like and I was told I wouldn't be able to simply return them and receive credit...?? Credit only.... I decided to wait.

I saw these on someone else and thought they were "jolie laide." French for "so ugly they're cute." In the end, or at least on me - they were just ugly. Comfy as all get out -- but strange and ugly. And I'm betting that -- living in NYC, the shearline would have gotten filthy as anything within moments of my wearing them. Wanted to like 'em. Didn't.

My mocha suede shearling for at-home only wear are wonderful in bare feet and get a 5 star. I ordered the black shearling ones and the glue used to insert shearling was gloppy, stuck out on the inside of the sandal and felt like hard plastic needles in my feet. I sent those back for another black pair and the same problem existed with the black ones. I tried thinking the projections would wear away, but there is also a gap in the glued material and the shoe base, so it's not likely. Not going to pay that amount for sandals that aren't well made. That said, I have had many Birkenstock shoes and have never, ever encountered poor workmanship, so I am surprised that quality control slipped up on the black shearlings produced. Would have liked it if Zappos actually inspected this shoe before sending me another defective pair.

I am very disappointed because I wanted these shoes for an event and when they came the right shoe had no buckle holes. I was not going to put holes in them myself when I just paid so much for them.

The shearling wore out under great toe and heel area after wearing 1 season and as far as I can determine there is no way to replace the foot bed. I would not purchase again, and will not purchase other hybrid type Birkenstocks.

This was my second pair of these shoes. The first was great and lasted until I wore all the shearling off. Unfortunately, the right foot shoe had a small but significant sharp spot where the lower strap met the footbed. Scraped against my instep with every step.

The Left shoe felt larger than the right.

I like everything about these shoes except for an unfortunate design flaw. Embedded into the shearling footbed is a size tag about 2” x 1/2” that has an uncomfortable stiff edge that pokes up and irritates the sole of my foot. Very disappointing, other than that the shoes were comfortable, but I’m returning them.

adorable, comfortable but there is a huge piece of jagged glue or foot bedding that rubs against the inside of the foot. I thought it was a tag to cut out but it’s part of the shoe. maybe just a defective pair.

There were sharp pieces inside right shoe. Glue? Not wearable. Had to exchange.

The glue on the right inside was poking out and scratching the inside of my foot. The buckles looked like maybe some one had tried them a few times and returned them. Very bummed because I love the look!

They fit fine but one shoe has one less buckle hike than the other, so I can get the left one as tight as the right one. Very annoying for an expensive pair of shoes.
