Bought the Doc Martens Virginia Black 8-eye boots at a sale price for my granddaughter who loves them, however, no one told me when I ordered a Sz 9 that I would get the UK size which is a US size 11!!! Then, when I realized my mistake, I went online to get the right size only to find out they were out of stock. They did take my email address & advise me when they were back in stock. I went ahead & wrapped the wrong ones as I wanted to have a Christmas present for her & ordered the correct size - at full price - which came in 2 days before our Christmas party - hope I can return the first shipment & get the replacement shipment for the original price I paid - guess I will find out shortly!!!!

If you have high arches like me, the thin and soft leather tongue is much more forgiving on the tops of your feet. The break-in process is a little painful as to be expected, but once that's done with, these are very comfortable! To help speed up the break-in process and lessen the pain, I found that stuffing socks in them when they're not on your feet actually helped stretch them out.

Nice style, but my heel slide too much. They were an awkward shape for my narrow feet. Not a lot of arch support. I unfortunately returned them.

The soft leather is floppier than the classic Doc and my heel slips in it a bit. Also found it to be narrower. Am exchanging it for the other.

For the price of these boots I would expect excellent arch support but they only provide moderate arch support. I have to use my new balance foam insoles in them. I also have blisters on the back of my heals. Hopefully with time the blisters will go away. They are beautiful boots though.

This boot runs smaller than previous Pascals and also other Docs that I have. I always get a UK5 and these did not fit. The sole was slimmer than in previous Pascals. I am also not sure that I like the pebbly texture of the Virginia leather.

These totally did not fit my foot. My heel slips, the stitching inside rubs on my feet and it is high along the outside of your foot, leaving zip, zero, nada arch support, like a hole. Weird. The overall leather is fine, but the tongue is extremely thin. They look cool, but I sure can’t wear them.
