I believe this is a great boot for some folks...it's heavy for me as I am also aging and my ankles and feet now require sensitive attention. If it were in my younger years, I wold probably like the this boot. It has the quick zipper entry on the side for a boot this high. It lifts you up at least 2"...so I felt that much taller...some folks might like that concept.
I need a lighter boot and something that will not grab my ankles, but all in all its a great boot for the right person...Happy Boot Hunting!!

I'm a big guy, like gorilla sized, and these boots are the best I've found for all day comfort straight put of the box. I never have a worry when I order a pair (3 so far) about being able to unbox, put em on, and go! I have dual knee replacements and these are the only style I've found that I can wear all day at work on the pipeline and not have sore feet and knees.

Been wearing this type of boot on all sorts of terrain for a few years. Gets a bit worn when walking on rock but that's to be expected. Very comfortable, easy on/off.

The boot is superb!
There’s only 1 or 2 pinch point on the tongue but other than that it fits great! I do wear cabin socks for extra support!

The left shoe digs into my ankle causing pain when I walk, also the zip up side should be completely open like the older version it is very hard to get the boot on because it does not open far enough to get my feet in so I have to un tie the boot strings and that defeats the purpose of having a zipper on the boot.

Perfect little tight to get in the first time as expected, the zipper side really helps. So comfortable after adjusting and zippering up. Very supportive of my ankle and arch. Really boots.

I've owned 12 pairs of these boots. I buy a pair per year. I rotate from work use, when new. Then hiking, then home dirty work boots.
I have never been scared of a slip, even on oily slick metal surfaces. It handles heat well, as in steam pipes.
It meets all necessary safety standards.
These are the most comfortable boots I have ever worn. The insole is supportive and cushioned. The inside of the boot "hugs" my ankle. The toe box is plenty big.
