These shoes felt great right out of the box. These are the best shoes I have tried in a long time. My only complaint is that the heel doesn't fit well: too big. I plan to get those heel pads hoping that will work. I wear an orthotic which fit in the shoes. I find that these shoes provide the right structure and that my feet aren't as painful as they usually are, down 75%. I wear a wide shoe and this shoe proved perfect for that. I have received compliments but I feel a bit self conscious sometimes as I remember my grandmother wearing something similar. Maybe she knew something more than I do. Regardless, they look great worn with pants. Wish they came in more colors. The detail on them is quite nice. The sole provides safety. You'll love 'em.

Plantar fasciitis makes shoe shopping a chore, but these shoes are great. Supportive, well made. Cushy comfort; they even have a small line of padding around the back of heel, so no blisters on the heel. I walk a lot for work but am not allowed to wear athletic shoes. These are a perfect solution.

I love my new Cobb Hill Georginas! They are very comfortable, and I am impressed with the high quality. The insoles are heavily padded and the bottom of the shoes are designed to give optimum traction, almost like hiking boots would give. The color of the leather is rich and beautiful. I am very impressed.

A VERY comfortable shoe. It runs narrow and small though. I usually wear a 10 M but an 11 M or 10 W fit much better (I have one of each 11N in black and 10 W in brown. Walk about a mile to work and they feel great!

I call these my Sister Mary Catherine shoes. All I need is a wimple and I'm good to go. The shoes are cool looking, comfortable and well made. The service is excellent. Sister is pleased.

Love these shoes. I am 5'10" so the lower heel is perfect. Good fit and were comfortable the first time I wore them, would definitely recommend.

Extremely comfortable, funky little shoes. After getting a stress fracture last September, I was on the hunt for shoes with more support and found Cobb Hill. So far these shoes and the Bethany boots have been lifesavers! I like the neutral look of the stone/multi: sort of grey, sort of brown, and able to match most anything. I've worn them with both skirts and jeans and been pleased with the look. The comfort level is great, allowing me to walk around all day with no ill-effects. I'm considering buying more from Cobb Hill in the future!

I wear 8 - 8.5 wide. Ordered these in 8W. Thought they were The Answer. I had to lace them as tight as they would go (flat feet), would have been perfect but they were a little tight on my damaged left foot, so I ordered 8.5W from another company. They slipped on my heels. I love Cobb Hill support and comfort of soles, but I am very hard to fit due to multiple foot surgeries. These alas won't work for me.

If I could buy a pair of these for everyone I know I would! These are the most comfy shoes EVER! And I thought the Cobb Hill summer sandals were comfy. I can't take them off. They are hugging my feet and cushioning every step. And cheaper than the Dansko's I thought I'd like more.

The first time I tried on a pair of Cobb Hill shoes I couldn't believe what I was feeling. I was so excited I ran over to my friend's office and told her they felt just as comfortable as athletic shoes. She took a look inside and noticed (I had not) that they were made by New Balance. So, go figure. Someone finally worked out that ladies want dress shoes that feel as comfy as athletic shoes. Love them. Bought them a half size up (7) from my normal (6.5) shoe size. I also normally buy a 7 in athletic shoes. The 7s were perfect.

Cute retro look and stable footing! These are a very true and comfortable fit, flattering to my size 12, with fair arch support. I always need to use inserts, which work well with them. One of the best-made shoes I've had in years!

Love these shoes! Brown is a very cool retro color and very comfy. Zappos is the only place to shop. Great return policy.

Finally, my search for wide-width, low-heeled Oxfords is at an end! Not only do these look great, but they fit my very side feet perfectly. I ordered my usual size and they were extremely comfortable from day 1 -- no breaking in necessary. I wasn't particularly looking for arch support, but was pleasantly surprised to find I didn't need to use my usual inserts. I have the Brown Antiqued color and I love it. All-in-all, one of the best purchases I've ever made and I'll be checking out Cobb Hill's other offerings!

Really pretty shoe -- I SO wanted to keep it. Just a bit too narrow for my wide Fred Flintstones.

Ever since I bought a pair of awesome tan heels a few years ago, I have been a rabid fan of the Cobb Hill line, snapping up several versions of their heels, mary janes and oxfords. I have flipper-style feet, much abused by years of ballet, that require seriously wide shoes. I am also hell on shoes insofar as I walk a mile to work every day - and then, of course, another mile home! On the other hand, I like something a little bit stylish, even if (as an academic) I do not face too high a bar for fashion. I bought these Georgina oxfords in both colors: the antiqued brown and black. On road testing, I found the brown were the usual perfection in terms of fit and comfort. I have now discovered that the black pair are, for some reason, made a little bit narrower and shallower - you know that feeling that your heel is not quite all in even though you know it technically is. At the first wearing, I was surprised and deeply annoyed to find myself with pinched toes and heel blisters - never happens to me with Cobb Hill, even right out of the box. But removing the cushiony inserts helped. They are still not absolutely as comfortable as the brown, but they will be ok. If you have similar foot issues, you might want to try ordering the black a half size larger than your usual size. Overall, then, I am giving the Georgina four stars on the fit metrics. If I were just reviewing the antiqued brown, they would be five. Also, just because I hope the company will note the size oddity with the black leather version, I am saying that these felt smaller than marked. If it were just the brown, I would be saying true to size and width.

I really wanted these shoes to work as they looked so cute on--finally, a wide-width, fashion-forward oxford that doesn't look like a man's shoe or something your grandmother would wear. I'd purchased another Cobb Hill pair of shoes in Wide and it was wide enough for my WW feet. Not so these shoes, sadly, so back they go.

Tried them on and they were comfortable right out of the box. Looked great to get more feminine oxfords, but when I walked in them they slipped too much in the heel, so they are going back. Size 10 D (wide)... if I didn't want to walk int eh shoes, they were definite keepers! :(

I liked the style and it seemed like they would have been comfortable, but they were a bit narrow and short. I probably should have sized up. I decided to keep the Dansko Olive shoes as they fit better.

I love the ways these look, and I think they would be comfortable for many people just as they are. However, I need to use my own orthotic, and I ordered them because a reviewer said there was "plenty of room" in them for her own insole or orthotic. Definitely not true for me. They already have a nice, cushy insole, but there is no way to remove remove it without tearing it out, which I wouldn't do since I couldn't be sure they'd fit anyway. So if you think you'll be able to use them with an orthotic, just be aware that's probably not the case. They are adorable though, and sadly, ALMOST wearable for me. Also, they might run a little small with heavy-ish socks.

I generally wear a size 8 and this fit fine in an 8. It does feel loose in the heel but not bad. They are comfortable to me and I wore them immediately with no break in period required. the only reason I gave it 4 stars was there was very little arch support. For someone with no foot problems that would not be an issue, but I prefer the support as I get older. I still like them, I just won't plan on wearing them to walk several miles in a day.

I couldn't imagine standing at work for ten hours in these. I have picky, boney feet and bunions. They are just not the shoes I'm looking for but would probably be fine for many people with average feet. I sent them back. Zappos is great as always! Love this shoe store!

Ouch. These shoes fit really tight. I am a 9½M in every shoe. No way I could wear these. I love the style and want some lace up oxfords but these are not the shoes for me.

I have been seeking a black leather shoe to replace the running shoes that I wear around town doing my daily errands. The objective is comfort and an upgraded style. When I opened this box, my mind said "What were you thinking?" The heel height and shape is nice, but it is the dull finish of the leather that spoils the appearance of this shoe. I did try them on, and was not happy with the fit. My steady and reliable size 9M was too roomy, even with medium-weight knee highs, and the shoes slipped off at the heel. Another pair of Cobb Hill that I tried on in a local store did the same thing, so perhaps this brand runs half-size large. As always, I thank Zappos for such quick, easy, marvelous customer service.
