I had to go a full size up just to get my foot in. First bought a size down, then my street size, then half size up. Once I got it I loved them.

Ideal climbing shoe for almost every climbing situation. Hits that sweet spot between soft/sensitive and stiff/supportive. My suggestion is to go 1/2 size down from street shoe - the leather stretches enough to match your foot without losing performance. My best choice shoe to try and onsight everything - techy faces and slabs, full tension overhangs, indoor competition climbs - everything!

Fit/Sizing: My street shoe is 10.5 and I wear a 10 in these. Compared to the Dragons they are a full size larger than marked, so if you wear an 11 in those, get a 10 in these. I could have squeezed into a 9.5 and let loose some tears, but I decided to leave that for walking around in my Dragons. These fit and feel exactly like the Evolv Nexxo ("love bump" and all) but the c4 rubber makes this shoe superior in my opinion. Sorry Chris. Performance: These are aggressive enough to boulder in but I really would leave the bouldering to a more sensitive shoe. This is a stiff, edging shoe: it smears okay, but compared to the Dragons or the Team VXi it's garbage. I'd say it performs best on tiny micro edges. I really don't mind roof climbing in these because I'm confident they'll stick. Beefs: These shoes turn your feet blue. The other reviews I've read aren't lying. Also, I don't really like how they're marketing these shoes as shoes for the "cost-conscious." They're a little cheaper than their most expensive shoe...that's one quickdraw. Initially I was actually turned off to these shoes for the way they're marketed because the price difference between these and other shoes is so minuscule that it's not worth mentioning. Using "budget" nomenclature makes me feel like the company cut corners with the product or is trying to perpetuate an idea that these are shoes for a novice climber. Neither of those things are true of these shoes, but it frustrates me nonetheless. In short I think these make a great all-around shoe and I happily slide them on my feet every day.

Comfortable for an aggressive shoe, very grippy, helps you stay stuck to the wall

I bought this model to replace my beloved gray/yellow synthetic HiAngles. A lot has changed with this model since then. The wider forefoot is great for my flat, wide feet, however the higher volume creates a lot of dead space....I should've went with the LV version but I'm satisfied with the fit overall. After reading reviews about sizing, I went with size 12 for a comfortable long session fit (street shoe is 11.5). After a few sessions, I feel like 11.5 would've been fine, and maybe 11 for a true performance fit. Overall, I'm very please with this version.

these have been my go to for a long time, the downside is the toe rubber wears out very fast.

This shoe is an overhang king. I never how much power I could push into my feet until this shoe shoved all my toes into a powerful crimp. Unfortunately I can't wear it for too long because of the narrow shape, and no amount of sessions made it more bearable for my wide feet. I still love this shoe for the possibilities it enables, but I'm upset I can't get an all-day comfortable fit. I bought a size9.5, same as my street shoe and the length is perfect.

I'm a men's 10.5 street shoe size. I normally wear Dragons for bouldering in size 10.5. The 9.5 in the hiangle has the same sole length as the 10.5 dragons. The leather upper however stretches quite a lot as hiangle breaks in, so the shoe is designed with a much tighter body of the shoe than the dragon which is synthetic. As a result, when first trying on they had a super tight fit, but opened up nicely (even over the toes) within 3 sessions. The heel is much shallower than the dragons. I have a foot with a narrow shallow heel but wider ball of foot/toes. I found the dragon, not being able to stretch, was always a little tight in the toe box but way too deep in the heels. The hiangle is great for many profiles of feet, since the leather stretches in the toe box to account for your foot shape. Now about performance: this shoe is stiff. The thermoplast midsole extends to right before the tips of your toes on the sole. The result of this is still some sensitivity when feeling out holds, but a very inflexible sole. This makes the shoe ballin for edging, but makes the shoe a little too inflexible for very steep and overhung bouldering where you really curl your feet into holds or need to contort the shape of your shoe to smedge or curl a toe into a pocket. At the end of the day it comes down to personal preference. I prefer to have I much more flexible shoe at the expense of edging power. For this reason I feel like the hiangle would be perfect without the thermoplast midsole. However, if you dig stiff shoes this may be the shoe for you. If you're buying this as your first pair of aggressive shoes, consider whether you want: 1) a shoe with more support for weaker toe muscles (hiangle) but forces you to use your upper body and core more since your footwork is restricted; or 2)a softer shoe (dragons, teams, etc) which will work those teeny supporting muscles like crazy and allow you to really use your feet and legs more when you climb. Kinda glad I first transitioned into aggressive shoes with Dragons. But now in the hiangles I'm really rediscovering my biceps....

They're fine, but at this price point you could find much better shoes. These have too much forefoot deadspace. The Velcro is too wide at the lower end to really tighten them down.

It's not for me since they're too aggressive and not very sensitive. However my son is used to the Katanas and the Dragos, so he likes these as an in between pair

My shoe inventory includes the OG Moccasym (8.5), Blackwing (7.5), Hornet, (7), Team LE (8.5) and Team 510 (8). My street size is 8.5-9 depending on brand. Got the Hiangle in 8.5. Very tough to get into at first because of the tight opening but once on they are surprisingly SUPER comfy even with curled toes. For a technical fit, street size is perfect. For comfort, I would go up half a size. Unfortunately, these shoes aren't great for narrow feet. Very high volume and baggy with loads of air pockets. Fits fine at the toes, too much upper mid to fore foot space, and loads of air pockets at the side of the heels. The shoes fart with every step I take. The heel also come up really high on the achilles though it doesn't painfully dig into them. These Hiangle remind me a lot of the La Sportiva Solutions but not as painful. The Solutions were baggy and cut into my achilles so bad that they actually left scars. If you have narrow feet, I recommend the women's/lower volume version.

Sadly the new hiangle did not fit my feet. I tried my street size 10 and up sized two times from there to 11 and 11.5. The 10 and 11 were way to tight heel to toe and really knuckled up my toes. The 11.5 was slightly better but the upper was to big and had to much movement around the foot. But the shoe looked awesome and I'm going to try the aleon.

Size up at least two sizes. I had to exchange my shoes and it's been three weeks and haven't received them.

THE SIZING IS WAYYYYYYYYYY OFF. I wear a size 8 regular shoe (have room at the toes) and a size 7 La Sportiva Katana comfortably. I can even fit kids 6 if I REALLY wanted to (will be a little tight) I ordered a size 8 initially, knowing how small my feet actually are, and I could barely get my foot it, it was super tight. I exchanged them for a size 9.5, and its still way too small. I can't exchange them anymore because I guess we only get one. So now I have to return them. If you decide to get these either go in-store and try them or order 2.5 sizes up at the least.

Terrible sizing and return/exchange process. I don't know what adidas is doing, but the sizing for these are WAYYYY OFF. In adidas, I wear size 8-8.5 depending on sport or casual fit. I can't even fit my feet in the size 8.5's and size 9's hurt just sitting on a couch. The exchange process online is fine, but the shipping times for returns/exchanges are horrible and I missed my deadline so I am stuck with climbing shoes that don't fit. To make matters worse, even if I went up in size, I think there would be too much space in the Achilles and in-step area. If you climb you know that is a big no no, especially for slab climbing

I wanted to love this shoe so bad. The fit of the shoe is amazing. I have tried many different climbing shoes and I've never found a shoe with a better heel or a better toebox. Unfortunately, the rubber in the toe is already peeling after a few months of (infrequent) use. I can usually expect to get at least twice the amount of time out of my climbing shoes. When I spoke to customer service, they refused to exchange the shoe.
