OK for the price. I did notice on wet asphalt or concrete they do not have the best grip and are a little slippery. If you have wide feel they may feel too narrow but just a bit.

I love the look of this shoe but it didn't fit my feet. I typically wear a 8 D but this shoe runs small. Returning.

The shoe might be great, but I could not tell. I had already exchanged a 10 for a 10 Wide. The Nike Box had a label stating that the shoe inside was a 10W. The actual shoe was another 10. It was not a wide shoe and was as tight as the original. I just did not want the Zappos crew to have to go through all the 10W boxes to locate the actual wide shoe. I blame this problem on Nike. I'll be back with Zappos, but I am not so sure about Nike.

These shoes were not wide enough and pinched my feet. I purchased a 9W (2E) but they felt like a medium width to me. I even loosened the laces but that didn't help. I am returning these.

I wanted to like this shoe but I need orthotics. Even with 1/2 size larger and wide it was tight at the toes with my orthotics inserted.

I like the down shifter. I actually was looking for the inisiator because I have had them in white and black. So these were the closest to get.

These shoes are cute and appear to be comfortable at first. I have been wearing them for several weeks at work. My back and hips have never been more uncomfortable after a day at work. Do not buy these if you stand in hard concrete floors all day. Nikes are my go to shoes but these ones did not match up.

Not really the most comfortable shoe. Though I have sensitive feet. They hurt my heel after walking 1.5 miles and I also got a blister. They seem kind of flimsy like they wouldn't last very long or be very good for actual running or walking in.

The rubber toe cap and sole, instead of being grippy, is unpleasantly slick. Cannot recommend for use on gym floors. Your toes will slide out from under you!

Overall, this shoe is not bad. It is much bulkier than the picture lets on which is why I do not like them. They are very thick and clunky, especially in the heel. I was hoping for something much lighter and less thick. However, they are comfortable.

I always loved Nike shoes because I knew I could wear a new pair right out of the box. Well, no more. I first looked for new Nikes at the store, but all the standard width shoes were so narrow I couldn't even get my foot into them. I should've realized there was a problem with sizing then. In the past I've been able to wear standard width athletic shoes, even though wide was more comfortable. I ordered these with wide width, and they're STILL too narrow. I tried wearing them for 2 or 3 hours for a few days to break them in, but when I finally wore them all day, my feet hurt so much by the end of the day that I couldn't wear shoes at all over the weekend. A week later, and my feet still hurt. What happened, Nike? I'm not going for a fashion statement. I just want comfortable athletic shoes.

These are nice shoes. Unfortunately they are too narrow at the ball of the foot and toes. My feet go numb when working out. Normally Nike does a great job but this one was just too small.

bought theses after reading all the positive reviews and since they were so cheap but when they got here they were terrible. I currently use the air relentless 2 to go to the gym and they are VERY comfortable I was hoping these would replace those but they are so stiff, tight and uncomfortable that I couldn't even imagine wearing these just to walk around. I will definitely be returning theses.

This is an expensive shoe, and as such, is not as well made. Insoles cannot be removed, and I find the shoe is smaller than similarly sized shoes. I will return it.

I bought this shoe based on the reviews I read that it would be great for cross training or Zumba but I find that it gives no support. When I try and balance with weights my foot wobbles and hurts. I feel like the arch support is bad and there is not enough support on the sides of the feet. It is too bad because it is a comfy shoe but not right for my typ of work outs.

No arch support! Flat as pancakes. It's a shame because I love the look of this shoe. Can't very well run with no arch support...my feet will definitely end up in pain!

That heel cup is hollow. You can't tell on the picture, but it's a very large, hollow expanse, and that is bad for those of us with high arches or plantar fasciitis. Had to return, wasted my good coupon code, and my feet are ridiculously sore after just wearing in the house for an hour.

I purchased these shoes back in September 2015. I bought Nike because of brand name recognition and I thought that they had to be good if they were Nike. I am on my feet working most of the day, so I needed something good to help support my knees and feet. After having these shoes for 7 months, I just had to visit a podiatrist because I now have horrible plantars fasciitis in my left foot, and moderate in my right. I have never had issues with my feet in my life until I had these shoes. When I first noticed I had problems, I thought maybe it was the season that was making me achy. And then it got progressively worse, so I bought new insoles and put them in my shoes. And then it just worse and worse, thus my visit to a podiatrist. He said Nike is bad news for arch support and that I need to get new shoes right away and this should help. So, I now leave the world of Nike for good, and hope that my feet return back to normal with the help of a shoe with more arch support. I've had Puma and New Balance in the past and never experienced any issues, so Nike is not where its at when it comes to arch support, I guess.

Disappointed by the toe box of these shoes, it's very narrow, which is why so many reviewers are suggesting to order a half size or whole size up. I did that, and the shoe is too long but uncomfortable on my toes. Then I ordered my actual size in a W, and the width is absolutely the same with no measurable difference. So, the 10.5 medium is the same width as the 10W. These are narrow in the toes and uncomfortable. I have a mid-width foot, most of the time I wear a regular width, and once in awhile need a wide in certain shoes. Also no arch support, completely flat.

I bought the Nike Downshifter 6 to replace my old Nike walking shoes. Not that there's anything wrong with those, but somewhere I heard I should replace my walking shoes once a year. It's probably been three. So I did a little research, checked reviews, and chose the Nike Downshifter. I'm a bigger lady with a wider foot. I tried my size 11s on and was excited by the fit -- very accommodating! But then I stood up. I took a few steps and I felt as if the foam on the inside of the heel was collapsing with each stride. Nowhere in any of the reviews did anyone mention the giant gap in the sole's heel. They're molded that way. what kind of support does that gap offer exactly? Doesn't matter; I'm packing them back up for return.

I have been wearing Nikes forever! They are always so comfortable. I do not know what happened to this pair. Are the sizes being trimmed down? I wear a 10½ medium. This pair is too snug and when you tie them the shoe laces are too short! I will be returning them.
