I ordered this shoe along with Ryka Sky Walk, Ryka Dash 3 and New Balance 680v5. All four were very good, but this one had the best fit, cushioning and width. I usually switch between Rykas, New Balances, Easy Spritis and Merrells (trail runners). I have one artificial knee and severe arthritis in the other and wear custom-made orthotics. This Ryka shoe was absolutely great for me. Its insole was glued in just slightly. I was able to remove the inserts easily and put in my athletic orthotics. The toe box is roomy for my pronounced bunions and plantar fasciia. With my orthotics, this shoe was so comfortable -- in width, length, cushioning and breathability! The very first day, I went to my Turbo Kick class. I did not even notice that I had new shoes on. I also used the shoes for a Zumba class and for a barbell weight-training class. The shoe was very comfortable and "cushiony" for all my gym classes -- that is exactly what wanted. So a cross-training shoe?? Any negatives? Yes. The shoe laces are surprisingly short in length. So you cannot double knot them. Also, though for a sneaker they look good, they are certainly not stylish. Why can't we get Italian-style sneakers in this country? They really know how to blend style with comfort!
I'd also recommend:
Clarks, Propet, New Balance

I hadn't tried this shoe before but liked my first pair of Rykas (this is my second pair). This shoe offers good support and stability, making it a comfortable shoe. I'll be buying this again!

I bought these running sneakers, because every other sneaker made for man exacerbated my plantar fasciitis. I found that initially the sneakers felt rather short but in wearing them for a while and breaking them in they are now perfect. My plantar fasciitis does not bother me when I run with these they make my feet feel very good. I am going to buy another pair as I run a lot and I like to change my sneakers out every six months

One of the most comfortable pair of sneakers I’ve ever owned. Buying more so I have spares. Ryka is the only brand of sneakers I ever buy. Made by women for women.

I ordered the Frost Grey/English Rose/Chrome color version of this Ryka. It is very good looking and I don't usually care about that but it got my attention. I have a narrow heel with a wider toe area so Ryka is perfect for me. The arch support feels wonderful for me in this shoe. I have worn them around the house for a couple of hours and they are perfect with athletic socks. Ryka shoes just plain fit me every time. I buy an 8 1/2 for no sock wearing and a 9 if I want to be able to wear socks. You cannot go wrong with Ryka because they are actually designed to fit a woman's foot. I plan to put many miles on this very pretty shoe. Thanks to Zappos I can look at tons of selections and have them sent to me with free shipping and returned with free shipping. You cannot get better customer service anywhere.

Awesome gym shoe! I have wide flat feet and take a 9.5W. I also over-pronate - my feet tend to roll inward a lot. At first I was a bit concerned as the shoe was tight at the ankle where it ties - and everywhere else was perfect. I wore them around the house and very quickly got used to them - they are superb in comfort. The toe box has nice space and does not cramp your feet. The memory foam insole is supportive and comfy. The only thing I wish was that the shoe laces are awfully short... but that's an easy fix. I have real trouble finding good athletic shoes that do not cramp my toes and give good support for walking, running around in etc. This is my first pair of Ryka's but not my last for sure.

Eula shoes are always good. This pair is as well. I can wear Ryka shoes out of the box and they are comfortable.

I wear 8.5B(M) in most shoes and ordered my regular size. They feel amazing and fit great. Very comfortable. The laces are tight so I had to make a few adjustments, but I love how this shoe hugs the back of my heel, no slippage and no blisters. To get the laces longer for double knotting don't use the very top eyelet. The inserts are comfortable, my feet don't hurt or feel tired. The toe box is wide so nothing is cramped. With mesh across the full front I think my toes may get a little chilled in winter months, but overall I'm very pleased with this shoe and hope they last. I ordered 2 colors to see which would look best. I feel the pink/gray will be the most flexible with my warddrobe. I also tried the Ryka Devotion and the Ryka Skywalk. I loved the color options of the Devotion and almost kept it, but the Ryka Ulitmate won out for comfort.

These Rykas are incredibly comfortable. I wear a 9.5w in shoes but usually go up a half size in sneakers. The 10w fit well...wide toe box was lovely. My heel slipped too much for me to keep. It's like it was too shallow for me...no heel cupping at all. And the memory foam insole stunk the high heavens. Just moderate arch support and they didn't help my over-pronation issues. The search goes on !

This is my second pair of Ryka Ultimates. I am a nurse and use them as my work shoes for 12 hour shifts on my feet. I have bunions and plantar fasciitis, so having a wide toe box, good arch support, cushion, and a narrow heel are all imperative. This shoe fits the bill. The only reason I am replacing my old pair is that the mesh fabric is wearing through where my bunions rub on the sides, but the flexible fabric is also what gives my bunions and toes enough room to spread out. The insoles are removable, meaning I can use my custom orthotics, but I tried out the new pair with the memory foam insoles they came with and felt great. I went with the wide width this time, and my toes feel less squished, but my heels still don’t seem to slip. No need to break in, either. The soles on my old pair look like new after almost 3 years, and I much prefer the old color—a deep royal blue that matched my scrub tops. This time I had only 2 color options—gray with mint or gray with pink accents. Not a fan of either, but with my foot issues, when you find a shoe that works, you stick with it. I replaced the white laces with gray and they looked much better. Bottom line, these shoes mean my feet are just about the only part of me not tired or aching at the end of the day.

Years of running and high impact sports resulted in bunion surgeries at age 37. I tried for months to find sneakers that didn?t rub on the sensitive scars and I worried I would have to give up the sports I loved. Ryka sneakers were the only ones with a wide toe box that still gave great support. Seven years later, I?m still running, taking Zumba and cross training classes without any pain. I can?t say enough great things about these sneakers!

This shoe was very comfortable from the minute I put it on. I teach in a building with painted concrete floors. I was able to wear these all day and not have my legs hurt.
