I'm 65 years old and after giving up on ever finding a pair of shoes that fit, I just began to buy men's shoes and cram all sort of inserts in them. I was stunned to see a size 12 Narrow in this style. I just bought my first red car and decided it was time for my first red shoes, big feet or not! I was fearful they would look like kayaks on my feet but I unzipped them, slipped my feet in, and instantly heard the Angel Choir. I nearly cried they fit so beautifully. Long enough and snug without being tight. Truly it's the first time I've ever had shoes fit as though they were custom made. And if that wasn't enough, they are made in the U.S.! The leather is high quality and the price, though high, is worth every penny.

Comfortable, good-looking shoes--in 10 narrow. I wish the heel material didn't leave black marks on my floors, though! I also wish Munro would acknowledge all the reviewers who point out that the toe box of Munro shoes tends to be too narrow. I'm happy that's not true with the Berkley, but it IS true pretty often with Munro (I own about 8 different styles of Munro shoes, but have had to return probably 4 different styles because of too-narrow toes). After a lifetime of buying narrow shoes--which has become more difficult, not easier, in the past 40 years--I feel comfortable asserting that Munro should change its basic shoe shape to have a (somewhat) wider toe box, to be in keeping with virtually all other shoe manufacturers I've bought from.

I buy all Munro shoes and like the fact that they're made in America. But this new style lacks the cushioning of older shoes. Also, the shoe is too flat. I have plantar fasciitis and heel pain and this shoe exacerbated my pain. I do love the Alpine shoe by Munro.

I was hoping this was just a slightly newer version of the original style. The sole is much thinner and therefore not what I need for a walking tour. Shoe is fine otherwise.

PLEASE NOTE : the zipper is ORNAMENTAL and unzipping does not make it easier to put the shoe on. These are a tight slip-on. These run both LONG and NARROW. I normally wear an 8B/8M but that size was too long in the toe and too narrow across the width. A 7.5W fits perfectly. In this size, these shoes are very comfortable right out of the box (worn with thin socks).

I am EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED. I bought the shoes with the top zipper, only to find that I cannot unzip the shoe and slide my foot into it because it has an elastic band under the zipper. I think the zipper is by and largely ornamental. If you are going to get them on, it takes a shoe horn. Merrell made a canvas shoe with a top zipper that was WONDERFUL! Merrell does still make that shoe,but not in NARROW. jessieinkansas@gmail.com

I was thrilled to feel the fit of these shoes when I put them on - they fit well, which is a rare experience for me. I wore them for a day, and: 1) was disappointed that the soles are hard and noisy when walking (it sounded like I was wearing a hard-sole heeled shoe); 2) the footbeds are not well cushioned so my feet were very sore; 3) my legs and back were sore after wearing these all day! Sadly, since I've worn these, I cannot return them. I haven't investigated options for softening the footbed, but I don't think a pair of shoes this price should require upgrading with additional costly options. Munro, you failed me.

This is my second purchase of this shoe. Why? Because I love it so much and am concerned Munro may stop making it in the future. I have very hard to fit size 12 SSSS feet. These shoes are comfortable and stylish. They look good with tights, slacks and even casual dresses. They hug my very narrow feet and fit snug in the heel and toe area. Perfect! Wish more colors were available.

I have two pairs of these shoes and realize that I need to order more as this is my absolute go to shoe for everything. It’s very comfortable, looks great and gives me a little help when walking. I’m in decent shape but as I approach 60 I realize that I need to make sure to wear shoes that help me and not hurt me in any way. I find this fit true to size. I’m an 8m. I only wear Munro now. It’s the best brand for me. Reliable beautiful shoes that are well made. The support inside of the shoe had some kind of metal so I always need to take them off when going through airport security. Minor inconvenience. Oh, and I’m on the treadmill at a hotel wearing the shoes. They can easily substitute sneakers for working out.

This shoe is SO comfortable even better than the Munro Traveler. My foot can only wear Munro shoes so I have several styles. This shoe is my favorite so far!

On a scale of 1-10 I give it a 12! I have a really hard time getting a good fit and these go far beyond good. I put them on in the morning and forgot about them all day. I get that about once in a couple hundred pair of shoes. I’m ordering another pair right now.

After I tried the on I decided to send them back....something about the zipper. Well, i walked around in them on carpet while I went to the computer to print out the return and then did something else and after a whiole i felt like I had nothing on....I mean they are so comfortable!!! So I had to contact zaps since I was returning another pair with them soI can keep them. I hope they have good arch suport as I couldn't tell walking on carpet. I'm thrilled!

Thank you Zappos! I have a really hard time finding shoes that fit - these are perfect! I wear a size 12 M, and most "loafer" type shoes are too short, or long enough, but too big everywhere. Thanks for your patience Zappos! I finally found a shoe that fits that I can wear to work!

I have had success with Munro shoes in the past accomodating my narrow heel. With this particular shoe, unfortunately, I felt my heel would come out of the shoe easily. Sad to be returning

I have worn Munro for years but was very disappointed with the three pair I recently ordered and all are going back. There is absolutely no padding in the area where the ball of the fits and it is very hard and uneven.

Could not get foot int shoe. Zipper opens & closes but is decorative only, covering heavy elastic, does not create larger opening in shoe. Also missing stitches, very disappointing, below Munro standards. Returned.

Great fit and arch support. I ordered the wide width because I have a bunion and it fits great!

Nice looking shoe, slimming effect on the foot, versatile enough to wear for casual or work with slacks. The zipper is functional, but does not open the shoe completely; rather it opens to another band of elastic which allows you to increase the stretch over the instep. The problem for me: I incorrectly thought it had a wedge sole, and it does not. Felt slightly narrower and slightly shorter than other Munro shoes I've tried.

Extremely comfortable. I’ve worn these a lot for many years. Particularly good for people with knee issues

This is my second pair and these shoes fit snugly, but not tight, they give perfect support and look great.

These are surprisingly comfortable shoes, even for my problem feet with bunions. Highly recommend.

The shoe is very attractive and fits true to size, though tight, due to the high vamp. The zipper is, I think, more for show than function. I need a shoehorn to put the shoe on. I like the shoe, it fits well, but feels hard on my foot. My feet are long and skinny, without much padding. I wish the shoes had a softer feel to them. They are too tight to add an insole for cushion. But they fit and look good.

As usual Munro never disappoints! Comfort the minute you put on and the red is fun! I like that you can just slip on an go!
