I really like the boot's style and unusual look. They appear to be extremely well made. The issue for me is that I have a high instep. With effort, I was able to get the right boot on and it was very comfortable. I was not able to get the left boot on at all. (I have broken some bones in both feet and it can be difficult to find comfortable closed shoes. I usually opt for clogs and Birkenstocks. If I could have gotten the left one on and it was as comfortable as the right, I would have kept them. But that was not to be.

I read the reviews about sizing up, but I'm a 7.5 and the 7 fit me perfectly. Really cute, comfortable and warm.

I love this! The solid sole is great. It is true to size and it fits nicely!

These are great boots. Like other reviewers I had to size up (I usually wear 7½ or 8 but I needed 8.½ just to get them on). The boots do get scratched easily but they are solidly constructed and some scratches adds a little character. The boots do not breath at all which was annoying when wearing on a plane but nice when walking around in the cold.

I loved these boots as soon I saw them, but hesitated ordering them after reading some of the reviews. After a couple of weeks, I still wanted them so took the risk and ordered them, since Zappos has such an easy return policy. I agree with some of the reviews that the left foot is a little smaller, or at least a little harder to get into. However, once on, they felt true to size (at least to me because my left foot is a little smaller). After wearing them for a couple of weeks, they are somewhat easier to get on. They're really comfortable, and I can wear them all day. They're well made and look so cute, I'm glad decided to order them.

At first they were tight to put on, but after a few wears they are incredibly comfortable and keep my feet warm. I receive compliments every time I wear them. I find them to be super cute, unique but not too edgy.

Fabulous boots! I went on a factory tour at Woolrich this summer and when I saw these boots, I was smitten! FYI -- established in 1830, Woolrich is the oldest continuously operating woolen mill in the United States. Cool.(Though the boots are apparently assembled in China.) But back to the boots -- I took the advice and ordered a half size larger, which indeed was necessary to pull them on when brand new. I wore them around the house for a day, and by then, the leather had softened enough that the 'on-and-off' was easy. These are lovely, with a nice attention to stitching. They are sturdy, and comfortable for walking all day, as well as light hiking. My only tiny complaint is that I would have liked to see a match on the plaid fabric seam at the front -- the two halves are offset, and my designer's eye finds this a bit unsatisfactory.

These boots are beautiful, unique, and very well made. I can tell they will hold up for a very long time. The only problem I have had is some rubbing on the back of my right foot - where the leather meets the wool inside the boot. However, it has gotten better as I have broken them in (it will take some time to break them in - so give them a chance). Overall, I'm very happy with these boots!

Now that the weather has turned I am finally able to wear my new pair of boots from Woolrich. I have the 'Baltimore's. They are cozy and comfortable, but what I am most impressed with is the awesome styling and beautiful craftsmanship. These boots are going to get even better with age, I can tell.

Fell in love when I first saw these red/black buffalo plaid Woolrich boots but found them very difficult to get on, especially the left one, for some reason. I may return them as a result but will give it 48 hours of wearing them around the house on carpet first before deciding.

Love this boot! When I first put it on there was one spot that felt a little snug on the outside of my foot, so i was kind of disappointed because I really liked them. I wore them around the house for 20 minutes, and they were fine - the tight spot had completely gone away. I wore the boots to an all day event that day - and after a couple hours they felt like a pair of shoes I had owned for 3 months. I think they're made from really quality material, so they're just comfy.

I have an average foot and I could not get the boots on. There is no zipper or buckle that can be adjusted. They are meant to be a slip on boot...which is why I chose to purchase them. Too bad they are very cute but extremely narrow!
