Very durable and lasting comfort. Don't depend on the waterproofing for too long, but that's average.

The Boondock is actually really comfortable. The rubber sole is soft so it grips really well and the gray foam layer absorbs a lot of shock. It has a quiet step, meaning when my heel hits the floor, you don't hear a "clunk" so many other boots on the market. It's built like a tank. This is one of the few Timberland work boots that has the sole sewn to the upper. My only gripe is the sizing. They are unnecessarily large in the ball of the foot. They are still very wide. There's a lot of room in the foot, making it more prone to give me blisters. I feel like I'm wearing clown shoes. I can't even imagine what the wide looks and feels like. But seriously, timberland should put that foam layer in every sole they make. That feels amazing

I'd been using a pair of wolverines for about 6 months that were finally starting to seperate at the heels. Working in packaging, solid toes was the main priority, and these boots fit and exeeded that bill. Good traction, stability, and they appear to fit the listed 9.5 size (can some style points fit in too?) I haven't had any long term usage, but on some occasions have worn them almost 18 hours, and my only denouncement is that these aren't featherweight boots.

I work 11-12 hours a day on wet areas that includ oil / water i used to own pitboss 6" that has the best oil / water resistace i ever used , i have wide feet , i decided to give thos a try after using my pitboss over 3 years and i must say its the most comftable boot i ever had , the oil/water resistance is little bit less effective then the pitboss but i could stand long hours and have my feet warm and DRY!!! extreamly waterproof! LOVE IT!

I drive truck and am on various surfaces through out the day.. These are by far the most comfortable boots I have ever owned, and also the most expensive. I tend to crush the soles and padding in my boots within 3 months, with insiles buying another 3-6 months. For the $150+ I paid for them, I would have hoped they would hold up better. The sole at the edge of the heel has a small tear, creating a flap. This is my ONLY complaint in the 7 months I've had them. I'm hoping that Timberland will stand behind these and in return, they'll havea customer for life.

I keep this pair of boots in my truck for bad weather. Held up great so far, no issues in durability or keeping my feet dry.

son-in-law had to return product because it was a bit heavy and a bit wide for his foot, but said these were about the best he ever tried.

I use these boots for work, and while I have been a "Pit Boss" wearer for a decade, I decided to give these a try. These boots are comfortable - really comfortable. Actually a little too comfortable. The sole has middle layer of really cushy soft material, which is really soft and compliant. Ideally this would work well, but for me in a work boot, this allows the boot to roll a little side to side where a slightly stiffer sole would resist this rolling. Other than this really minor complaint, these boots are really great looking, tough, and almost perfect for daily use in a work environment. I do love them, but I will start using them for casual wear more than work.

the boondock 6 inch is a comfortable boot. don't get me wrong. the bottom of your feet will thank you after a long day standing on concrete. i have had 2 problems with this boot though. they are wide. i mean very wide. if you tie the laces tight though you should of no problem, and that leads to my second problem. with both hooks looped tight, the top of the boot dug into my leg and would hurt to walk. the solution was only tie the bottom hook and they are as comfortable as any shoe you will ever wear. i do like that they put the hooks on this boot and that is why i will not get the 8" boondocks. it is a nice feature. all in all, a great boot if you have it tied properly.

I work in the oilfield, so these boots are really put to the test. They are by far the most comfortable, best fitting, and most durable boots that I have ever owned. As mentioned in the title, only one issue, they leak at the seam where the boot meets the sole. I would recommend these boots to anyone because of the comfort and protection they offer, just make sure you purchase seam sealer along with the boot. My feet have never felt so good after a 12.5 hour shift. Great work Timberland!!

Comfortable boot, but the sole is the only problem, it doesn't last. I would recommend boondock boots for light jobs.

I'm an Automotive Technician and these boots were comfortable until the insole came apart. They looked good until they started cracking and falling apart. 1 year old. Too much $ for it to break down that fast. Might be good if your in a different profession. I think its the constant bending, squating, and kneeling that does this. To the outer soles and leather. But the insoles breaking down like that is crazy unacceptable.

I bought this boot to wear to work. The sole is very comfortable. That being said, the boot is heavier than others. Also, on the pair I have there is an area on the tongue of the boot where the stitching comes together that has created a large knot (it feels like) and when I tighten my laces...it digs into my leg and has created a bruise. That alone makes me want to buy a different pair.

I bought these for my husband and I ordered them in his size and they were far too big around the top off his foot. The extra room caused his foot to move too much in the boot and within a few days of having them they started causing him foot pain. I am returning and exchanging them for a different size in hopes it will solve the problem. If not we will have to find something else.

Great boot, however for me my only complaint is the sole of boot doesn't last if you're a hard worker! If you're lazy then these should last you two years or so!
